Does this image disturb you? It should. Today marks an anniversary, but not one anyone would want to celebrate: 5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY of BESLAN, RUSSIA SCHOOL MASSACRE by Muslim terroristsTaken from Bare Naked Islam's Blog: For
three days, more than 1200 children and adults were held hostage in a
sweltering gymnasium, denied food and water, and forced to keep their
hands over their heads. The harrowing siege ended on September 3 with a
series of explosions and a hail of gunfire that killed some 350 people
– half of them children. The grim details are rarely
exposed but the fact I want to make is this was orchestrated by MUSLIM
TERRORISTS. While not all Muslims are terrorist, why does it seem that
this religion is filled with them? They have no regard for human life,
even their own, and spare no one, not even innocent children. In this
instance, the children were raped, mutilated and tortured before dying.
Death was probably an intended blessing by their captors. THESE
are the very people that our president holds his hand out to in
friendship and apologizes for OUR misdeeds. Terror camps exist in our
own country, and I've blogged about their locations and the rapid
growth. Nothing is being done, and according to our new leader, we
should all reach out and atone to the Muslim sector for our belief that
they pose a threat. I can't find it in me to do it? Can you? If
you're proud to be a Muslim, then good for you, but how can you
possibly feel any sense of pride in all the horrible things that have
been done in the name of you religion? Watch and wonder with me. with me.

President Obama’s Address to Students Across America September 8, 2009! Is
it not enough that he's on television every week or conducting a town
hall meeting in the US... or making an appearance on foreign networks
while he apologizes to other countries on our behalf? Now he wants to
brainwash our children. This smacks of the gestapo. I've never
witnessed a more narcissistic personality in my life. I cannot
tell you how opposed I am to this plan. Religion is not allowed in the
schools... we've removed God from the Pledge, so why is it okay to
discuss politics? Should we be exposing our children to the viewpoints
of a president who has fallen from the favor of the voting public? A
great many youngsters have witnessed their parents painting signs for
tea parties and town hall meetings--signs that protest the very things
that are happening under this president's leadership. What gives him
the right to pump their heads with his propaganda without the
permission of the parents? I'm sure most kids have overheard
disgruntled people speaking about the outright atrocities being planned
and instrumented by the current administration. I say, politics have no
place in the classroom. If you agree, speak up! Here is the suggested
"itinerary" for this grand appearance by the Head Czar! PreK-6 Menu of Classroom Activities: President Obama’s Address to Students Across America Produced by Teaching Ambassador Fellows, U.S. Department of Education September 8, 2009 Before the Speech: Teachers
can build background knowledge about the President of the United States
and his speech by reading books about presidents and Barack Obama and
motivate students by asking the following questions: Who is the
President of the United States? What do you think it takes to be
President? To whom do you think the President is going to be speaking?
Why do you think he wants to speak to you? What do you think he will
say to you? Teachers can ask students to imagine being
the President delivering a speech to all of the students in the United
States. What would you tell students? What can students do to help in
our schools? Teachers can chart ideas about what they would say. Why
is it important that we listen to the President and other elected
officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the
governor? Why is what they say important? During the Speech: As
the President speaks, teachers can ask students to write down key ideas
or phrases that are important or personally meaningful. Students could
use a note-taking graphic organizer such as a Cluster Web, or students
could record their thoughts on sticky notes. Younger children can draw
pictures and write as appropriate. As students listen to the speech,
they could think about the following: What is the President trying to
tell me? What is the President asking me to do? What new ideas and
actions is the President challenging me to think about? Students
can record important parts of the speech where the President is asking
them to do something. Students might think about: What specific job is
he asking me to do? Is he asking anything of anyone else? Teachers?
Principals? Parents? The American people? Students can record
any questions they have while he is speaking and then discuss them
after the speech. Younger children may need to dictate their questions.
