Fear Not......The Beetroot Kings Are Still Alive

Hi People

Just a quick message from EvnLi....

It has been awhile since The Beetroot Kings were out on the road but fear not, they are still very much with us.

The guys have been knuckling down and putting together what promises to be an unmatchable impressive album which you soon wont be able to hide from...nor would you want to.

Whilst the guys have locked themselves away in the studio we here at Evnli have set about on a campaign, as it were, to get The Beetroot Kings track 'The Band it Played On' into the Christmas 2009 charts. Whilst the band remain unsigned by a major this does not mean this is impossible. Therefore take a listen to the track at various download sites such as itunes, song cast..you know the rest. If you like it then buy it. With every download the guys move one step closer to that all important no.1 slot. Spread the word to your mum, sister, uncle, grandma, cat etc and get them to download this track!

Right time to go and throw TBKS some meaty morssels (well grass for grez) to keep them going and ensure the genious that is the TBK creativity continues.

BBC Radio Nottingham tonight....

Greetings!

               Following on from our very successful appearance at Mansfields party in the park, we have been invited to perform this evening for BBC radio Nottingham in the Nottingham market square as part of the "Nottingham Riviera" series of events.

Just a short set from us tonight, but we are all looking forward to another opportunity to play to a local crowd. We'll be kicking off around 1830.

Lets hope the weather is better than it was on saturday!

Party in the park.

Welcome to the first in an occasional and probably infrequent series of Beetroot blogs!

As i write this we are all still on a high following our extended set at Mansfields Party in the Park yesterday (01-08-2009).
It was great to play to a local crowd and i can speak on behalf of all the boys when i say that we really enjoyed ourselves.
Following the late pull out from Chesney Hawkes, the response from the crowd was brilliant - after standing in the lashing rain all day the reception you gave us was awesome.

Our set was;

People help the people (cherry ghost cover)

Only the lonliest of people
Changing times
Im not in London
f****n in the bushes/Empire (Oasis/Kasabian cover)
The Rabbit Hole
A Critical mass

Hats off to all the artists who extended their sets and collaborated to fill the bill and keep the event rolling.

Thanks to everyone that was there yesterday - we really do appreciate your support.

Special thanks to Damon Downs for his emergency re-stringing of Gary's guitar!
