Happy St Patrick’s day folks! It’s Eamon here, writing from sunny New Mexico. We’re on tour in the states again and having a blast!
We started off in the beautiful state of Arizona where we played several great gigs and then took a few days off to explore. We crossed deserts, swam rivers, fed the deer, wrestled with snakes and even managed a flying visit (in a helicopter) to the Grand Canyon... a mighty big hole indeed!
Then we performed in Dallas Texas “Y’all” at the North Texas Irish festival. Liadan, Four Men and a Dog, and the Slide crew were all there to help us party well into the early hours... great craic, except it resulted in all the beogas sleeping through alarm calls and we nearly missed our onward flight. Big thanks to Betsy and all the gang in Texas for the superb hospitality.
We finish up our tour here in New Mexico doing a bunch of double-header shows with our good friends, the mighty and slightly insane Grada. I have a feeling that there may be some very dodgy YouTube footage documenting the extravaganza!
Thanks to all who made our February tour in England very enjoyable. The gigs were great and the crowds were full of lovely English people, cheers for coming out. Next up are the Irish gigs in April, Spain for Easter weekend and a return visit to Texas for the Houston International Festival.
So that’s all the news for now. We’re very excited because ‘The Incident’ has been getting excellent reviews so far, and today there is an article about the band in the Wall Street Journal (17th March) ...very exciting indeed so a big thanks to the people who make it happen.
See you soon!
Eamon

Hi folks,
We were lucky to get the chance to play at this years BBC Proms in the park in Carrickfergus which took place on Saturday night. We performed 'Mischief' and 'Mickey the Pipes' with our new 65 piece band- The Ulster Orchestra! We had a grand old night and it was a great feeling having an orchestra playing arrangements set to our stuff. They BBC aired Mischief across the U.K on the night so some of you may have caught it. If not both will be aired later in the year....we'll keep you posted.
Thanks to Declan McGovern for making the gig happen. Steven Barnett for the arrangements, Richard for the drumming and last but definately not least to Dearbhla 'dervs' Lennon for the dancing. She's not quite as good as me yet, but by God she gets 10/10 for effort.
Talk soon,
Eamon.

Our winner is Nikki ( http://www.myspace.com/hollywoodsnoopy)! She gave the following as a reason for a free Cd-
'I was walking along the beautiful Irish Fest this evening with my mother Jane when I heard a glorious noise. It was he sound of your band. We walked over to get a closer look. We sat through some songs and were clapping away, when Niamh told the audience they should get up and dance. I stood up on the bench I had been sitting on (I was way in the back where you probably didn't see me) and started to move and groove, when suddenly I lost my balance and landed smack dab on my ass. I was quickly, and quietly rushed to the local hospital where a doctor had to tell me I shattered my tail bone. I told him to let me go because I needed to get back and hear more of your wonderful music. He said he'd let me go on one condition. He'd have to put my ass in a cast.'
Maybe a lie but we loved it! Thanks to all of you who messaged us. See ya soon.
Eamon.
