This article was forwarded to me. I will not comment...it speaks for itself. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why white America perhaps fears Michelle more than Barack. Excerpts from a 'Jack & Jill politics' newsletter: ...as hard as it is to accept a black president, it’s even harder to accept a black first lady. First Lady has always held a beloved sentimental mother/wife of the nation symbolism. Conservatives are not ready to have to look at this very BLACK woman with her degrees and her fierceness and see her as the epitome of the American mother/wife. This will be a first for white people. They do not want this black woman in the White House as their first lady. That New Yorker cartoon was [actually] about Michelle - she was its focal point…..look closely... she is the leader, the one starting the “revolution” they want you to imagine………… MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said, in the course of covering the Obama candidacy, 'He (Barack Obama) brings none of the ‘ bad stuff, you know?” By ‘Bad Stuff’, he meant the legacy of [whites] enslaving Africans in this country, keeping them as second-class citizens until 1965, a mere 11 years before this country celebrated its 200th anniversary. You know, ‘the original sin’ , or ‘ the birth defect’, as Condi Rice called it. Barack escapes this 'bad stuff' only because his mother was white and may have had ancestors involved in the slave trade; and also because Barack's father was not African American. He was full blooded African and therefore Barack had no ancestors enslaved by America - and so the white guilt factor is missing when they think of him. HOWEVER, NO SUCH LUCK WITH MICHELLE! Michelle Obama is a direct threat and lightening bolt against White Superiority. Because, she’s Black VISIBLY BLACK… But it's important to note, she does not, in any way, shape, or form, contour to the acceptable Black Pathologies that enable White Supremacy to sigh with relief. [welfare mother, fatherless child, druggie, etc.] Michelle was raised in a neighborhood . In a home. With TWO parents. No child revolving in and out of jail. Raised by a Black man who not only provided for his family, but did so, WITH A DISABILITY. Her mother had a working class job - secretary- but it was taken ONLY after she had seen her youngest child settle into HIGH SCHOOL. Michelle Obama’s poise, her confidence, her aura - that was created by that humble Black man, who by all accounts, adored her. He told her that she is worthy, and so, when you have that told to you by the first man who loves and protects you, you seek that validation of that in your choice of mate, you’ll settle for nothing less, and Michelle hasn’t. Michelle Obama, doesn’t fit any of the acceptable Black pathologies. And when you don’t fit the acceptable Black pathologies, then you must be destroyed. Michelle Obama has become the face of the Black America whose existence is routinely denied by this country. Think about it. In ONE generation, the face of this 'Invisible America ' has gone from living on the top floor of a bungalow, to the possibility of living in The White House. And yet, Michelle Obama, refuses to say ' I’m special”, in order to give white America its usual security blanket [that she is one of the exceptions rather than the rule], So what should be done? Beat her down into submission. Michelle Obama represents everything we black women want our daughters to be. When we stand up for her we stand up for ourselves. No other women in the world are more neglected and abused as African women period. Michelle looks like [ou r] daughters, her daughters look like us. We love the way Barack looks at her we adore the way he looks at his daughters. The Obamas represent the hope that we can be loved by our men and they will support us in whatever we do. Little African American girls need a vision and dream of what it is like to be loved by a man who looks just like them. Is America ready for a First Lady who looks like her? A regular black woman? Not a passable biracial curly haired girl that they call black, but a regular black woman from the south side of Chicago ? With dark skin? Is she going to be the face of The Woman on the largest pedestal in the country? A self-confessed 'loud-mouth” black woman? If the Obamas succeed, it turns white supremacy upside down. And not because a black man is in the Whi te House; but, because a black woman will be there who didn’t have to come in the back door to lie in bed with the president.

"I AIN'T SAYIN'.... I'M JUST SAYIN', DAMN!"-POKAFASE What IF Things were Switched Around? Think about it: Would the country's collective point of view be different? ..tr>| · What If John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review? · What If McCain had only married once, and Obama was a divorcee? · What If Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard? | · What If the Obamas had paraded five children across the stage, following the debate, including a three-month-old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter? · What If Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his college graduating class? · What If Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair while he was still married? · What If Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to pain killers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization? · What If Obama had been a member of the Keating Five? (The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.) · What If Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter? · What If Obama was the one who had military experience that included discipline problems and a record of crashing seven planes? · What If Obama was the one who was known to publicly display a serious anger management problem? · What If Michelle Obama's family had made their money from beer distribution?
· You could easily add to this list. IF these questions reflected a reality… IF the tables were turned, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are? · This is what racism does: It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative characteristics in another when there is a color difference. · And, think of this: the candidates' educational backgrounds: *Barack Obama: Columbia University - B. "POWER IS A HELL OF A DRUG" -Pokafase
THESE ARENT MY WORDS, BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO SHARE:
There was a time in the not-too-distant past when "black president" was synonymous with
"president of black America." That was the office to which Jesse Jackson appointed himself
in the 1970s, resigned to the fact that the actual presidency was out of reach. In 2003,
Chris Rock wrote and directed "Head of State," a film about the first black man to win the
presidency. (It was a comedy) And, in the ultimate concession, some African-Americans
have attempted to bestow the title of "black president" upon Bill Clinton, a white man.
