M.ILL.ION  RECRUITS AUSTRALIAN KEYBOARDPLAYER!

The new keyboardplayer in M.ILL.ION is Angelo Modafferi from Australia

 

Angelo now living in Sweden, was picked after the band scanned the market for two months and he auditioned last week.  M.ILL.ION´ s B.J Laneby comments: “ Angelo is exactly what we were looking for; great musician, rock´ n roll  attitude and he ´s singing backing vocals. And we have already had some good laughs, not the least important thing in this gang.  He´ s  been involved in the music industry for quite some time including touring and recording and has also been a piano teacher for 10 years. We clicked musically and socially right away.”

They´ re a cool bunch of guys and I'm really looking forward to working and rocking out with them.”

The band is now complete again and this line up feels very strong.

Within the category VERY underrated blue/yellow melodic hardrockers M.ILL.ION is a shining example, not the least live. The line up which bassist and central man B.J Laneby leads today truelly has more energy and joy than most and the song catalogue could easily fill 3 times the 45 they have tonight. Fairly they promote the last years brilliant “Thrill of the Chase” album with top class songs as the title track and “Slave to You” naturally fitting in the company of older highlits like “ I´m Your Blood”, “Judgement Day” and the party pearl “Candyman”.

M.ILL.ION is confirmed as opener for British legends Magnum on the Swedish leg of their 35 date European tour! Those shows will also be the first ever M.ILL.ION gigs for new guitarist Andreas Grövle. M.ILL.ION bassman B.J Laneby says: “ We are honoured being offered this tour directly by Magnum – a band we all are fans of. We became friends when M.ILL.ION toured with them back in 1995 and have stayed in contact ever since. Mutual respect + great guys make a good combination and their crew are top people.

Unfortunately our drummer Per Westergren is not available then but we..ll have a great deputy in Johan Häll (Shivering Spines  a.o) stepping in. With him and our new young sixstringer Andreas making his debut we aim to get the crowd in rocking mood before Magnum is on - so be at the gigs early!”

Headlining in door festival:

M.ILL.ION is also confirmed as co headliner of the “Sweden Rock Fest” in Switzerland. Per Westergren is back behind the drums then.
