Cheers to everyone who came to our shows in the last couple of months. We really appreciate the support.

My voice has been a bit fucked recently so you might have noticed the weirdo by my side helping me out.. His name is Anton and please don't be scared of him, he has a mild condition of yeahmanatites but at the same time it is advisable to keep your distance! ( at least from arms reach anyways ).

Cheers to everyone involved in antipop records as they've ( we've ) worked so hard to promote these gigs. It was great to meet all the local bands aswell. Thats one of the best things about touring!!

Tony T a.k.a Jaws ( the hot little sexy drummist of the dead class ) broke a few teeth and ribs after attempting a mega karate kick after our final gig in Liverpool. He was rushed to hospital and had to be kept in for a night. The foolish drummer told reporters that he had always admired the skills of Chuck Norris and all he was only trying to perfect that roundhouse kick! He's got a few new teeth now and I personally think they look better than the original ones.

And finally a big thanks to The Drellas for being such good company for that couple of weeks in October. Fuckin love yee nutters!

Yeahman!

This months Big Cheese Magazine has a great little review of the joint release with The Drellas.
The Drellas / The Dead Class - SplitAntipop5 Stars ( its not actually a split, Us and the Drellas are releasing a double a side each on the same day and on the same label,  they got that mixed up..so maybe we got 2 and a half stars each??..Ha ! )

Marrying Blondie to Bis and the Banshees, [the] Drellas come on like the killers of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, all angular, dancetastic anthems in the making, offering up two slices of abrasive pop on this split, including the cracking 'Violence is Art'. On the flipside The Dead Class drop two prime cuts of scuzzy punk that could well strip the enamel from your teeth with 'Age of Paranoia' and 'Pulse & A Heartache', part PIL and part Killing Joke. Current mood:  envious

Putting his toned up figure on display in Liverpool, Tony, 25 shows off three costumes in one weekend!! The 5 ft 9in drummer showed off his 2 sick monkeys t-shirt on Friday night at the glitzy celebrity packed party in The Albert, Lark Lane. Tony rumoured to be engaged to his dentist smiled for the cameras as he ordered a staggering 100 pints of lager and 4 poppadoms.

Looking a bit worse for wear the following day, the remarkable drummist was seen by onlookers wearing a 3cr tshirt and army combats as he paraded through the town with bandmates Villy , 14 and Jake, 10. Keith from 3cr blasted this fashion atrocity by saying " eh up chief, ever since Tony joined the dead class he's been copying my style, obviously taking pointers on how a shit hot drummer should look". Keith, 22 is usually spotted wearing army keks and his own band t-shirt.

On Sunday the wild stallion stepped out into the public wearing a Lurkers t-shirt and customised imported brown hoodie straight out of Compton, causing a fatal road accident on Berry Street. The driver of the ford focus told merseyside police he couldn't take his eyes off the man who was wearing the lurkers t-shirt. After watching cctv footage of the accident police decided to drop all charges of dangerous driving as they too were mesmerised by the chart topping superstar!

Insiders say that Tony is considering botox and more liposuction on his break after finishing their new album. But looking this good, he shouldn't bother!!

Hi everyone ( or anyone? ) just letting you know that we'll be back on the road again in October along with our good mates The Drellas. It should be a wicked tour. If you can afford the couple of quid to come see us it would be cool, you wont be disappointed. I'll even give a money back guarantee if ye are disappointed with the show so now ya might as well come out and try to prove me wrong. Check the dates on our page. See ya there!!

We are going into Highfield Studios August 17th for a couple of weeks to record our 3rd album. We've been rehearsing some crazy new shit which we are well excited about. You'll hear a lot of it at our shows in October!

We've also done some cool shows recently which have been a lot of fun. Obviously the highlight for me was supporting my favourite band in the world NOMEANSNO in Germany. Fuckin c'mon, if ya dont know them then check out www.myspace.com/myspaceiswrong

Apart from all that the dead class are well and happy. Tony is up getting smashed at Rebellion Fest in Blackpool this weekend. Jake learned how to love another human being and I beat up a dwarf last week.

