Atlanta, GA (June 2006) The Lords Of The Underground, multi-platinum icons of the golden era of Hip Hop, announce the formation of the Lord Gang Worldwide which is a conglomerate of major and indie recording artists, actors, dancers, authors, songwriters, production companies, independent record labels, publicity, multi-media, marketing and public relation firms, clothing companies, publishers, film production companies, disc jockeys, agents, managers, consultants and more that has come together for one common cause, which is to expand the independent. It is the era for the revival, preservation and commemoration of Hip Hop. Members represent a timeless body of work in the honor of Hip Hop. Founded on the principles of Hip Hop, all are welcome.
Lords Of The Underground-
MCs Mr. Funke, DoItAll Dupré and DJ Lord Jazz, a hip-hop trio based out of Newark, NJ together have become part of hip-hop history earning Platinum and Gold success with "Here Come the Lords", "Keepers of the Funk", and underground honors for the limited release "Resurrection". Now, as hip-hop icons, Lords of the Underground stand poised to carve their niche in the game even deeper. In between touring with hip-hops elite doing seminars and performing, Lords of the Underground have begun work on their fourth LP titled House of Lords and mix tape Heartbeat of the Ghetto. In March 2006, LOTUG formed Lord Gang Worldwide, which spans the USA, Canada, UK, and Denmark to Asia.
Their projects include a new television series titled inside the industry which is an informative point of view entertainment television program that captivates the viewer with a confluence of behind the scenes interviews, entertainment, news, industry politics, how tos and real talk. Host Du Kelly gives the viewer a first hand look at what part our Inside guests play in their respective roles as to what we see and hear in entertainment everyday. He has worked with legends like Quincy Jones and with a multitude of up & coming artists. He also appeared in popular television programs such as Law & Order, Oz (HBO), New York Undercover, and in Indy films like Durdy Game and Somewhere In the City with Bai Ling and Sandra Bernhardt, and Cross the Line with Taye Diggs and Hill Harper.
Look for other Lord Gang projects to hit this summer, especially The Lord Gang Compilation CD Vol. 1 featuring the Lord Gang indie artists & producers, which will be released this fall. We are bringing some serious heat. The LGz are currently working on a National Tour, two motion pictures- GAUP written by Blk Sun, VP of LGz & Fiesta written by Shelley Halima, future projects include motion pictures, commercials, music videos & albums.
