Publikum hujer, da Heidi Mortenson starter andet nummer med "la, la, la…" fra Kylie Minogues "Can't Get You Out of My Head".

(Fem stjerner).

Current mood:  crunk

But the girl that totally blew my mind was Heidi Mortenson. She was in the electronica room, where she was preceded by two brothers making a droning noise while concentrating on their laptops, the visual highlight being when one picked up a beer and took a sip. A lot of artists in this genre have a stage presence that is practically autistic and I didn't hold out huge hopes for Heidi when she wandered out, frumpily dressed, and started sighing and muttering into an overloud microphone, but there was method in her apparent madness. She has various distortion, phasing and looping gadgets, and builds up tracks with her vocals and odd bits of instrumentation (a child's keyboard, a stripped down trumpet). She conjures up weirdly colourful avante garde dance tracks out of nothing, and delivered a mad but addictive version of Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'. Towards the end she even threw off her apparent shyness by delivering the most comically obscene rap about her sexual tastes. Fantastically entertaining and completely original, if Madonna really wants to start pushing popular music into new areas she should forget working with established American production talents like Timbaland and give this mad Dane a call.
