I am very happy to announce that my record "While She Was Working" is now available on Itunes!

And since it is an EP (extended play, meaaning longer than a single/shorter than an album) it's only like $5!

To me, this is a really special record. It is different than anything I've done before. I wrote and recorded it all in about 10 days and the songs not only came flying out, but in a voice i had never sung in before.
I was possessed! And I liked it!

Roll down the windows, drive into the sun and crank it up!

Iritations, imitations and the bumpy smooth road.

It's a magic show in the desert.

A hat trick with your soul instead of a rabbit.

Complete strangers.

New strings and dirty shirts.

Blurry trees runnning away.

Your home is waiting for you like the ugly duckling at the junior high dance waiting for the chance.

There's a spotlight in a truck somewhere and you're following it everwhere it goes.

Stillness of the body, while the wheels get all the exercise.

I imagine inviting a martian to a day in this life. They would wonder what these people were driving so far for and eating whatever is being served on the highway.
What could it be?
How many hours of this can one take?
Where are they going and why?
Who are these people?

And then they finally stop at some place where other people have also traveled to. It's some kind of peace offering or a meeting perhaps. Wait, these exhausted salted people have left the vehicle and are now up high. About 7 feet higher than those other people. They're higher but they're out numbered! Is it war? Is it a stand-off?
"1,2,3,4" shouts the one guy. Something beautiful is happening. Hips are swaying, eyes are softening and brightening. Those other people aren't going to kill them at all. It looks like they're going to love them actually.

That must be what all of this is for.
These people are doing something they love doing while other people are watching and listening to something they love watching and listening to.

New 2008 Album!

A brand new CD entitled "While She Was Working" will be released in February 2008!

As some of you may or may not know, most of my time in the past year or so has been spent writing and recording with new artist Sharon Little.

Well she finally got a deal with CBS Records!

Knowing that the coming months will be spent recording and touring with Sharon, I snuck into my studio, Treble In Paradise, for some pop mischief/indulgence over the holidays and wrote/recorded 6 brand new Scot Sax songs in about 10 days.

Where they came from, I know not m'lady, but I do know this:
It was exhilarating (spellcheck, where are you?) making this record.

Here's how it went: Whatever/however it came out was the way it was gonna be.

Something came over me. I feel like I was someone else for those "sessions". I almost changed my name to Rodriguez.
Really.
Things got weird. My alter ego starting writing the songs without me. I guess I have to split the publishing. Oh well, what else is new? right?

The album will be available at cdbaby, itunes, my many websites and of course at shows in about 2 weeks!