After the Speech: Teachers
could ask students to share the ideas they recorded, exchange sticky
notes or stick notes on a butcher paper poster in the classroom to
discuss main ideas from the speech, i.e. citizenship, personal
responsibility, civic duty. Students could discuss their
responses to the following questions: What do you think the President
wants us to do? Does the speech make you want to do anything? Are we
able to do what President Obama is asking of us? What would you like to
tell the President? Teachers could encourage students to participate in the Department of Education’s “I Am What I Learn” video contest. On September 8 the Department will invite K-12 students to submit video
no longer than 2 min, explaining why education is important and how
their education will help them achieve their dreams. Teachers are
welcome to incorporate the same or a similar video project into an
assignment. More details will be released via www.ed.gov. Extension of the Speech: Teachers can extend learning by having students: Create
posters of their goals. Posters could be formatted in quadrants or
puzzle pieces or trails marked with the labels: personal, academic,
community, country. Each area could be labeled with three steps for
achieving goals in those areas. It might make sense to focus on
personal and academic so community and country goals come more readily.
Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the
president. These would be collected and redistributed at an appropriate
later date by the teacher to make students accountable to their goals. Write goals on colored index cards or precut designs to post around the classroom. Interview and share about their goals with one another to create a supportive community. Participate in School wide incentive programs or contests for students who achieve their goals. Write about their goals in a variety of genres, i.e. poems, songs, personal essays. Create artistic projects based on the themes of their goals. Graph student progress toward goals. My final comment: With regard to this question: Why
is it important that we listen to the President and other elected
officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the
governor? Why is what they say important? I wonder if it
shouldn't be altered to say, Why is it important for the president and
congress to listen to the people who elected them--solicit their
opinions before acting in haste. Shouldn't those who take an oath to
act in the best interest of their constituents honor it? Just
because someone becomes an elected official, that doesn't mean they are
above reproach. Count the number of tax cheats in Washington, and ask
what happened as a consequence of their bad behavior. I don't think I
want my grandchildren learning from politicians who have assumed
careers rather than "serving a term,"...people who pad their pockets
with special interest money that influences their votes. I'm one of
those people that believe our only salvation lies in cleaning out the
dead wood and starting over fresh. Since Obama is losing ground in the
popularity polls, he's turning to our children. Is there nothing he
won't do?

Title: Tender Return Author: Ginger Simpson Publisher: Red Rose Publishing Buy Tender Return Here!Rating: You Need to Read Reviewed by: Val For
reasons unknown to Meagan Murphy, her father won’t allow her to date
anyone in uniform. Through her volunteer efforts at the USO, she meets
Ryan Cullen and throws caution to the wind.
Ryan only has a
short time before his unit is shipped overseas, and they have to make
the most of the time they have left together. Ryan deploys, but not
before he puts a ring on her finger and asks her to wait.
Will
he return and win her hand from her father, or are all those newscasts
on the nightly radio about casualties in Ryan’s unit warning her to
prepare herself for the worst?Tender Return is a
short but enticing read that addresses a subject that a lot of military
families are going through today. Meaghan has found herself in love
with Ryan only to have to let him go as he is to be deployed at any
moment. She can't know when or to where. On top of missing Ryan, she
struggles to deal with the fact that she has to hide her romance from
her parents. Her father has strictly forbidden his daughters to date
any USO servicemen for reasons unbeknownst to her. Fear is her constant
companion these days and she can't help but worry for Ryan. With all
the reports of casualties over the radio, Meaghan holds out hope that
they will be reunited once again. These are all such real emotions that
spouses of those deployed have to deal with everyday. I thought it was
refreshing that Ms. Simpson gave us both points of view in this story
by showing the reader just how much fear Ryan has for what must be
done. The one thing helping him to make it through is knowing that
Meaghan is waiting for him. I found Tender Return to be a sweet
yet spicy read that tugged at my heartstrings and allowed me to see
through the eyes of a woman waiting for her lover to come home. Ms.
