Happy Sunday Everyone!

Another month is ticking by and life seems to be moving faster than ever these days. We can't believe its just over a year since we released our debut album Under the Pavement and including our first two EP's  'If this is a gag, i'm in' and 'The Redemtion of Mr Tom' released before it, we've been touring pretty much non-stop for two years. Not that we would have it any other way though!

We're making good progress with the new album too, which we've been recording and producing ourselves in between this years festivals and autumn/winter gigs. We're looking to be releasing a single in March and potentially a live album as well, so keep your ears peeled and eyes to the ground for news!

We would also like to say a massive thankyou to all of you wonderful fans who have bought the album and turned up in your droves to see us play - your enthusiasm for the music fills us with much happiness and makes all the hard work, hard floors, hard drinking and baked bean dinners we've endured worthwhile! We're very lucky to have you :)

Our last gig of the year will be back in Manchester headlining a stellar bill at the Indigo Clubnight Christmas Party at Moho Live on Friday December 4th.
We will be joined by Rook and The Ravens, Jesse Rose Trip, Sergeant and Nomad Jones - just to name a few. Tickets are a chritsmas cracker at only £5adv, which is an absolute steal!!!

This is definately going to be a sell out so get your tickets quick!

ADAM P. GORMAN (of The Travelling Band)
www.myspace.com/adampgorman

Presented
by the ever-reliable Travelling Band and associated musical companions,
this new night is an amalgamation of the best bits from rapturously
received gigs as far a field as Brooklyn and Brazil. Stacked with acts
from around the UK that the band has met on their travels to the best
home-grown Manchester talent, it's a heady mix of the best old-time
tunes and the most innovative nu-folk around.

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS....

ROOK AND THE RAVENS www.myspace.com/rookandtheravens

Rook
and The Ravens’ strong harmony driven sound leaves apparent the fact
they have stayed true to their original convictions and influences of
Neil Young, The Band, Kings of Leon and The Travelling Band. With a
much-needed dose of honesty and flair this young band marries exquisite
musicianship and songwriting that cuts straight to the core.

After
their first gig in April 2007, and a successful 15 date UK tour in
November, dates with The Futureheads, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip and
Yeti followed. Appearances at Glastonbury Festival 2008, Summer Sundae
Weekender, alongside the likes of Mystery Jets and Cold War Kids, and
at Wychwood festival, now appear to have sealed their fate.

SAM HAMMOND (of Ten Bears) www.myspace.com/samhammondmusic

Hailing from Manchester, Ten Bears have been described as one of the hotly tipped groups for 2009.

Ten
Bears have been causing a stir around Manchester music venues. Their
energetic rock ‘n’ roll delivers up pop slices such as ‘Charlie’, ‘To
The Moon’ and ‘Zeus’ - and brings to life the inner mind thinkings of
the Ten Bears; Kris Hudson, Luke Daniel, Dom Kozubik, Tim Estherby and
Sam Hammond.

Their debut single - ‘Dirt On The Radio’ is
released on 19th January 2009, and is also being used as the theme tune
to T4's Orange Act Unsigned. They are currently in the studio working
with Ric Levy (Yeah Yeah Yeah’s/Mystery Jets), and would love to play
for you.

ADAM P. GORMAN (of The Travelling Band) www.myspace.com/adampgorman

"Under
The Pavement is the first album from Glastonbury starlets The
Travelling Band and is an inventive brand of guitar-laden country folk
pop which answers all those asking what the fuss was about” Clash
Magazine

“The sounds they generate took me back to my musical
roots… Marvellous music to savour and enjoy” Michael Eavis, Glastonbury
Festival

“Under The Pavement emits a musical warmth you could toast a marshmallow on” Word magazine

Hi guys,

There's been a bit of confusion on our myspace page and our website about a gig this weekend at The Working Mens Club in Pilton. We're not actually playing there, we're playing at a friends birthday party in the area.

Sorry about the confusion if you were planning on coming, we'll be back playing in Somerset soon!!

Happy New Year from all of us!!!

Hi folks.

We are pleased to announce shows for the new year. Don't worry if we aren't playing near you yet, as we have plenty more shows to announce very soon.

We'd like to say a big thanks for everyone's support this year, to all of you who have attended our shows this year and have bought our album. We've had some great responses and lots of re-orders. Unfortunately our distributor for the album went bust due to the dreaded credit crunch, so the album isn't as available as it was in certain establishments and at www.thetravellingband.com. We're working on this and will have it sorted soon. For now though may i recommend buying it straight from Piccadilly Records at www.piccadillyrecords.co.uk.

Thanks for a great year to everyone who's been down to the shows and supported us in any way, we've had some amazing times at gigs this year, and thanks to everyone who's put us up and put up with us!.. We'll be back on the road in 2009 and i for one can't wait...!

Hope to see you all soon,

Adam
