Hello all..
This is Josh. I'm just posting a quick little blog here to let everyone know that Phoera is on the verge of an INDEFINITE hiatus. Yes, it's true. Due to some amazing career opportunites, Gwendolyn and Nathan are leaving the province at the end of November to go work at MONSTERS' INK (http://www.monstersink.ca) in Medicine Hat, Alberta. This, of course, means that the strange abberation known as PHOERA is currently on life support.
We plan on making another batch of shirts, and our album will continue to be available through this website, ITunes, HMV, and Chapters Indigo. (myspace messages work too!) Also, WE DO plan on putting together a farewell show, however, we have no definitive date or venue in place at this time.
This has been an incredible journey, and we have all learned very, very much.
I thought it would be prudent to take the time to thank everyone, every single person who ever gave us love and support, came out to any of our shows, bought our CD's, jammed with us, gave us creative criticism, or even just a polite nod.
We had an amazing time, and I don't think any of us would have traded all the insanity that came with this project for the world.
So, once again, thank you.
We'll let everyone know what's going on as soon as we know, but for the time being; keep your eyes and ears open.
When this baby burns up, it burns bright. And from the ashes new things will grow. So keep your head up and watch for us Phoerites in new ventures, because without this aural outlet we will surely wither away.
With much love and respect;
-Josh and PHOERA

Well; It's been about a year in the making, but our CD is finally being pressed and packaged as this blog is being posted. We want to thank everyone for being patient and keeping the boat fuelled. The CD will be available May 18th, at our K-RAD CD RELEASE PARTY with Drunk and Pretending @ Dakoda's Bar and Grill. As well as at the the party and all following shows, you can ORDER our CD @ such reputable establishments across Canada as HMV, Chapters Indigo, and all sorts of mom & pop stores across the vast northern expanse. We'll have a list of exact locations up as soon as we can. ROCK! We're about to embark on our SUPER AWESOME Canadian Phoera tour. (well, halfway through Canada anyway....) The dates haven't been posted on here quite yet as we're still pulling some dates together (you'll see the HELP US GET SHOWS bulletin if you haven't already). They'll be online in a hurry, a few days tops. We've uploaded TWO NEW MP3S off of the album as well, Rhadamanthine and Spiriotous. They are two of our favorites and were a blast to record. In regards to that as well, Phoera would like to personally extend our thanks and props to Trevor Whillock and Brent Volk, two fundamental roots of the Phoera tree. WE LOVE YOU DUDES! Lastly; www.phoera.com is in the works as well. Some time during this month it will host all the album lyrics and some art/band pics. We're still putting the entire site together so it'll be a little bit.... so THANK YOU EVERYBODY that helped us out along the way; Kaylub Hyde(www.myspace.com/soular), Shaun Funk(www.myspace.com/closingiris), DnP(www.myspace.com/drunkandpretending), Kris Stockes(www.myspace.com/krisstockes), MOONBEAM! All you cats are so stellar! UNTIL NEXT TIME; -newj and Phoera

Oh that's right children......it's been a long time coming, but it's almost ready. As the Flower Moon wanes into a cloak of night, the cool spring air will herald a most glorious rise from the ashes. Once risen in it's fully pressed and packaged glory; we will take it with us from west coast to central Canadia and back, leaving a smoldering trail of scorched faces, melted ear-drums and stained underwear. Oh yes, it's coming...

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out to the Fed show last night, we had a blast. It was ZARGATZ inaugural show as a member of Phoera, and he certainly didn't let anyone down. PROPS to Shaun Funk from Closing Iris(www.myspace.com/closingiris) for being such a good goddamned musician, AND for lubricating your rock-orifices for a Phoera insertion.
Also want to thank the gents and ladies at The Grateful Fed(www.myspace.com/thegratefulfedcafe) for being so rad-awesome and constantly putting on fresh shows. These folks are the maaadddd playaz.
One last note; we have a sweeeet ass show coming up at our old stomping grounds Creekside Theatre in Lake Country; we're playing with buds DNP (www.myspace.com/drunkandpretending) and old friend Jordan Clapper (www.myspace.com/jordanclapper)... We're going all out on this one so you better get your funkin' arses down there. Straight up.

Good afternoon children;
It's been some time since our last update. As some of you may already know, we have undergone some serious changes in the Phoera universe.
We'll give you the watered down version. Manda decided to pursue other creative endeavours, which brought us back to the great bass-player hunt. After months of deliberation, it was decided that our old old friend ZARGATZ WEISE of ARCHFIEND WEISE fame (http://www.myspace.com/archfiend weise) would come and take over the low-end frequency slinger.
To put it simply, things are going effing wonderful. The music we have been writing is by far the best we have created so far(at least in our opinion) and we are _most_ excited for things to come.
Secondly, and more importantly, We are currently in the process of putting together our full length, self titled album. We're about 30% of the way through the recording process, and it's really starting to come together. It's been a long time coming but rest assured it _IS_ coming.
There's more big news on the way(see you in Winnipeg, *wink*), but that's for a later post. Thanks to EVERYONE for staying tuned and keeping the faith, we won't let you down.
Oh, and lastly, we threw up some new pictures a few weeks ago but never mentioned it. CHECK OUT THE HOTNESSSS!
Sincerely yours; -newj and PHOERA

Phoera has finally dropped a few bucks into the hole and made a definite good purchase. Gwendolyn has left behind the sweet $50 Casio and traded it in for a Korg Triton Synth/Sequencer/Sampler. Sufficed to say, the next Phoera show is the one where you should drop your acid. (if yer into that sort of thing)
Much love; -Josh and PHOERA
