Hey everyone,

It has been a great season so far with Ten out of Tenn and the recognition that Nashville is recieving. Well I am proud to let you know that I have released on itunes the EP I recorded with Ashley Monroe! We teamed up with the same band, producer (Paul Moak) and mixer (Reid Shippen) as Decade Fades. Ashley Monroe has been really busy lately working with the Racontuers, so I am honored to work with her. If you haven't had the pleasure of hearing Ashley's music, check it out now.

Hey friends,

Just to give you the latest news here in Nashville... I have recorded five of the twelve songs that I have co- written with Ashley Monroe. The recordings were tracked at the same studio (smoakstack) and with the same players as Decade Fades...so it has such a special feel to it. I am sure you have heard Ashley's music but if not go check her out now. She has a few of our (soon to be remixed) songs posted up today. I will keep you posted because we are setting up a few dates to play these songs live.
Also, I still have some Decade Fades viynl available and they are selling faster than expected so... buy it... or go to itunes and buy the cheaper version.
ok.
much love.

Hey folks,

The Tennessean’s, Tune In At Home, was kind enough to ask me to be a part of it....click the image below to watch the video....

Head to the rock channel here at TuneInMusicCity.com for the inaugural edition of what’ll be a regular feature here: Tune In at Home.

At its core, it’s a little foray into the lair of a Nashville musician, capped off with an intimate performance of a song live from their home base. It’s both a quick peek into their lives and a stripped representation of their talent.

We’ve kicked this off with exceptional Nashville pop songwriter Trent Dabbs, who’ll perform at 3rd & Lindsley Sunday night (April 6). Expect to hear songs from his new Decade Fades release -- which you can sample pieces of at www.myspace.com/trentdabbs -- at Sunday’s show. He performs one of Decade’s tracks, "Shine," for Tune in at Home.

If you’re planning to come to the show tonight, be there early to get tickets, they are saying it will sell out. Would hate for you to miss this show.

Cheers,
Trenton

Wax nostalgic
By Dave Paulson

Nashville singer-songwriter Trent Dabbs only started buying vinyl records about three years ago, but the reverence with which he speaks of the experience of "watching the needle drop" and taking an album in would make you think he's a longtime obsessive.

It has been quite some time my friends. I just wanted to let you know what is happening these days. I have in my hands a copy of the newly mixed record. It shall be mastered very soon and I want the world to hear it. This record has been a huge process for me and everyone involved. Here are a few steps toward how it was created.

1. Less songs / Better songs ( I picked 6 songs from 20 or so)
2. call up every talented soul around to be involved in everything from string arragements to ganjo playing ( and this is not even all of the nashville musical community!)
Will Sayles
Mat Kearney
Jeremy Lutito
-Matt Pearson -
Claire Indie -
Zach Casebolt -
Cason Cooley -
k.s. Rhoads -
Paul Moak -
Jason Morant -
Leigh Nash -
Tyler James -
Kate York -
3. Use producer Paul Moak at the smoakstack ( newly equipped with analog 2 inch)
4. have the record mixed by Reid Shippen
5. Try and pretend that I can wait to play it and tour!

All to say this record is far beyond my work and I think you will be able to hear that.
Keep posted on the release show and I will have a new single up shortly!
cheers,
Trent
