Shut Eye Records & Agency welcomes our ol' pal, Bayly Marret back to the world of Americana radio promotion. Bayly has an extensive background in radio as a promoter and account manager. In addition to managing accounts for radio promotions to Americana stations in North America, Bayly will manage EuroAmericana, Roots Music Report and FAR Chart accounts as well. We're so glad to have you back, Bayly. We missed you... how did we survive without you!?!?!?!

We love Sirius Satellite's Outlaw Country program, but we miss X Country (Ch 12) on XM... if you miss it too, click here: http://www.petitiononline.com/BBXM12/petition.html.

Just got ths from the Whipsaws... -PK

We are so fortunate to be a band from Alaska.  Our fans have supported us for years and now it seems that everyone is behind us.  The new year has kicked off with a bang and we released our new album '60 Watt Avenue' to 5 SOLD OUT shows in Anchorage, Wasilla, and Fairbanks.

2008 will be a big year for The Whipsaws.  On February 1 we will begin our first lower 48 tour in support of '60 Watt'.  We will be on the road for 45 days starting in Seattle, heading down to Los Angeles, over to Albequerque, up to Salt Lake and then off to Minneapolis, then down thru the midwest and meeting up with our good friend Tim Easton where we will be his backing band in Austin, Texas at the great SXSW!!!!!

We will be back in AK for 5 weeks and then will be on the road again for another 6 weeks in May and June.

July and August will find us touring hard in Alaska, and Leeroy Stagger and Tim Easton will be up again to for shows as well...

October and November will hopefully find us in Europe and then who knows...but I must say folks we feel your love and support and it's the most amazing feeling in the world to know that all the hard work and sacrifice is paying off...We are going to continue to work our asses off and we are proud to represent Alaska and our Alaskan fans wherever we go....

Stay tuned in for details and we will see you all in early April....

Much Love,
The Whipsaws

From the classic country-folk sounds of Mark Collie, to the Triple A Americana songs of Jayson Bales, to the alt.country rockin' romp of Hayshaker... 2007 was a significant year for Shut Eye Records & Agency at Americana radio. In 2008, we're doubling our efforts introduce you to even more great artists. Check out our upcoming projects...

Artist: Bean Pickers Union
Album: Potlatch
Label: self

Adds at US and EuroAmericana Radio: January 28, 2008
Radio Contact: Pete Knapp, 678-986-5110

Artist: Mark Huff
Album: Gravity
Label: Exodus
Release Date: available now
Adds at US and EuroAmericana Radio: February 4, 2008
Radio Contact: Pete Knapp, 678-986-5110
Pitch: Guitar-slingin' Las Vegas native Mark Huff calls on the spirits of the '70s and '80s in his new album Gravity which runs the gambit of Tom Petty, Big Star, The Stones, The Replacements... and Alison Moorer makes an appearance on backing vocals. Check out "Wrong or Right".

Look for albums by Heather Knox, Buick Audra, RG Stark and Roy Davis and the Dregs later on in February, March and April 2008. All are solid records, and we're so pleased to be the ones that get to bring you these great new releases!

If you are an artist or a label, and you are interested in getting a new release onto Americana radio in the US or EuroAmericana stations, simply give Pete Knapp a call at 678-986-5110 or e-mail knapp@shuteyerecords.com