In the wake of his strong showing in the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary,
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has already permanently changed the meaning of that term. It is
no longer an oxymoron or a quixotic in-joke. And this, perhaps more than anything else,
explains his tortured relationship with black civil rights leaders.
The most amazing thing about the 2008 presidential race is not that a black man is a bona fide contender, but the lukewarm response he has received from the luminaries whose sacrifices made this run possible. With the notable exception of Joseph Lowery, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference veteran who gave a stirring invocation at Obama's Atlanta campaign rally in June and subsequently endorsed him, Obama has been running without much support from many of the most recognizable black figures in the political landscape. That's because, positioned as he is between the black boomers and the hip-hop generation, Obama is indebted, but not beholden, to the civil rights gerontocracy. A successful Obama candidacy would simultaneously represent a huge leap forward for black America and the death knell for the reign of the civil rights-era leadership or at least the illusion of their influence.
The most recent example of the old guard's apparent aversion to Obama was Andrew Young's febrile YouTube ramblings about Bill Clinton being "every bit as black as Barack Obama" and his armchair speculation that Clinton had probably bedded more black women during his lifetime than the senator from Illinois as if racial identity could be transmitted like an STD. Last spring, Al Sharpton cautioned Obama "not to take the black vote for granted." Presumably he meant that the senator had not won over the supposed gatekeepers of the black electorate. Asked why he had not endorsed Obama, Sharpton replied that he would "not be cajoled or intimidated by any candidate." More recently Sharpton claimed on his radio show that the candidates' recent attention to civil rights was a product of pressure from him.
Although Jackson is not entirely unfamiliar with the kind of thing that's happening to Obama as Coretta Scott King endorsed Walter Mondale over him in 1984, he also got into the act. Jackson criticized Obama for not championing the "Jena Six" cause, the case of six young black men in Louisiana charged with beating a white classmate vigorously enough. After Obama's Iowa victory, Jackson demanded that the senator bolster "hope with substance."
Taken as a conglomerate, Jackson, Young, Sharpton and Georgia U.S. Rep. John Lewis represent a sort of civil rights old boy network, a black boy network, that has parlayed its dated activist credentials into cash and jobs. Jackson, a two-time presidential candidate, has become a CNN host; Young was mayor of Atlanta and sits on numerous corporate boards; and Lewis is essentially representative-for-life of the 5th District in Georgia. Sharpton is younger than the others but a peer in spirit.
To the extent that the term "leader" is applicable, these four men likely represent the interests of Democratic Party insiders more than those of the black community. Both Young and Lewis have endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton; Sharpton and Jackson have acted ambivalent, alternately mouthing niceties about Obama and criticizing his stances on black issues.
It may be that, because they doubt that he can actually win, the civil rights leaders are holding Obama at arm's length to build their houses on what looks to be the firmer ground. And there are certainly patronage benefits should Clinton win. She owes black politicos, starting with Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.), who first suggested that the party endorse her for a New York Senate seat. Rangel has also lined up behind Clinton. There is far more to politics, even racial politics, than skin color. Still, it is counterintuitive to think that Lewis, whose political career began when he was bludgeoned in Selma, Ala., fighting for black voting rights, is witnessing the rise of the first viable black presidential candidate and yet opts to support a white machine politician.
Part of this disconnect is a generational divide, one that is apparent in Jackson's own household. Following Jackson's criticism of Obama in the Chicago Sun-Times, his son, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., wrote a passionate defense of Obama's activist credentials.
As polls show increasing black support for Obama, Jackson, Sharpton and Young begin to look like a once-wealthy family that has lost its fortune but has to keep spending to maintain appearances. Obama's tepid early showing among blacks in the polls had more to do with name recognition and concerns about his viability as a candidate than with Jackson or Sharpton withholding their endorsement.
Ignoring Sharpton or Jackson is not the same thing as taking the black vote for granted. It is a reasonable calculation that neither of them can deliver many votes, and certainly not enough to offset the number of white votes that their approval could lose Obama. Jackson and Sharpton might be holding out for a better deal in exchange for their support, but with Oprah Winfrey and Chris Rock among Obama's list of supporters, they have little to bargain with.
If Obama makes a strong showing in the South Carolina primary, the first with a substantial number of black voters, it will become apparent that the old black network has begun bouncing checks. The irony is that for generations of black "firsts," the prerequisite for entering an institution was proving that you were just like the establishment that ran it. (Think of Jackie Robinson's approach to the major leagues, or the host of "articulate Negro" roles in Sidney Poitier's work.)
Obama has been vastly successful by doing just the opposite: masterfully positioning himself as an outsider. In the process, he's opened the door even wider for black outsiders. Too bad his predecessors refuse to help push him the rest of the way inside.

-----------------------------------------------------
Reply:
Dear Concerned Student:
Sorry,
I am not allowed in schools.
Sincerely,
God
----------------------------------------------------------
How did this get started?...
-----------------
Let's see, I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained She didn't want any prayer in our schools.
And we said, OK.
------------------
Then, someone said you better not: Read the Bible in school; the Bible that says "thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, And love your neighbors as yourself,"
And we said, OK...
