Hello No Sub Nation.

First off, thanks to all of you who came with us to Nashville. We all
had a blast and hope you guys did as well. For those of you who
couldn't make it, check out the latest Road to Nashville episodes on
the site or catch them on youtube.

We have recently been informed that we have ADVANCED TO THE FINALS OF THE FORTUNE BATTLE OF THE BANDS!!! That's
right, we are the official wild card entrant to the competition and
will be taking the stage of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in
Cleveland on Saturday, October 6th. We owe it all to you, the No Sub
Nation. Without you guys, none of this would have been possible.
Thanks to all of you.

So this means that the No Sub side projects will have to come to an
end (BT has been kicking off the UK leg of his solo European tour,
while Al has been touring the sorority houses while at Grad School,
and Danimal has been pursuing his "acting" career wit Vivid Production
out west). Hopefully you guys can all come join us. As always, we
will be taking footage every step of the way, so tune in for more No
Sub updates.

What's up No Sub fans.  We just got word that we have advanced to the regional finals round of the 2007 FORTUNE Magazine Battle of the Corporate Bands competition, and will be playing in Nashville on Saturday, July 14th!!!   No Sub is one of the 18 bands selected nationwide whom have advanced to the next round, with the final round being held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this October.  Wish us luck.

Aside from the FORTUNE competition, we will be playing/hosting a 4th of July party at NYC's Mercury Lounge with some of our band friends.  We know it's been a while since the last show but don't fear, we have been working hard during the downtime.  A-Lo has been hitting the wieght room pretty hard and now looks more and more like Henry Rollins with each passing day, Ben has been experimenting with Country and World music styles, Al has been studying Scientology in an effort to get more starpower to attend our shows, and Brian...well lets just say Brian has been preserving his Nature Boy'esque good looks.

So mark your calenders, as we will be putting on quite the show.  This country will never be the same!

...well, not really.

Howdy No Sub fans, it's Ben (the drummer) here.  I just wanted everyone out there to be aware that I will be playing this Thursday night (March 1) with a different band, Amy Birdsong.  We'll be playing original tunes that will be sure to knock your socks off, and will be featuring the vocal stylings of the lovely Amy Birdsong.  The country rock roots may be a bit of a departure from the typical No Sub gig, but it should still be a great time, so come check it out if you can!

Just wanted to say thanks to everybody for coming out last night. The turnout was certainly more than we could have hoped for, and from the feedback I have been getting, y'all had a great time. Our apologies if getting a beer at the bar proved to be an adventure, swimming through a crowd of people to then wait for the bartenders to notice ya.  Next time Don Hill's will know that No Sub fans don't play, when they say they are showing up they fill up the place!

Anyways, hope you guys rocked out and had a good time afterwards. We will be back on tour soon. Look for clips and pictures from last night's show on our homepage soon. If anyone wants any T-Shirts, we got extras.

Once again, thanks for coming out. We had the time of our lives up their, and we hope you did too.

What's up No Sub fans.  It's been a while.

Much has gone on since our last show.  Here are the top changes:

  • We recorded our first official demo
  • Ben tied the knot
  • Brian lost his virginity
  • Al lost his front tooth
  • Adrian was cast on a reality show, and was subsequently booted off before the first episode
  • We booked a gig for Friday, February 9th

So about that last point:

We will be playing at Don Hill's (Spring & Greenwich st.) on Friday, February 9th.  As this is the Friday before Valentine's Day, this show will have a cupid theme.  We have been working in the studio on some new tracks which will be sure to have you swingin' form the chandeliers.  We also have the new Valentines Day No Subordination shirts ready, making the perfect gift for your wife, girlfriend, or your favorite prostitute. 

So come and rock out with us.  Our opening band goes on at 7:30.  Make sure to mention No Sub at the door.  We will hit the stage around 9.

Last Night

Dude, we are so freakin' humbled by last night's experience.

The official count isn't in yet, but there might have been over 200 of you guys (a full house) that came out to support the band.

We raised a pretty nice amount for the Children's Aids Society.

We sold out of band T-shirts.

And get this crazy shit. The owner of Bar East wants us back in November for a paying gig.

It was truly and amazing night.

We are still having a hard time processing it.

THANK YOU GUYS SO FUCKING MUCH FOR COMING OUT. IT MEANS MORE THAN YOU KNOW.

 
Not bad for our first concert huh: and they say it usually hurts the first time!
