Chock ma was formed in the summer of 2004.
Their emergence was found in grassroots childhood under the concrete forests of Hong Kong where prosperity is blinding the city's eyes with vanity,
where the people of the land is confused and lost their ways in emptiness.
Everyone is looking for their real selves. From the beginning of Nu-Metal influence,
the band continued to be inspired through a different variety of music.
The changing of members and the recruit of new guitarist has formed the Chock Ma of today.
Although there were consistent changes in the band, their attitude towards music have always been the same,
believing that music is a way of true, natural, direct and real expression from deep inside of their hearts.

Chock – in Chinese, it refers to body following the rhythms of the music as in a way to enjoy music

Ma – in Chinese, it refers to origin, natural, no unnecessary tricks added, it also refers to sparrow, meaning grassroots and common

The band released their debut EP in 2007

During the MIDI festival period, the band played in "Beijing Nameless Highland " and "NEW GET LUCKY BAR"
