Lots of people are interested in drum circles, but don't understand exactly what they are. I also have a lot of interested people that feel that their skill level is not high enough to attend. You really can join in and have fun even if you only want to play with a shaker or tambourine - don't be shy. We have have all ages attend from 4 years to 80.
Check out the new videos on and see for yourself how laid back it is! For those not familiar with MySpace format, the videos are on the main page on the left when you exit this blog. The first video has coverage of the whole group, and gives you a great idea of what goes on here every second Friday. It's free, and we usually see new faces every session, come check it out! Remember you don't even need a drum, there's lots here to use.
There's also some great short vids of Trevor Clements ripping it up on his recycled drum kit.

We have drum lessons for kit and hand drumming, currently running Tuesday and Thursday nights. Our instructor is Scott Doyle, he is a 3rd year percussion major at UPEI, and has formal training in a broad array of percussion instruments.
Lessons are booked by the hour in 6 week blocks, or by the half hour for hand percussion in 6 week blocks (unless otherwise requested ).
Call 902-367-DRUM (3786) to book your lessons and get drumming!
You don't need drums to take the lessons, but we can rent you one if you'd like to try before diving in and buying.

For those of you in Charlottetown, we're having drum circles in the shop @ 7pm, every second Friday.
The address is 211 Euston, and these events are open to all ages ( and it's free! )
Drum circles are a great way to unwind, relax, and of course learn how to drum. If you've never drummed before - come anyways! We have lots of small percussion instruments like rattles and tambourines, you can still get in on the fun and when you feel ready, just grab a drum and join in.
You don't need a drum to attend, we have plenty people can use. Hope to see you some Friday!
