Bonjour from Planet Treacle!
The Treacles are back. We've been rehearsing furiously and hope back on the road v-soon.
New girl Sally Payne is finally settling into the drummers chair and locking into the groove with Christine Milner on bass. Jenny Slater is singing and playing Keyboards and guitars with me, Laura Handbag, making twangy noises on my plank.
We have heaps of new songs and if I say so my-self, this is the best band I have ever played in.

Been a blooming long time, but I'm glad to report the 'girls are back in town'!
Treacles V2.5 have been back in the studio and we have completed 5 songs with another 3 on the chocs.

The new line-up features the fabulously talented multi instrumentalist, singer song-writer, Jenny Slater. Jenny is also our chief knob twiddler.

On bass we have the beautiful and utterly wonderful and totally rock steady Chrissie Milner.

Both these girls are hugely experienced and the music sort of drips out of them!

On things that go bang we have M.A.B.L.E, who is more than capable.... even though she lives in a box under the table. She is 'filling' in 'til we find a 'real life drummer'. But i have to say she is very reliable and dead cheap to run, and doesn't steal my earings.

Oh... and I'm still here, banging my plank.

We are planning a world tour a little latter on, but hopefully our debut gig will be sometime in the late summer....

Meanwhile, the new demo's are being mixed down even as we speak and should be with you for your delectation any minute!

Hello, my lovelies

Finally uploaded a new tune!!

It's all about us poor souls who dither and canny make up their minds about anything, frankly. Especially which sex they are...

Shame its got me singing... sorry about that. Anyway I started it back when the band was in its previous incarnation. So its really written for that line-up.

Good news is I am working on a song that I'm really pleased with and it represents a whole new direction... well, as new as you can get with drums guitars, basses etc.

The Treacles may have suffered major surgery... but the heart beats on!
If you visited our myspace page lately, you might have wondered what on earth was going on. One minute there is a message that we have changed our name and that the page is being wound down… and the next here is me shaking my handbag at you…
Basically my friends Dee, Jess and Shaz, have departed from the Treacles to look for fame and fortune. You can find them at http://www.myspace.com/prettyroute
I get to stay around here and wash the musical dishes… I feel a bit like Cinderella on domestic duty while her sisters get to go to the ball.
The Treacles was always my project… so in this sad divorce I get to keep the name.
Just as well there weren't any children.
But there isn't really any animosity between us. Our agenda's have just moved in different directions. I am not looking for a career… just unmitigated fun and games!
Don't get me wrong I am hugely serious about my music. I love it and it's what gives me. I especially adore being up there on stage in my best frock.

So… I'm looking for some new collaborators
