Ok, so right now I am sick and am unable to do anything but sit here at the computer. I saw this 'blog' thing and thought I could start one. And so it begins. This one will be about a few songs that I think are worth listening to and possibly worth others to listen to also. They are all great songs, at least in my opinion, and if anyone bothers to even read this, they should give them a try. But before I start, a pre-emptive apology: my musical tastes are skewed towards the 'punk' and 'metal' side of the musical spectrum. Some songs my not be for the faint of heart or the elderly. And there will be a significant lack of older songs, for the simple reason that I just cant remember them off the top of my head. But all these songs have spoken to me, and I think they provide a good sampling of a type of music that has so many names, 'punk' or 'emo' or 'emo-core' 'hardcore' 'metal' 'pop punk' 'rock' 'old-school punk' 'skate punk' etc. One thing they all have in common is that they all come from rock n roll. And that is all that matters. Now the songs (in no particular order):

1. Metallica ride the lightning classic metallica song
2. Social Distortion ball and chain one of the best punk songs ever written, ever
3. Minor Threat minor threat they showed everyone how to throw down
