Hi gang!! (haha the closest we've got to a gang is Alex's fang)

We recorded at the legendry (not until we'd been there it wasn't) Maida Vale studios with a lovely guy called Guy who was like our big brother a while back in April. Huw Stephens - god bless his lambs wool socks (I assume they're lambs wool) played it out on his two separate shows last night.

If you follow the above link and then the "Listen to the Huw Stephens show" link  you can listen back to it and also hear Huw say the word 'mini' in a mooooost amusing manner - I nearly spat my tongue out!

Alternatively for you techno techno geeks with your MePod's you can download the Huw Stephen's Introducing... Podcast from itunes and then keep our session forever and ever for totally zilch $'s.

Thanks to Huw and everyone involved in letting us loose on the license payers recording studio. Mucho mucho lovvvvvvvves.

This could be your only chance EVER to find out what Jon and Al say the songs about

Hey,

We are back from tour and you can read our tour diary on Clash.com and see photos here.

We survived, have just about recovered and are playing the Lexington tomorrow night with William (who are launching their new album) and The Situationists. Buy their record here and read about the night here...

Afraid I am the dullest member of the band so this blog is rather prosaic. I have however learnt how to use the link function on myspace...

Hhheeeyyy...!!!

Its been a long time since we've used this thing but we thought its worth letting you know about our Huw Stephens session being aired Thursday May 7th on BBC Radio 1... the show starts at 10pm (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/huwstephens). We had fun times recording it and think it came out sounding pretty good considering how broken our equipment/minds is/are getting. Have a listen and let us know if it makes you weep/laugh or anything like that.

We've been busy of late - playing in Paris - touring with Dananana and Dutch Uncles - trying to decide if Alex is really a vampire or not - recording radio sessions (did you like the XFM session?), recording acoustic sessions next to a dumpster for The Fly (www.the-fly.co.uk) and generally waking up and doing things. All of which will appear in Tour Diary that Bananas Gorilla (Dan – he is addicted to bananas) has jotted down for us in his infamous poetic gorilla style shortly. Next weekend we're hopefully doing some recording with Rory - our own version of Phil Spector - for another release in the summer.

There’s a couple of gigs coming up in London too - this coming Friday (May 1st) we're supporting William at their launch night for their new EP "Slightly Delighted" at the Lexington (near Angel tube) at a White Light club night - party on!

Then on Saturday May 16th we're playing a free gig at Catch with Wonderswan - who I’ve never seen live before but having listened their recordings am very excited about seeing play live.

Love is on the house when you're lodging with the Falcon but don’t ask me for no sugar.

We didn't really know about this until after it had happened on Monday night, but thanks to an anonymous tip-off through the medium of intoxicating smoke signals we found out that bearded Kiwi and DJ – Zane Lowe (Radio 1) – is on board the FFS ship. Thanks to the kindness of strangers we came off top.

LISTEN TO THE SHOW

Another mole has just told me that we are also nominated for Song of the Week or Record of the Week (whatever it's called) of Shaun Keaveny's show on BBC 6 Music this week, if there's any way of voting for us I don't know, but please do if there is! His show is on daily at 7am-10am for anyone who gets up that early in the real world.

Thanks alot to anyone who texted in to Zane's show on Monday and said good things about our track - we'd like to know who you are – we'll send you a can of Becks... true dat.

Ho ho ho... blah blah blah

Hey everybody!

After a long stagnant old time we've finally posted up some new tracks in the myspace player. We hope you enjoy...

Here's what we've got:

'Hanging from your Christmas Tree' is a festive effort (ie a tale of obsessive behaviour and suicide) which forms part of Tough Love Records Xmas compilation Listen, the Snow is Failing.

From the end of this week you'll be able to download the full 6-track package featuring this song and others from www.toughloverecords.com – just click on the selector link on their main page and enter the code "Warm Hands Cold Heart" to get them all.

The track was recorded by the talented Brattwell who we has also recorded/produced our forthcoming mini album Furious Sons which is due for release sometime February/March next year. All the tracks are ready, it's just logistical stuff keeping us back at the moment.

A sneak preview of the mini-album for you in the form of two tracks: 'I dreamt that I dreamt that you loved me in my dreams', perhaps our most literally titled and sickeningly poppy song yet, and old favourite, 'Shy Times' which makes a comeback in glorious BrattwellSound.

'Connoisseur of Sunsets' was recorded by a good friend and sometimes live technician of ours, Neil Bowerman, AKA Gingerbread Latte, AKA the gay ghost, and was intended to form part of a single, which for various reasons never came to light this year. A bit of a shame as it could have been good. It would be easy to blame the amazing Irish pub next door to where we did the bulk of the recording but that wouldn't be right.

Finally, a rough demo of a song we've been playing live lately, 'Last Chance'. Not really a full band affair on this recording which is why it doesn't sound so real. Still - enjoy it in it's embryonic stages.

If you're still reading, and you want to see us play for free in a intimate drunk and sweaty context on Friday night at Rooz Studios, 2A Corsham Street, London N1 just email us your name. You've got to be on the guestlist to get in but damn it it'll be fun.

This is without doubt the most boring blog i've ever written, I shouldn't be allowed near a computer when sober.

HOLAHA!

Thanks for tuning into another episode of mispelling with the Falcon...
Lots and lots to tell you about but I will condense it into the following;

1. We played some amazingly fun gigs last month with the mothers of choas Dananananaykroyd (a real gobstopper of a band) and two nice people have decided to be the first to review us as we awkardly strum and skank our way around the stage.

Kingston gig (Surrey - not Jamaica)

White Heat gig

Some lovely voyueristic types recorded us in Kingston too and there will be a real pro video of us online soon!

2. If you come and see us play in December you win a free prize; you get to hear JRC's genius XXXmas song; "Hanging on The Christmas Tree" - which we are due to make a recording of before our gig with William tommorow night.

3. Not in Lewisham tommorow? - We're playing next Friday at our Studios (next to Old Street) at one of the world famous KRAK parties - it is free just send us a message and we'll put you on the list - booze and indoor smoking + HANGING ON THE CHRISTMAS TREE.

4. If anyone wants to get get us some Christmas gifts - we are in need of the following;
a. A manager
b. A booking agent
c. $1,000,000 in Maltese lire (i've got bad debts on the rock)
d. 3 cans of Becks and 1 can of Tyskie

Bottoms up!
