Hot on the heels of HU3, the 4th installment in our compilation series hits stores on Monday. 'Hardcore Underground 4' features 4 CD's, 8 DJ's and 92 upfront Hardcore cuts, showcasing just about every twist and shade of our beloved music. We won't harp on about it here, everything you need to know you can read up on the minisite. What I can say is that over half of all the copies manufactured have already been sold via presale through HMV / Play and Amazon, so don't leave it too long before you pick up a copy of one of the best albums in a long long time.

Ok so 'merchandising' is never really gonna be our thing, but t-shirts are alright surely? especially if they're black and have badass metallic print on them. So we ordered some, and now you can buy them from us at a decent price via our paypal buttons. Yay for paypal buttons, they were great fun to make! I think it's probably the most fun I've ever had.

Anyway, they're available only in black, only with metallic silver print, but for both men and women in a variety of sizes. Go and check them out at:

Also, don't forget HU003 is out on 12" single right now* having been released on Monday. Go bye it frm da rekkord shopz innit.

Entity & Darwin - Moving Over / Your Own Destiny

*Digital release will follow in 3-4 weeks, initially available as before via the CLSM store.

Prepare for more raucous activity as Brisk & Fracus unload more Hardcore bombs on unprotected ears with the 7th episode of the Next Generation podcast. Recent Raverbaby signing, Al Storm, stops by with a slammin' guest mix highlighting his latest studio work and the Randomizer 5000 interview software also makes it debut.

Hardcore Underground proudly welcomes Radio 1's very own Kutski to HU4, as well as Freeform masters Oli G & Lost Soul. They will be joined by non-debutants over 4 CD's to form our most exciting compilation yet

Fracus & Darwin, Brisk & Marc Smith, Kutski & Al Storm, Oli G & Lost Soul.

As a series of names and pairings it already seems impressive, but more impressive is the care taken in balancing the various discs and facets within. As the tracklists take shape, even we are moderately awestruck.

Submissions have been of a far higher standard than previous volumes, and it's heartening to witness so many new and existing artists achieving or well on their way to form.

Submissions are still technically open, but it's very competitive and tracklists for all CDs will be finalised soon.

At the end of this process, hopefully we're all left with something to be proud of and to lead the way through the next decade.

Ok so there's a few 'wet paint' signs and masking tape on the walls, but the new HU website is almost entirely finished and we thought you might overlook the few neccessary additions and tweaks if it meant you could have digital releases and free tracks this weekend (there's plenty of them).

The MP3 releases will be available initially through the CLSM store and then some weeks later through other digital outlets. Those that are released on 12" vinyl will be available about a month afterwards in each case. We were going to bundle them together as A & B sides as MP3's too but we thought that might make you cross. As well as freebies there are also some HU digital only releases available.

So there's news on HU4, and some diddy artwork previews just to tease, digital releases, artist info and bla bla bla. It'd be quicker if you just went and looked ;)

Obviously we welcome direct feedback on the site and the new material, but we're always interested in what people think of what we're doing in a broader sense or indeed what we could/should/better not be doing. Don't be shy, we're used to blunt instruments.