-----------------
Dr. Benjamin Spock said We shouldn't spank our children When they misbehaved Because their little personalities Would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.
And we said, An expert should know what he's talking about So we won't spank them anymore..
------------------
Then someone said Teachers and principals better not Discipline our children when they misbehave. And the school administrators said No faculty member in this school Better touch a student when they misbehave Because we don't want any bad publicity, And we surely don't want to be sued.
And we accepted their reasoning...
------------------
Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, And they won't even have to tell their parents.
And we said, that's a grand idea.
------------------
Then some wise school board member said, Since boys will be boys And they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, So they can have all the fun they desire, And we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.
And we said, that's another great idea...
------------------
Then some of our top elected officials said It doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.
And we said, It doesn't matter what anybody, including the President, Does in private as long as we have jobs and the economy is good....
------------------
And someone else took that appreciation a step further And published pictures of nude children And then stepped further still by Making them available on the Internet.
And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech....
------------------
And the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and movies that promote Profanity, violence and illicit sex... And let's record music that encourages Rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes...
And we said, it's just entertainment And it has no adverse effect And nobody takes it seriously anyway, So go right ahead.
------------------
Now we're asking ourselves Why our children have no conscience, Why they don't know right from wrong, And why it doesn't bother them to Kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.
------------------
Undoubtedly, If we thought about it long and hard enough, We could figure it out. I'm sure it has a great deal to do with...
"WE REAP WHAT WE SOW"
------------------
Pass it on If you think it has merit! If not then just discard it... But if you discard this thought process, Then don't you dare sit back and complain about What bad shape this country is in!!
Why is it our children can not read a Bible in school, but can in Prison.

Current mood: annoyed
Okay....follow me closely....i'm gonna explain to you where my annoyance and overall digust for the state of hip hop stems from. (if you care, if not this would be your que.... to go directly to hell)
Music and sex, both universal languages (everybody understands ASS and a four count), both very similar in the fact that they are (when done correctly) supposed to be extremely pleasing to the senses.
Now with that said (stay with me), here's is the anecdote/analogy i offer to you in an attempt to help you understand my contempt:
One night, after spending the evening with a hands-down dime (you know dinner, clubbing, etc.), she and i had played ourselves out on the dating games and decided to engage in some intercourse.Well, this chick was a TEN. She had the face of an angel and the body of a goddess. I'm talking minty breathe, soft feet, great perm, the whole nine.
We get to getting it on, and begin with the foreplay. I'm secretly congratulating myself the whole time, feeling good about bagging baby girl and all. A few minutes pass and she's down to just her jeans and whatever's underneath (or lack thereof). Now its gotten considerably more passionate, which is the only explanation i can come up with for why i wasn't immediately moved to halt all further action.
All in one fluid movement, I pull her jeans off and position myself to....let's just say "seal the deal". Her instincts were right on point cause she lifted her pelvis up and cocked her legs wide open....
AND THAT'S WHEN IT GOT UGLY....
I could hardly believe my senses. Here was this lovely, dimepiece of a woman in all of her splendor....with the most offensive, repulsivly pungent, sweet and sour, rotten seafood smell coming from her innerds via the birth canal.
You still with me? Okay, good shit, here's where it comes together.
At that point i was SOOOOOO offended. It wasn't necessarily because of the smell itself, but because SHE HAD TO HAVE, AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER, SMELLED HERSELF!!!!!
Everybody has off days, that's with anything; but if you know you are not up to par, yet you continue on as though you are, you are disrespecting yourself as well as your craft....or ass....or...you know what i mean. YOU, AT THIS POINT ARE BEGGING TO HAVE YOUR FEELINGS HURT.
Now i'm not sure if it was the shock of the situation or just my plain ol' mean streak that came into play; But at that climatic moment, when that odiforous smack in the face prompted me too, i did what any self-respecting man would've done....i stoppped dead in my tracks and not-quite-politely asked her...
"HEY! YOU DON'T SMELL THAT!?, I KNOW YOU SMELL THAT!"
The more i pondered the question i asked of her, the more annoyed i became. The audacity was just too much for me. Needless to say she just sat there with that same horrified look that you wack-ass, half-a-man emcees have on your face when you realize that you flow is bad pussy, you smell me!?
"HEY! YOU DON'T HEAR THAT!?, I KNOW YOU HEAR THAT!"
Its not a crime to be bad at what you attempt to do; It is however extremely disrespectful to those who have taken the time to master the craft (as well as those who listen and appreciate the art) to be bad at it and pretend like you don't hear that terrible shit you have the nerve to put on track.
You've GOTTA be able to tell the difference; When you put in an Outkast or an Eminem album or even a Snoop Dogg album (he don't be saying shit, but he at least has that swag) and you're not even close, HANG IT UP!
Don't be the smelly cooch girl with the bomb-ass weave and the well-kept nails sitting there with that dumb-ass look on ya face; take the time to master the actual art FIRST, then wrap that good music in the good-looking package and call it a day.
If I offended you, i meant to. That means you're probably on your way to a studio right now to completely and utterly waste a good track and some poor engineer's time and energy.