Simpson has written a touching love story with a deep and powerful
setting that I believe a lot of readers will be able to relate to. I
felt like I wanted to know the characters in more depth and I would
love to see this book made into a full length novel. Tender Return has
a message that needs to be told and I am pleased to say that today is
the day this message is told. If you are looking for a quick read with
filled with meaning and emotion as well as a sensual romance, then look
no further, Tender Return is a book you don't want to miss.

Title: Sparta Rose Author: Ginger Simpson Publisher: Eternal Press Buy Sparta Rose Here!Rating: You Want to Read Reviewer: Tiffany Kleinhans Roselle
can't quite live up to her flowery name and prefers to be called Ellie.
Her plans of one day running her father's ranch are threatened by a
handsome foreman, the dastardly family on the adjoining land; And more
surprisingly, her heart.
Foreman, Tyler Bishop, can't make heads
or tails out of Ellie Fountain. One minute she's a childish tomboy and
the next, copper curls and curves. One thing he's determined to do, and
that's keep her safe. He's not sure if he's doing it because she's the
boss's daughter or because her feistiness attracts him in ways he
doesn't want to admit.Romance and suspense emerge in Sparta Rose.
This
is a decent historical romance set in Tennessee around the time of the
Civil War. Complete with a bit of a love-hate relationship between the
two main characters, some detestable characters, evil plotting, and
emotional turmoil, I actually thought it was a pretty good book. The
primary main character, Roselle Fountain, is a woman living very much
in what is considered to be a man’s world, and trying to play an active
part in it. While it may have been considered acceptable when she was a
young girl to lend a hand with the men on her father’s ranch, now that
she’s becoming an adult, it’s considered to be completely
inappropriate. With a father pressuring her to act like the young lady
she is, and the ranch foreman treating her like a child, Roselle just
wants to be allowed to be herself. Meanwhile, Tyler Bishop, the
ranch foreman, harbors a secret love for his boss’s daughter. But, does
he dare to express his feelings for the daughter of the man he respects
more than any other? And, when Roselle’s stubbornness lands her in more
trouble than she can handle, can Tyler save her, before it’s too late? If
you enjoy historical romance set in America during the Civil War era,
then this book is a good reading choice. It rates a solid ‘You Want to
Read’.

Harrison is a woman who lost her husband three years earlier and is a
Medical transcriber at home. While transcribing charts, she realizes
that she needs to schedule herself for a routine medical appointment.
She hasn't had urge to look at another man since her husbands death.
That is, until she meets one of the sexiest men she has ever met, Dr.
Jerrod Carlson.
As Jerrod and Hope get to know each other
better, they find themselves unable to stay away from each other, they
are together every possible moment until something unexpected happens
to hamper their relationship. Will this love survive?
From
the start, the characters and subject matter had me hooked. I was
captivated by Hope. She was mature and unsure of herself. Very
beautiful, funny and finding herself acting like a teenager, I found
her personality endearing and comical. Dr. Jerrod Carlson *sigh* ....
do they come any hotter than him? He was professional and just to put
it out there, he was just downright sexy. He knew what he wanted when
he met Hope and still, there was a part of him that was afraid of being
rejected. I found the relationship between Hope and Jerrod to be
emotional, warm, stressful at times and definitely sizzling! Now, on to
the plot. Hope Springs Eternal is a fast paced read that has a gripping
plot which touched an emotional chord with me. I won't go further than
to tell you that you MUST read this book. I will not give away any of
the story but will tell you that you will be surprised at what happens
throughout the story. The twists and turns really got me and I just
couldn't put the book down. I have read several books by Ms.
Simpson and I must say, each and every book I've read has piqued my
interest. Hope Springs Eternal has become one of my favorites for all
the situations it addresses in just a short amount of time. Ms.
Simpson's well developed writing style makes her books very relatable
and easy to fall in love with. I highly recommend you pick up Hope

Blurb: Can
a pioneer wife lost in modern day Colorado find her way back to her own
era , or will the sassy female attorney who's taken her place in time
seduce the woman's handsome cowboy husband?
