These are available to download right now - 320 kbs mp3 files with some nice art too in a zipped file.

Both of these releases come from St Petersberg, Russia - a town which is home to some of the most exciting producers in D&B at the moment.

Flame & Dephecta combine on "Living The Life" again - you may know these guys from their other projects 'Tenebra' and 'Despot' respectively.

San.Dra is a newcomer to the scene and at only 16, "Shaman" is her first release (as far as I'm aware?!) but surely not her last.

Hi all,

Good news for anyone who missed out on any Subtle Audio Vinyl or CD releases over the last few years!

The whole back-catalogue is now available at http://www.subtleaudiorecordings.com/shop and almost all the catalogue has been heavily reduced in price. We had completely run out of stock on the Equinox / Senses 12" (The Phantoms / All Over) but recently got a handful of copies back from the distributor - only 5 left !

The prices of the back-catalogue are proportional to the amount of stock we have left of each title. Due to over-pressing of certain releases by the pressing plant (and an over-estimation of demand in other cases!) some releases are very cheap now

for example :

Cloak & Dagger - "Time Travelling" / "Soul Sauce" €1.49
Sileni - "Pressing Buttons" / "Failspan" / "Bouncing Octagonal Fragments" €1.99
Fanu - "I Play It Cooler" / "Heavenless" / "Skyscraper Dreams" €2.99
dgoHn - "Elle" / "Rhythmic Movement Disorder" €2.99
Macc / Düffah / 0=0 - "So Far" 2x12" EP €5.99
Subtle Audio Vol I 2xCD €6.49

& there's more ...

We also felt that with the rate of Sterling & the Euro being much closer now than when we started out that there was room to reduce some of the more recent titles, as we now pay a bit less for manufacturing. Hence the latest vinyl release (Macc & dgoHn - "Some Shit Saaink" 2x12" is now down to €7.49!)

There's more good news on the Merchandise front !
We also have some of the first batch of Subtle Audio T-Shirt designs in stock again.

These shirts have been out of stock for nearly 2 years at our store, but we have limited quantities / colours back in now.

Black with white print
Red with white print
Red with grey print
Cedar with grey print
+ Chestnut Brown with cream print

also, we have limited quantities of the latest Subtle Audio T-Shirt designs left, now selling a reduced price too !

Hey all,

Glad to announce that the 4 track / 2x12" Vinyl version of the Macc & dgoHn album - "Some Shit Saaink" has arrived ! This is exclusive to the Subtle Audio Website until August 24th, when the vinyl will be on general release through ST Holdings.

As for the CD, we have agreed a licencing deal with a UK label and so that version will be delayed until Autumn.

Anyway - if you are interesting in getting the vinyl part now (4 weeks before the general release through ST Holdings) then head on over to the Subtle Audio Shop ! www.subtleaudiorecordings.com/shop

Macc & dgoHn - "Some Shit Saaink" (SUBTLE003EP)

1A. "Mustard Greens"
1AA. "Things Go Brown"
2A. "July 39th"
2AA. "Long Tall Sally"

Here's the direct link to the shop item + audio links

"Time to enter the insane, weird, drum-centric world of Macc & dgoHn as the Subtle Audio camp proudly delivers its first album long player by this pair of not altogether insane East Londoners.

Subtle Audio has been pushing Drum & Bass with a slighly different slant for over four years now and this album could well be presented as their mission statement, it sums up the distinctive sound of the label perfectly.

Macc & dgoHn favour a breakbeat driven style and they incorporate their beats into ever shifting cinematic arrangements brim full of attitude and experimentation. Individually, their sounds have travelled far beyond the Drum & Bass microcosm and their works have been aired by the likes of Zane Lowe and Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 1. Aphex Twin is also an admirer and his festival playlists have contained Macc or dgoHn on more than one occasion. Now they unleash a volley of material from their collaborative archive which is set to disarm critics who thought Drum & Bass had run out of rhythms, arrangements and silly album titles.

No fear on that, "Some Shit Saaink" is here !"

Thanks to everyone who has ordered so far and just to let you know,

the cost of the 2x12" is 12.50 Euro + 4.85 Euro for postage (to anywhere in the world). Total - 17.35 Euro.

thumbs up

The Irish Dance Music Awards are taking place at the Tivoli, Francis St, Dublin on Wednesday the 4th of February 2009.

This is the 2nd year that Slick-Dj Magazine have hosted the event and Subtle Audio are in the shake-up for the best Irish label category aswell as best Album release. Dj Code (of Subtle Audio) is also up for the best Irish Dj award.

Now, while we'd be the first to say that awards in music aren't important - we do think that electronic / dance music in Ireland needs alot more promotion and we certainly think Slick-Dj's efforts in this regard are to be applauded. The magazine has already helped to get the word out about the great music being made on these shores and the many great Dj's and labels that are pushing the sounds.

So, get down to the Tivoli and support the event, and, of course cast your vote (before the 2nd of February!) - click here if you want to register your votes : www.slick-dj.com/limesurvey
