i'm pleased to announce that our fourth release and third full-length 'FORTRESSES' is being released on september 1st in canada and october 1st in the u.s. on white whale records (distro by outside in canada and carrot top in the states). uk & europe will probably be early 2010. it was recorded and produced by larry crane (stephen malkmus, elliott smith) and dave draves (julie doiron, kathleen edwards) in the spring and summer of 2008 and features all of the octoberman band's usual suspects plus a few special guests. more info and tourdates to come...

we just finished mixing 8 songs w/ dave draves in ottawa. things are sounding different: more live/raw/noisy/moody/choppy. still gonna do some quieter numbers w/ larry crane in portland in july to make it round.

some fun west coast shows coming up and a solo euro tour in august.

lots of changes these days but i hear that shit makes you stronger.
