Jewel’s Catch One opened its doors in 1972, as the nation’s first black gay and lesbian disco, located at 4067 West Pico Blvd, in Los Angeles. Having evolved with the time, the venue now serves as both a high energy dance club and community center welcoming everyone.

Jewels Catch One holds its own, offering dancing and bar life considered urban and hip outside of the traditional dance scene. The weekend nights are set ablaze with a stage and large dance floor on the upper level. While, the lower level rocks with weekly theme parties. Multi-level, with two dance floors, and three bars, there’s plenty of room for each night to pull a wide swath of varied interest crowds through its legendary doors

This is the club where Madonna held her CD release/birthday party. Beaches starring Bette Midler, Keenen Ivory Wayans’s, I’m Gonna Get You Sucker, BAP (Black American Princess) starring Hallie Berry, Angela Basset in I Tina, and Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.  Cold Case, and numerous TV shows and videos have also been shot on the premises. The Catch has also played host to numerous famous celebrities, who have graced us with their presence.

Saturday’s Club 4067 is crackin’ strong with DJ RUSSELL upstairs
in the Catch One’s main ballroom., male and female go-go dancers, and potent drink specials.

Ms. Shirese’s  Karaoke, upstairs in the  Root’s Room maintains a pleasant experience for those wanting to sing, or simply enjoy a reprieve from the excitement of the Hip Hop, House crowd.

Downstairs in Jewel’s Room, DJ CHRIS JOHNSON provides slammin’ sets of ole skool, funk and soul, and deep back east house. Jewel’s Room also features open Internet Terminals and TIPS TASTY Q BBQ serving standard bar favorites. Early arrival, no later than 11PM , is strongly  suggested  for  Saturday  night  valet  parking.

Every Friday night, Franck H-Bomb and Rev. John presents the world-famous Das Bunker promotion, with its innovative, creative, cyberindustrial crowd stomping and body slamming to EBM, industrial, and power noise.  You will often be entertained by electrifying live guest performances, and other internationally recognized acts consuming the upper and lower levels.  Rev. John has no limits when it comes to church.

Every Monday night, MP3J Sark brings you Ground Control, appealing to a multifaceted subculture gettin’ it on to alternative karaoke, eclectic dance beats and much more. Located downstairs in Jewel’s Room, the Ground Control Command Center offers you rare music videos, live internet video streaming, and free internet terminals. Connie-Lynne organizes a rotating roster of eclectic chefs each week, and Von Schreeck hosts L.A.’s best alternative karaoke. It’s a great place to hang out and bond with an established set of loyal regulars. Ground Control is a must, because in space, no one can hear you sing.

Sunday Illusions: Two glamorous drag shows hosted by Sabrina Le’Blanc, one of the most beautiful transformations on stage from male to female. A glamorous wardrobe and a lot of talent make for one of the best female impressionists that ever hit the stage. In addition, Crystal Masters, Na’Tyana Star, Ariel Prodigy, Jasmine Masters, Carletta Couture, and special guests Lawanda Jackson and Leah Hauston join the all star cast.
