So the album has landed it's finally here!. "Swings & Roundabouts" is the long awaited debut album from Vinnie & The Stars, Its been 2 years in the making, there's been ups and downs, Thought sweat blood and tears have gone into this album and we are proud to say it's finally finished and available for your listening pleasure. This album is really the representation of Vinnie & The Stars to date. The title was inspired by the kind of topics and twists and turns it has taken us to pull this whole album together. There's been ups and downs highs and lows over the past few years but believe me they have all been worth it.

Thanks you for everybody who has supported us over the past few years and who have stuck by use waiting for this release. now you can finally get your hands on the real deal.

Hope fully this will take us into 2010 with a big step behind us and i'm sure they'll be many great things to look forward to. Right now it's some much earned rest until the end of the year to get everyone to full health and ready to get out there on the road again next year!

2009 has been great for Vinnie & The Stars! roll on more good times i say and always look to and brighter future!

Hey Friends,

Just thought I'd let you all know the release of our debut album is getting closer and closer we should see it online in December for digital download and available on CD around the same time.

Whilst taking some time off while the album is been processed for release I've had a little mishap enjoying myself playing a game of 5 a-side football. I've managed to fracture my knee joint. It's been quite painful these past few days but I've just come out of Hospital for the third time since I've done this and it looks like I'm going for the long term mend with out having to have surgery to put a pin in. OWCH!. anyways looks like the show will go on and the few gigs we've got booked will go ahead with me playing with my leg frame on. Fun Times ey?

So this is me in bed jammin' away keepin' on with the music.

Word up y'all,

I just thought i'd let you all know me and me good buddy Luke Moseley aka L-Mo who you may have heard the beatboxing on spaceship blues from have been hooking up at the last couple of my acoustic shows and it's been going down a storm! he's been providing the back beat and backing vocals with a vocal trumpet to my songs and it's been going down a treat!

Anyways i was lucky enough to be the first person to get hold of a copy of his new album on proper CD due to be released internationally on febuary the 9th!

Hey Friends,

Man time flies by so fast when you having fun, just spent the last 10 days on the road played a few gigs and got to saw some of my favorite bands including Jason Mraz, Ben Harper, Matt Costa, Jack Johnson, and of course i got to catch up with G Love & Special Sauce again. Check out the new Brushfire Records crew photo album in my pictures.

So its been pretty inspirational, I've done 1159 miles in the last 10 days and spent over 20 hours in my car. It reminded me of why i wrote the song "Time Flies By" a few years ago. Accept i should change the words to drive 1000 miles and 10 short days this time. Anyways I've just added a new video for "Time Flies By" to my main profile this is a different version to the one available on the "Cool Acoustics DVD" At Crash and Jumbo records in Leeds and online. So check it out.

In other news I've delayed the finishing off of the Vinnie & The Stars album due to recording 2 new songs. "None Sense" and "This Morning" it's now been bumped up to a 12 track album. These two new songs are really going to add to the dynamics and crossings of genres and will really compliment the rest of the album so I'm glad i got to work on them with Warren.

Our Next single Spaceship Blues will be released for digital download on 1st of October featuring two live B-Sides "Dreaming (Live)" and "Spaceship Blues (Live)" which can be heard on myspace. I'll upload the finished studio version of Spaceship blues soon. More details to follow soon!!!

Stay tuned folks a lots going to be happening over the next few months and i should have some more exciting stuff to report.

Hey Folks Hows Tricks?

Now I'm pretty much unemployed I'm finding myself with a lot of free time on my hands, Yesterday I had a really productive day down the studio, pretty much got "Spaceship Blues" and "Pick It Up" ready for my vocals, and apart from a mix finished the two new Ukulele tracks I'm working on. I've also just started writing a new jam called "Should Of Heard The Alarm" which I can't wait to finish. Well that was yesterday.

Today or so far this morning, I had to take a trip into town to the bank and post office, I decided as it was a nice day to brush the dust off my skateboard and see if the wheels still spun round. And hell yeah they did. As I took the down hill ride into town my confidence was booming and when I managed to Ollie up a curb well that was it!

After paying a visit to the bank I decided to check out the local outdoor and free skate park. It'd been years since I'd road a half pipe so I decided to start from the bottom. After half an hour I was away dropping in pumping the pipe like it was yesterday that I was last on it. I decided to take my board to the street section and ride the quarters and fun boxes. Whilst flying about I managed to fluke a backside 5-0 on one of the mini quarters, I was well impressed so decided to hit one of my old favorites a backside 50-50, This was not so well executed I managed to stack it big time and proper graze and bruise my left elbow, man it's a stinger. This was enough for me to call it a day and head on home. It felt good anyway as I'd conquered my fear of getting back on a half pipe with my board. And I'd rediscovered pop shove its and the 180 degree Ollie!

Time for a nice cup of tea and dinner I think. Anyway I feel so fresh today starting my day with an AM skate. It's 12:15 and I've got the rest of my day to myself. Maybe I'll finish my new jam.

Don't you just hate those people who say if they've not made it by.... then they are gonna quit?

I intend to be playing and singing until i physically can't regard less of where music takes me in my life. Music and writing music to me is more then just something i intend to do while i'm young as a hobby, or somthing i'd like to make a career out of. it is a way of life, a form of expressing my self to my maximum potential and a way of getting things off my chest i wouldn't normally talk about. It's my release from the cruel world i was born into. it's my way out even if it doesn't take me any further then the end of my bed, because when i'm playing for that moment i am free. free from work, free from debt, free from the complications of life. i feel at one with myself, it's like finding my karma. Music takes my to a higher emotion faster then any thing else. Music effects my mood. It changes the way i see the world, it allows me to communicate with people without words even. you can't beat a good jam session. Music has brought to me some of the best friends in the world i could ever wish for.

why would anybody give this up if they haven't "MADE IT" ???

Hey Everyone,

Great news about our gig supporting The Martin Harley Band at The Sheffield Boardwalk on Thursday 10th of April.

We've just booked the return coach to the Sheffield Boardwalk, Tickets will be available for just £15 witch will include gig entry and coach travel. we have 50 tickets available.
