What is life without passion?

How can one life without being passionate about it?  Remember when you were younger and you did everything in your power to get the cookie before supper?

Well that's what passion is, doing everything in our power to reach a goal or end. You won't let anything stand in your way.  You'll do anything just to get what you want. And that's how we need to be with the calling God has for us. We can't let anything stand in our way of reaching our full potential.  We must find our calling from God and then run after it as if our next breath were our last.

Yet, so many times we don't follow through on our calling.  For a time we have a passion for it but then something happens, it could be anything.  Maybe it's having to wait three years before it can ever begin to happen.  Instead of staying passionate about our calling, we give up when the going gets tough.  And it will get tough, Satan is out to stop us at ever step we take.  We have to fight for it.  And that's another thing that makes us passionate for something, we fight for it.  I love what Bebo said, "You're so willing to fight someone over nothing, yet when it comes to fighting Satan you give up right away."  We need to fight for our calling and be passionate for it.  If we have lost our passion, we must ask God to give it back to us.  It's the only way, and God is more than willing to.  He'll even give you more than you had before. 

This is very clear in my life.  For over a year I had been passionate about Master's Commission and going to it after highschool.  Yet earlier this year, I was doubting whether I really wanted to go or not.  I could tell I was losing my passion.  I asked God what was going on and He told my I had lost my passion.  I asked to have it restored and no I can barely keep myself together over Master's.  I'm bursting at the seems to tell everyone about Master's.  And I know nothing will stand in my way.

And another thing, when one is passionate about something, they are willing to give up everything they know to reach it.  Nothing and no one will keep them from reaching that goal.  It will be hard and you will feel lost at times, yet when God has called you to do something He has directed your path.

So don't give up, stay passionate and reach that goal.

Life changes quickly and interesting situations come out of nowhere.  Well, what can ya do.  And when the once in a lifetime chance comes around take it no matter the cost.  It's worth it especially if it's one of your deepest desires.  Take the wisdom of your friends but in the end do what your heart says, even if it means saying goodbye.  Do what you must because you don't want to regret anything.