The Dead Class will be supporting The Pogues on Wednesday 15th July at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
In the Eighties, The Pogues became one of Ireland's biggest bands, as well as one of the world's most radical, combining the instrumentation and tunes of traditional Irish music with the energy and attitude of punk rock spirit. Led by the charismatic singer, Shane Macgowen, who’s  darkly romantic, wasted lifestyle, was so key to their spirit and success.
tickets are available at the link from here:

Hey just want to say thanks to everyone who helped out with the German/ Belgium tour and all the wonderful people we've meet in the last fortnight.

I was going to write an account of some of the madness we encountered in these foreign lands but I'm a lazy bastard who types with one finger so I can't be arsed..basically there was lots of booze ( as the name of the tour was English punk vs German beer ) , lack of sleep, really cool gigs and an apperiative audiance every night.

We had such a laugh with our tour buddies Flat Back Four whos tunes are in my head now every day and even as I type this. Top lads!

Cheers to Mike for organising the tour and being a good sport throughout the few days, Simon for driving over 2000 miles, Oz for being Oz, All the lovely people in Beilefeld, Sle vek and his spiders! The good people of Ochtrup,  Madness ( yes this fellas real name is Madness, he changed it a few years ago ) Everyone at Destille in Nordhausen, Wild at heart in Berlin, Drucklucft in Oberhausen and Vort n Vis in Ypres, Belgium.

We are going back to Beilefeld on July 24th to play with nomeansno who are my favourite band in the world so I'm well excited about that.

Hey everyone, we'll be playing Monochrome, Sir Thomas Street ( beside Met quarter )on Wednesday May 20th as part of the Anti-pop launch party. Anti pop is a new Liverpool based alt/punk record label with an aim to wipe out all the stupid indie jangly guitar bullshit bands around. ( ha! ya can only hope)  We'll be playing alongside The Drellas, The Fraktures and Metro Manilla Aide. All four bands and friends have been working on this for the last few weeks making sure it will be a top night. Doors at 7.30. £3 entry and Its a plus 14's gig but any +18's will get free entry into Surgery afterwards. We were hoping to release our new 7 inch single then but it looks like it will be sometime in the summer now. Its gonna be a mad night though so BE THERE.

In other news we've got a German tour starting June 6th alongside Flat Back Four. Our mates Head Clinic had to drop out so they offered us their place instead. Cheers guys! Also looking forward to our gig in Bridlington May 15th with Flat Back Four and Nork Torsion.

As I'm typing this I'm tuned into rascal radio. Ya should check it out. Its my mates radio station so I'm plugging it but it really is ace!! www.rascalradio.net

Whats that up my arse batman?
Well thats just a joke I heard the other day and I thought it would be a nice introduction to this blog.  I came online to tell  ye all whats been happening with us the last couple of weeks.
We played 4 gigs this week from Thursday til Sunday ( Hull, Kings Lynn, Ipswich, Ashton)with some cool other band such as  3cr, Head Clinic, Stuntface, Nork torsion , Faintest Idea, I.C.H and The Fanny Pads. Cheers to everyone who came down to the gigs, we had a laugh. Also a big thanks to Stu, Sally and Faintest Idea who put us up in their gafs when we were in need of a sleep.  Nice one! The gig in The Station, Ashton was nuts yesterday as papers, beer mats, chocolate, peppers, brochures etc were flung at every band, so much that ya couldn't see yer pedals or leads beneath all the rubble, it was messy as fuck. Poor Landlords had 3 binbags full of shit when I was leaving but they were laughing thier heads off, fair play.
We've also been rehearsing loads of new songs which we are well excited about and we will be releasing a double A side 7 inch single in May. Pulse And A Heartache/ Age Of Paranoia. We'll tell you more about that really soon.
Any body know any good jokes?