Review:
This
story really opened my eyes as to how far we have come through
technology since 1872! Two women, from two totally different eras
somehow change bodies, and each finds themselves in the other woman's
body. Mariah (the woman from 1872) is a very proper lady. She doesn't
cuss, wear anything she deems as inappropriate and when it comes to
anything sexual she feels it is improper to make the first move. Taylor
on the other hand (the woman from 2002) is quite the opposite. She's
headstrong, independent, has a strong sexual appetite and cusses like a
sailor. When they wake up and find that neither one is who they think
they are and their husbands certainly aren't who they think THEY are,
the fun begins. How on earth do you get used to two very different time
periods? And their husbands (who are both gorgeous by the way), have to
deal with how frustrating it is to look at the woman you married who
looks the same, smells the same but whose actions are completely
opposite of how they usually behaved. My favorite character was Taylor.
She is thrown back in time with none of the conveniences of modern day
and she has a temper. Some of the things she said and did were
hilarious.
Sisters
in Time was an exciting, funny, eye opening read that just made me feel
good. Ms. Simpson did an outstanding job with the vivid imagery and the
engaging plot line was like nothing I have read before. I found Sisters
in time to be a lighthearted, lively and fun read with great characters
who are likable and engaging with sharp dialogue. Ms. Simpson has
produced yet another winner with her new book Sisters in Time and I
look forward to reading more of her work. Her books keep getting better
and better and she will always remain an automatic add to my to be read
list. I strongly recommend you pick up Sisters in Time, you don't want
to miss this one.

Sarah Collins set her sights on California for a new beginning, she

the black prairie nights and eerie noises, just when she believes she’s
faced the worst, a rattlesnake bite threatens to accomplish what the
Indians failed. Is it her time to die, or does Sarah have a purpose yet
to accomplish? The 1850 Santa Fe Trail was described vividly by
Ms. Simpson. I could truly envision the vultures circling, the stench
of rotting bodies and the shocking appearance of people who had been
scalped. As I read through page after page of this captivating story, I
found myself torn between what the brain and what the heart said. As
the characters work their way through their lives, the choices they had
to make were prudent but heartbreaking nonetheless. The icing on the
cake was the ending, and it could not have been more poignant if she
tried. I was left breathless upon reading the final paragraph. This is
an amazing book by a truly gifted author.

I can't believe how long I've waited for some good news. This has been an incredible day. First an email invitation from Tara Banks to be on America's Top Model, and then another from Oprahto appear as a special guest, representing all e-book authors and filling the first slot on her favorite book list. You must imagine I'm bouncing off the walls. Surely I'll be able to land an agent now. Is there no end to my delerium? The phone rang just a few moments ago and I was notified I've won the Great American Sweepstakes. In a short time, I'll be receiving my million dollar check. What will I do first? I really won't need to spend any of it, since I'm entering The Amazing Race, one of my favorite TV shows. I'll be sprinting around the world and finally get to see something of interest, and on their dime. And, most shocking of all, President Obama sent word that he would appreciate me being the first person to receive and test one of the new fuel-efficient cars from GM. All for free. He also offered me a specially-created post on his cabinet because he's sure I'll be the first to pass the background check with ease. No skeletons in my closet. How funny that my invite from Tara followed an apologetic letter from The Biggest Loser, telling me that I'm far to svelte to be considered as a contestant on their show. And Nutri System turned me down to replace Marie Osmond as their spokesperson because I'm far too thin already. Just when I thought this day couldn't get any better, guess who called? OMG, While I was listening to Mel Gibson persuade me to have dinner with him, Tom Selleck beeped through and insisted he'll leave his wife if only I'll divorce my husband. Oh the insanity. Who to choose. My husband has been a faithful and devoted spouse...but I'd like to continue to share more of my wonderful news, but I must go and flip a coin...maybe two. Holy horse flies... Sam Elliott just phoned and threw his hat into the dating ring. I have to go read my horoscope then check to see how the stars and sun are aligned. Something is really weird today.

