Hey everyone. Sadist Faction has been mentioned in the Oliver News Weekly. They wrote about us being a cult and whatnot, but i'll just let you read it for yourselves.
Unhappy With Sadist Faction
OliverNewsWeekly has an editorial policy (Yes. We do. Believe it or not.) to not belittle or harangue volunteers. But sometimes something has to be said. The Oliver Parks and Recreation Society’s Fall Activities brochure forces us to step outside our policy.
What is Parks & Rec thinking when they promote a dance for teenagers that includes a band named “Sadist Faction”? Has anyone checked on that band? Is it a sadist cult front? Are its lyrics so reprehensible that not even a freedom of speech advocate could stay silent about them? Or is the name just meant to be a pun. To be funny.
Maybe present day cultists can’t be imprisoned for their thoughts. Maybe they have the right to be singing filthy songs to kids. But the parents of those kids sure have the right to feel safe in thinking that any dance held by Oliver’s Parks & Rec in the local arena will not promote vicious human degradation.
i dont understand where they are coming up with this bullshit but we are not a cult who promtes vicious and human degradation. we are just some kids trying to stir something up in the music scene. i cannot believe they would harass us about our lyrics when they dont even know any lyric, much less title to our song. they should think about what they write before they go out and offend people because thats a great way to start a riot or a grudge.
