END OF THE BAND

Us fellas in Sleep the Season have decided to call it a day.  It was a hard choice and we wish that we could keep making music together for you wonderful people until the day we die. But, our situations have changed and we realized its time to stop.

Some of us will be going on to other projects and some of us currently play in other bands. So keep you're eyes peeled for shows.

FINAL SHOW

We are going to be playing one last show at the Merchant Ale House in St Catharines on December 6th. It's a sunday night, but we are going to try to end things early enough for you. The Merchant Ale house was the venue that we played our very first show 5 years ago.  It is not the biggest venue, so please try to come early to ensure your spot.

NEW EP

As a goodbye present, we are going to be recording a new EP that includes 5 songs. Two of the songs have been recorded and are up on our myspace page, but have not yet been released in CD or Download.

Before the show we will be putting up some preview tracks for you to check out, so please check back here.

We would like to thanks everyone who has stuck with us over the past few years and we hope to see yuo all at the show.

Hey Guys,

incase you havent heard yet, Ben, drummer of Sleep
the Season, has decided to move on. He is one of our best friends and
we support his decision. That being said, we are playing TWO final
shows with him in the coming week. Then we will be taking some down
town to reformat ourselves and get working on some new material.

IF you are interested in seeing Ben off in style, please come out to one of our coming shows which can be found here:

or see our shows section.

This is not the end of Sleep the Season, just an obstacle for us to overcome.

See you guys soon

YOU'RE TO BLAME

I lit your face with a match to see if you were looking right at me
but it Burned out.
It's darker now than it was before and holding hands is sucha bore.
I want you to want me to want your body.
I want your body.

Gave a piece of myself for you,
for all the things that I put you through and I'm sorry.
A pretty girl should never cry.
I ripped the tears right from your eyes
and it got me to get ya to get me going.
You got me going.

I have you to blame, I'll never be the same. I have you to blame.

Take me downtown, if yo've got it figured out.

INCREDIBLE, PREDICTABLE YOU

She's walking on water like some kind of Saint,
but she's the weakest of all, I can tell by her face.
Just a two dollar girl with a drink in her hand.
She's dying, I know it.
I've seen it again and again.

You're falling down,
I'd take you out but you're all ready there.
It's incredible how predictable that you are.

It's alright.

You're heart can't be broken if you tuck it away,
but you're falling apart, it gets worse by the day.
You're so sweet on the outside, but you're bitter within
There's no way you can end this if you dont know where to begin.

It's plain to see that you're into me
but I don't even care.
It's incredible how predictable that you are.

It's alright.

You're setting like the sun,
you really shine and then you're gone.
But why me? Who am I?
I couldn't save you if I tried.
Not tonight.

It's alright.

Furthermore....we will be hitting the old town of Hamilton tomorrow for some Steel City music. Playing at the Casbah Lounge...so come. We haven’t played Hamilton in oh so long.

Also, Ben has been regularly updating the Blog section of our site with videos and pictures of Justin doing dirty deeds in public restrooms....to find out why we are not going to be arrested for posting such a thing...please click BLOG.

STS has been busy demoing new songs with the help of The Anti-Q’s and their home studio. Look for more new songs to appear in live sets! We just finished playing a small leg of Ontario with our friends in Play Oliver, Michou and Casey Baker & The Buffalo Sinners. Thanks to all who came to those shows and made it a great time, we are very excited to come back soon. Spring is here and more shows will continue to be booked so watch out! Go read the new blog on our website! Peace.