Why am I reminded of this? Every morning when I wake up with good ideas about writing, publishing, editing, etc, they are overshadowed by things that seem so much more important. Honestly, since I started watching Fox news and reading some of the affiliated blogs, I can't stop...and I'm scared. I fear President Obama has his hand in so many pots, he really isn't concentrating on our safety. How can he be, when the woman he appointed as the head of Homeland Security won't even allow the word 'terrorist' in her vocabulary. Janet Napolitano previously oversaw the glorious state of Arizona, where the greatest infiltration of aliens still takes place. She didn't want a wall guarding her borders. Michelle Malkin had this on her blog: http://www.michellemalkin.com While a few big firms, such as Wells Fargo and JP Morgan Chase, have curtailed their campaign giving, others are quietly doling out cash to select members of Congress, particularly those who serve on committees that oversee TARP. In recent filings with the Federal Election Commission, the political action committee for Bank of America (which got $15 billion in bailout money) sent out $24,500 in the first two months of 2009, including $1,500 to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and another $15,000 to members of the House and Senate banking panels. Citigroup ($25 billion) dished out $29,620, including $2,500 to House GOP Whip Eric Cantor, who also got $10,000 from UBS which, while not a TARP recipient, got $5 billion in bailout funds as an AIG “counterparty.” “This certainly appears to be a case of TARP funds being recycled into campaign contributions,” says Brett Kappell, a D.C. lawyer who tracks donations. (A spokesman for Cantor did not respond to requests for comment. A spokeswoman for Hoyer said it’s his “policy to accept legal contributions.”Is everyone corrupt in Washington? I'm still stewing over the billions given to Palestinians. Has the President forgotten we have homeless and needy people wandering the streets of this country, too? It pains me to admit that I used to be one of the 'uninformed' whose curiosity was piqued by the high numbers of homeless men until I discovered why. Under our current laws, they are not eligible for anything other than food stamps. Shelters are full, they have no access to homes, so I can imagine that bridges and overpasses might look pretty appealing when the temperatures dip into the teens. People complain about them pissing in the streets...where would you suggest they pee? I guess the old adage, "Walk a mile in my shoes,' takes on new meaning, but who among us would want to step into their worn and frayed boots? Yes...most appear to be Vets. Somehow that makes it even sadder in my book. Sadly, it seems President Obama is destined to destroy our alliance with the leaders of other countries. He threw Poland under the bus when he withdrew our support for their safety, he sent a letter to the Russian President that was construed in a cowardly light, and now after many years, they are rearming their nuclear weapons. When the English Prime Minister visited...after Obama returned the bust of Churchill which had been prominently displayed in the White house, our President treated him poorly then insulted him further with a set of DVDs that only formatted to play in North America. Now he's followed a video to Iran, also marking him as a coward and asking for peaceful surrender with a letter to the President of France in which Obama states he looks forward to future joint endeavors. He sent the letter to Jacques Chirac who hasn't been France's President for TWO YEARS! It should have gone to the current President, Nicolas Sarkozi. A recent criticism stated Obama used the word "crisis" twenty-five times in a speech, then complained that people are too negative about the economy. If none of this makes you worry, then you must have nerves of steel. If we keep our heads buried in the sand, pretty soon the remainder of our bodies will be buried there, too.

Posted from my blog on blogspot.com. There was some pretty heated debating about the time-frame, but that seems of little importance when the focus should be on the imminent danger. We're training terrorists right here in our country and our head of homeland security refuses to even recognize the word. Has political correctness superseded our common sense? Don't know about you, but I'd like to hang around a while longer.
