Biography

Michael Blakley is an Atlanta based musician playing rock music covering songs from the 1950’s through the 2000’s. He puts alot of thought into his song selection and picks many songs that people don’t normally get to hear when they see an acoustic act as well as playing several standards.

Michael’s roots are based in 70’s and 80’s rock and roll and with main influences being bands such as Boston, Journey, Styx, and others in that vein. He also loves to play the new wave 80’s with bands such as Cars,  Duran Duran and Squeeze. Michael has definitely been keeping up with the times though and plays many of the newer bands such as the Nickelback, Hinder and Train! In one of Michael’s shows you could very well hear Def Leppard, Beatles, Garth Brooks, Jimmy Buffet, Aerosmith, Frank Sinatra, Fuel, Everly Brothers, Bee Gees, Journey, James Taylor and 3 Doors Down all played in the same set! Michael’s skill as a vocalist enables a very wide variety of songs he can do. Michael has over 15 years of experience as a front man for several Atlanta area bands as well as playing acoustic live shows by himself and with duo’s.

Michael never takes himself too seriously; so don’t be surprised if there is alot of comic relief during the set. He tries very hard to put on an entertaining show as well as playing good music. He has something for everyone and will please any crowd.
