Current mood: rockin
Hi SPB Friends, Gary has moved back to North Carolina but I’m still here carrying on and I’d love to hear what you’re up to. You can contact me through MySpace or better yet e-mail me at seattle.powerpop@gmail.com. If you’d like to send me a review copy of your latest album, e-mail me and I’ll send you my mailing address. Thanks, Andy Miracle Seattle Powerpop Blog

Readers of the blog may already know that my wife and I decided to move back to the South due to various family/personal issues. We listed our house on January 18th. Well, for all the doom and gloom in the media about the crappy housing market, we managed to get a contract signed and fully negotiated in exactly two weeks!
That's great news, generally speaking. But, it does mean I'll be making my exit from the Pacific Northwest sooner than I thought I might be! As it stands now, we plan to leave on March 5.
I'm going to be trying to get out to as many shows as I can between now and then. So, if you see me out and about, please do come say hello and goodbye.
SPB definitely will not be dying once I leave, as Mr. Andy Miracle is on board and blogging away. If there are others out there who would be interested in contributing, shoot me a note. I'm sure Andy would welcome the assistance in coverage, as well.

Category: Blogging
While it won't impact my ongoing blogging at SPB (which, given, has been pretty thin the last few weeks!), I wanted to make an announcement that I'm now an official blogger for KEXP! My weekly blog series is titled Rock n' Roll Pest Control, after the great Young Fresh Fellows song.
The series will appear each Friday as part of their NW Fridays. The first one is up now, and it features The Sonics, The Tripwires and a few words about Synchronicitylive.com. Thanks to KEXP for adding me to the choir. Hopefully it will help spread the SPB gospel.

To all bands,
Because I use myspace to help stay abreast of the bands that I would tend to write about on the Seattle Powerpop Blog, if you are from outside of the Pacific Northwest and/or are not in or around the genres I typically cover, I'm likely to deny your friend request.
I'm always happy to have individuals from other areas as myspace friends. But, if you're someone who uses bulletins to announce every sneeze, I'm likely to delete you, too. Sorry.
I'm not doing so to be a jerk. I'm just trying to limit the information that flows into me via bulletins and show invitations to those that I'll really cover.
Thanks,
Gary