I try to avoid doom and gloom, but this was something that needs to be shared.I planned to share my new book cover, but somehow this seemed a wee bit more important. We all live with our head in the sand when it comes to things like this, and it's time to straighten up and look around. Strangely, I considered Tennessee would always be a safe place. Apparently not, since according to Bare Naked Islam's Weblog where I got this picture, there is a training ground right in my backyard. Why is that? People training on our own soil to destroy us? Something is very wrong here. While I see by my 'poll' in the sidebar that humor is the leading draw to keep people coming back, I'm sorry, there is nothing remotely funny about this: "AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ BY EVERY AMERICAN! PLEASE PASS THIS ON." Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie "Munich" was based. He was Golda Meir's bodyguard; she appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games. In a lecture in New York City a few weeks ago, he shared information that EVERY American needs to know -- but that our government has not yet shared with us. He predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week. At the time, O'Reilly laughed and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted him back on the show. But, unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred. Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East ) to the Bush Administration about 9/11 a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant. Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months. Forget hijacking airplanes, because he says terrorists will NEVER try and hijack a plane again as they know the people onboard will never go down quietly again. Aviv believes our airport security is a joke -- that we have been reactionary rather than proactive in developing strategies that are truly effective. For example: 1) Our airport technology is outdated. We look for metal, and the new explosives are made of plastic. 2) He talked about how some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire. Because of that, now everyone has to take off their shoes. A group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives. Now we can't bring liquids on board. He says he's waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on his underwear; at which point, security will have us all traveling naked! Every strategy we have is 'reactionary.' 3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates. Aviv says that if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times on the front end of the airport when/where people are checking in. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink, and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. In Israel , security checks bags BEFORE people can even ENTER the airport. Aviv says the next terrorist attack here in America is imminent and will involve suicide bombers and non-suicide bombers in places where large groups of people congregate. (i. e., Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, big cities (NewYork, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) and that it will also include shopping malls, subways in rush hour, train stations, etc., as well as rural America this time (Wyoming, Montana, etc.). The attack will be characterized by simultaneous detonations around the country (terrorists like big impact), involving at least 5-8 cities, including rural areas. Aviv says terrorists won't need to use suicide bombers in many of the larger cities, because at places like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas , they can simply valet park a car loaded with explosives and walk away. Aviv says all of the above is well known in intelligence circles, but that our U. S. government does not want to 'alarm American citizens' with the facts. The world is quickly going to become 'a different place', and issues like 'global warming' and political correctness will become totally irrelevant. On an encouraging note, he says that Americans don't have to be concerned about being nuked. Aviv says the terrorists who want to destroy America will not use sophisticated weapons. They like to use suicide as a front-line approach. It's cheap, it's easy, it's effective; and they have an infinite abundance of young militants more than willing to 'meet their destiny'. He also says the next level of terrorists, over which America should be most concerned, will not be coming from abroad. But will be, instead, 'homegrown' -- having attended and been educated in our own schools and universities right here in the U. S. He says to look for 'students' who frequently travel back and forth to the Middle East . These young terrorists will be most dangerous because they will know our language and will fully understand the habits of Americans; but that we Americans won't know/understand a thing about them. Aviv says that, as a people, Americans are unaware and uneducated about the terroristic threats we will, inevitably, face. America still has only have a handful of Arabic and Farsi speaking people in our intelligence networks, and Aviv says it is critical that we change that fact SOON. If there is any "silver lining" to this prediction, it is the absence of massive nuclear or biological attacks. Bombings of the type Aviv predicts may have the effect of both awakening and enraging segments of the American population who have been blithely dismissing terrorism as an outdated concern. The jihadists' swaggering preference for houri-fixated young shaheeds may have unexpected results in this country, where increasing numbers of citizens are already "up in arms" over the Obama administrations policies. The cry that went up after 9/11 -- "Who are they? Why do they hate us?" -- can now be answered comprehensively and convincingly by those of us who have made the effort to learn. If you really want to be shocked, you should visit the sites from where this information came, but warning...especially on Bare Naked Islam, there are videos posted that show horrendous things that happen around the world. If you aren't squeamish, prepare to be appalled.
