February 20th at Metro, be there!

Well, we made our grand 2009 debut at Beat Kitchen in Chicago, IL, and we were, sincerely, overwhelmed by the response; we are so, so very thankful to our GREAT MULTITUDE - friends, family, and the faithful who braved the arctic conditions to make their love for us, and our band, known. Thank you for helping us do what we so fiercely love. We especially LOVE AND APPRECIATE Jessica & Taylor; thank you for helping us become less poor - one T shirt at a time.

We attempted two of our new and evolving songs - 'dangerous' and 'couleur' (previously titled 'lost in the ordinary' and probably will be renamed at least 11 more times); we hope you enjoyed our works-in-progress as we have many to come.

All in all, it was a good start to what we think will be a extraordinary year for URBANITES.

Our first experience at METRO was grand; thank you to the entire Metro staff for taking such great care of us; thank you to Christian Picciolini and our own Mike 'you don't need to thank me' Racanelli for hosting us so graciously. Moreover, thank you to all of you who expressed support for our music that night; many purchased our CD and / or T shirts (we nearly sold out), some had driven from more than five hours away (near Kentucky) and said they'd love to come see us again, some volunteered to sell our merch at future performances, and one person drew all over me with a Sharpie marker whilst trying to convert me to Judaism. A special thanks to Briana Bialk for sending her exceptionally rad photos.

All of you made this a night we'll always remember.
