Just wanted to say Thanks to all who showed up last night to the BLACK CASTLE in not so great neighborhood, California! You Guys own!!! Los Angeles Thrash Metal scene kicks ass! Very intense crowd last night and a good door count considering the state of the economy and BRUJERIA playing the same night! Once again thanks to you all!! You guys make it all worth it. A big thanks to Hatewar Productions, Agony, Dreams of Damnation, Exmortus, Dismantle, Scrapmetal, and all the bands, and of course THE BLACK CASTLE crew and staff. We had a great time!

We recently moved into a new rehearsal studio in Los Angeles and we've been busy writing; some real good song ideas coming along; we'll keep you updated as the songs develop. We have an upcoming show at the end of this month at the Black Castle in Inglewood on Saturday, November 29th also on the bill will be EXMORTUS and DREAMS OF DAMNATION, SCRAPMETAL, DISMANTLE and others!!! should be a kick ass show. New A.S. merchandise coming soon to retail stores in the U.K. There's also some negotiations going on for some possible AGENT STEEL European festival appearances for 2009.

Our  3:00 hour flight to Guadalajara on Mexicana de Aviacion from Los Angeles was enjoyable; specially after barely making the flight! and passing customs with our gear went rather smooth. The Hotel we'd stayed at (Mision Carlton) was decent; they checked us in into a suite which was much appreciated; we watch movies all day, and some NBA - Go Lakers!, MLB - Go Dodgers! and some stripper poker show on cable which was entertaining. Thanks to those who attended the A.S. appearance at the Festival Xtremo in Guadalajara at the Modelo Especial stage; we appreciate the support! Our time slot got changed at the last minute (this is why we went on a little earlier than planned) and then they tried to cut our set short to prepare for Marky Ramone; no comment on the situation!  The monitors on stage sounded like sh*t! We were told that out front  where the crowd was it sounded good through the sound system. Here's the set list from Guadalajara from Saturday, May 17th (which was about 30-35 minutes): 1. It's Not What You think (first time we've played this live ever!) 2. Fashioned From Dust 3. The next morning we were suppose to be picked up to travel by Bus by the organizers to Estado de Mexico Toluca (Ajusco) near Mexico City where the Festival Xtremo was to continue; well guess what? the bus never came to pick us up and for what we heard lots of bands got cancelled on (this was beyond our control as we were ready for the journey and the second show). Since we got cancelled on and stuck in Guadalajara, we tried to make it a positive out of a negative, so us and our friends PRO-FE-CIA decided to organize a "Free show" at the Hard Rock Cafe in Central Guadalajara and with connections this was put together rather smooth, including radio support, and the Hard Rock Cafe was happy to have PRO-FE-CIA and AGENT STEEL perform live on so short notice; if you're ever in Guadalajara visit the Hard Rock; great staff, good food, great stage and sound; they play great videos on their monitors (PANTERA seems to be a favorite). This show was fun and it sounded killer! both bands brought the Metal and delivered, we would play there again if invited without hesitation. It was our drummer's Rigo's birthday so we partied until all hours of the night with PRO-FE-CIA, we'd like to thank all the new friends we made while our stay in Guadalajara and a big thanks to Juan Carlos from NIGHTBREED, Freddie from PRO-FE-CIA, Maria and the Hard Rock Cafe! This Friday, May 23rd we will be performing live in San Francisco at Fat City  with IMAGIKA, ANGER IS ART, and FOG OF WAR, we look forward to seeing all our friends and metal fans in San Francisco.

Here's an update on A.S. : We just loaded in our gear this week into our new rehearsal studio in Los Angeles and started working on new song ideas; and also revisiting the "STEEL" catalog. We've begun to kick around guitar riff ideas in attempt to write new songs for the follow up to ALIENIGMA. Bernie has been contributing via email, and his guitar riffs are solid and totally in the same style as the rest of us. We have some kick ass shows coming up in May starting in Guadalajara, Mexico on Friday the 16th, and also Saturday  the 17th in Toluca; these will be some fun live shows! It's been difficult to compile a 'fresh' set list of  material into only 45 minutes! compiling a set list is an artform in itself; and some heated debates on what songs we should play and what songs we should leave out have occured!  We will be in San Francisco on May 23rd with our good friends IMAGIKA and ANGER AS ART at a place called Fat City; this will be our first show in the area since the Thrash for Cancer Benefit show a few years back at the S.F. Pound on a bill that also included TESTAMENT, HIRAX, LAAZ ROCKIT and others. AGENT STEEL will also be performing in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 7th at the Black Castle with DEATHRIDERS (featuring Neil Turbin), in addition to some killer up-and-coming local L.A. bands (come out and support our Local L.A. Scene!). We are also looking forward to returning to Europe for the BANG YOUR HEAD FESTIVAL w/QUEENSRYCHE, ICED EARTH and others on Friday, June 27th (We hit the stage early: 11:50AM). The GRASPOP METAL MEETING w/KISS, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, HELMET and others on Saturday, June 28th (set time: 4:20PM) in Belgium these will be some amazing shows for sure!
