Hello All,
We have just come from mastering the new Miles record, "As Fast As You Can". We're getting copies printed just as fast as we can(pun intended) but until then we have posted 5 of the 11 new tracks for everyone to enjoy. We hope they were worth the wait!
Thanks for listening,
Ben

Hello to all the faithful miles fans!! We know it may seem like we have forsaken the jersey groove, but alas we are emerging from the depths of our chronicaling solitude with a truly fantastic FULL LENGTH RECORD! That's right, we have put down a dozen of our hippest grooves and are just about to serve them up hot for your listening pleasure. To those of you still with us, thanks for sticking around, and for those about to join us we hope you are prepared for the rockage ahead because as soon as the last tweak has been tweaked we are gonna hit the stage bigger and badder than ever before! Can't wait to see you there...

Yoooo Miles group! (I'm capitalizing Miles from now on) So I wanted to send a little update to all you guys. First off, I'm late on it, but June for Miles was amazing. We played 7 new venues we never played, had our sound done by a man named Scorpio, sold out the Old Office at the Knitting Factory, and watched an older couple slow-dance to 'Nothing Wrong at All'! (Which will be up on myspace soon) We've been having a nice couple weeks off here, but starting next week we're full throttle again hitting 3 different shows in the Cleveland, OH area (fun facebook events for those in the coming days). But the main reason I wanted to send one of these mass messages was for plans coming up in months ahead. As the summer reaches it's "hump day" as Dr. Cox would say, we're starting to book shows for the fall. While the summer playing clubs has been and will continue to be the shit, the fall is focused on following the kiddies back to school. With shows already set in Ithaca, NY, Cleveland, OH, and Bethlehem/Lehigh, PA, we'd like to head to more schools/collegetowns to play. So this is where favor number three comes in for you Miles fans (One being joining the group, two being coming to shows…). If you think we might be able to come to your school to play, in any capacity, programming board space, bar in town, frat house, I promise we're not picky, please respond and we'll get on it! It's useful having you guys specify that way when we contact the school or venue, we have another motivation for them to book us! Anyways, as always we infinitely appreciate your help. Other things to look forward to are the new songs we've been tracking since January. Engineered by our bassist/masculine extraordinaire Ben Jacobs, we're happy to say that the tracks are finally just about presentable. It's yet to be determined the capacity they'll be released in, but expect them up on myspace/milesband.org in the very near future! They're sweet I promise…with mileage as vast as instruments cut in a million dollar studio in Cleveland, OH to the best vocals I've ever cut in Ben's closet in Short Hills, NJ. Get psyched. So let us know if you think we can come play for you in your respective town/school. We love our cars, and we LOVE sleeping on floors. Thanks so much for the experience thus far. See ya out there. -Marc.

So it's 3:30 in the morning. Our Knitting Factory Show ended 5 hours ago and I still can't sleep because of it. Tonight was one of our best nights of being an entity as a band. We're at the point where we already have a plethora of stories/memories/shared ridiculous experiences as 4 friends, but this was a night as Miles where we stepped it up.
There was an unparalleled positive energy in the room tonight that we thank absolutely everone who was there for. It was our first show at the Old Office at Knitting Factory and 2 big things happened. We played one of the best nights of music we've ever been apart of, and we sold out one of the coolest rooms in New York City.
Thank you so much. I love being in this band. -Marc, of MILES.

We are currently kickin ass tracking new tunes. Brando just made an appearence in Cleveland and laid down some sweet electric guitar. Now with most of the instruments in place it will be time for vocals and sax very soon. But in the meantime Miles Trio is picking up the slack in the Cleveland area and will be playing the next couple of weekends. So if you're in the area, come on down and check it out!! Please leave us your comments cause we want to hear from you guys! We'll keep you posted, later on...

So it's back. That thing when you realize you've had these sweet songs but haven't shown people beyond the ones that have made it to the shows. It's back in the way it initially was for Wow & Flutter only alot more ambitious, and self-assured. We're making a new record. We're making a new record this time as the engineers, the producers, and the artists. Every inch of this new record will be us. No signed checks going to a studio owner. Just the follicles of hair pulled out from our skulls from the frustration in not figuring out why preamp number eight is working. You'll love it I promise. So far there have been six new songs recorded. You probably don't know them by name, but fun ones including: Sleep, Nothing Wrong at All, Get the Urge, Last Night, Groove Tune, and Extra Info. We'll get them up when we feel they are presentable. Thanks for listening, and stay tuned for when we book some shows again. -miles.
