This coming weekend Angelo will head back into Subterranean Studios under the direction of producer/engineer Will Tompkins to record drum tracks for an upcoming Metallica Tribute CD titled Teach 'Em All.

Angelo will be playing drums for two of the groups most well known songs: Enter Sandman & For Whom the Bell Tolls. The CD will be produced and distributed by the High School Tributes production team headed by producer Patrice Beaudette. High School Tributes is the same production group that produced Christine Sixteen 1 & 2 (tributes to KISS).

Angelo is extremely excited to be involved in this project honoring one of the worlds all-time greatest Metal bands. Teach 'Em All is scheduled for release in Spring 2008. Stay tuned, with up to date info, about this CD at:

On Thanksgiving weekend Angelo helped his friend and fellow drummer Jason Hartless at the 4th Annual Rockin for Tots Event.

Angelo & Jason performed a drum duo for almost an hour at Toys-R-Us by Lakeside Mall. The event helped collect a truck load of toys for children who are in need this Christmas. Angelo was proud to help out at this event and would like to thank Jason and his family for inviting him to be a part of it. Also a big thank to everyone who stopped by that day and contributed to this worthy cause. A lot of children will have a better Christmas this year because of it!

Angelo was hired to be in a television commercial for the new Chevy Malibu. The ad was created specially to be aired only during the World Series.

The cool thing about the shoot was that it took place in an empty Comerica Park (two nights before the World Series started). Only about fifteen actors and actresses were hired for the commercial, and it was filmed to look like they were all in the audience at the games themselves.

Unfortunately, there only ended up being four games in the Series this year. However, it was an awesome experience for Angelo, and an excellent job to add to his already impressive acting resume.

Stop by Angelo's pics to see more awesome photos from the commercial.

I'm writing this blog to hopefully answer some questions and clear up some misconceptions about Christine Sixteen 2. I hope this helps.

- C16 is the brain child of teacher/producer/rock fan Patrice Beaudette.

- The project is a production of the school École Secondaire La Frontalière located in Coaticook, Québec Canada.

- It was created to gives students the opportunity and experience of being involved with the process of making a CD.

- Christine Sixteen are not a family of kids from the same parents. Although we are like family to each other. (There are sisters who sing on the CD)

- It is a non-profit project.

- I do not own the rights to the CD. The only place you can get it is at www.kissmuseum.com

- I am the only kid to play an instrument on the CD. The rest of the musicians are adults. They are the very talented Pascal Madore (guitar), David Berube (bass), and Francis Riendeau (drums)

- I recorded drums for tracks 4, 5, & 6. The rest of the drum tracks were recorded by Francis Riendeau. I was 10 yrs. old when my tracks were recorded.

- I did not sing any parts on this CD. The amazing vocalists are amazing high school students: Cassandra Goudreau, Nadia Goudreau, Carolyne Bédard, Jessica Dionne, Jessica Scalabrini, Nicolas Maurais, and Cassandra Markey.

- The majority of the CD was recorded at Studio d'Enregistrement Musical (SEM) 1492. Only my tracks were recorded at Subterranean Studios in Mt. Clemens, MI.

- There will be more High School Tribute projects in the future. That's all I can tell you. (or I'd have too kill ya!)

The following press release has been posted on the official KISS website:
KISSONLINE.COM
The news has also been posted on bravewords.com & blabbermouth.net
KISS
CHRISTINE SIXTEEN 2: ANOTHER HIGH SCHOOL TRIBUTE TO KISS is now available.

We are really proud of the final product which sounds heavier and more achieved than last year.

The CD has been pressed at 600 copies this time around. The project, just like last year, is still a non-profit venture to encourage teenagers to experiment a style of music that they are not usually familiar with. It also gives them the chance to go to professional recording studio and experiment some media frenzy.

We are also very pleased to welcome kid sensation drummer Angelo Coppola on board. Angelo rocks on three tracks on the new CD.

Here's the set list for CHRISTINE SIXTEEN 2: ANOTHER HIGH-SCHOOL TRIBUTE TO KISS:

1. Jungle (Cassandra Goudreau)

2. Baby Driver (Jessica Scalabrini)

3. Got Love For Sale (Cassandra Markey)

4. War Machine (Jessica Scalabrini)(Featuring Angelo Coppola on drums)

5. Shock Me (Cassandra Markey)(Featuring Angelo Coppola on drums)

6. Deuce (Nadia Goudreau)(Featuring Angelo Coppola on drums)

7. God Of Thunder (Jessica Scalabrini)

8. Watchin' You (Jessica Dionne)

9. Master & Slave (Jessika Groleau)

10. Creatures Of The Night (Cassandra Goudreau)

11. Larger Than Life (Carolyne Bédard and Nadia Goudreau)

12. 100,000 Years (Cassandra Markey)

13. Dirty Livin' (Jessica Scalabrini)

14. Charisma (Jessica Dionne)

15. Into The Night (Nicolas Maurais)

Well, it was another rockin' good time at this years Indy KISS Expo! It was a packed house as the KISS Army showed up in full force. Dealers with vintage merchandise were set up everywhere and deals were flying. Special guest for the day was former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick who signed autographs and took pictures with fans for most of the day. I really learn to admire guys like Bruce at an event like this because he was very generous with his time and greeted hundreds of fans with a smile. He also did a Q&A session where he talked about his days with KISS, as well as Grand Funk (his current band), ESP & Union.

I was priveledged to meet quite a few of my friends from here on Myspace. I was really pleased that I got to meet my friend Ira in person. He is one of the main people in charge of the movement to get KISS into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I really appreciate all of the work he has done and we made sure we got a few of the 11th Commandment (Thou shalt not delay the induction of KISS) t-shirts. Buy one now at www.kissarmyunites.com

This Expo I decided to perform an "unmasked" set without make-up. #1 because I wanted to do a set of "unmasked" era KISS songs and #2 I don't really like to wear make-up! So, I chose to open with a couple from Paul's new CD Live to Win and Bulletproof. Next I played a sneak preview to the new KISS tribute CD I played on titled Christine Sixteen 2. I can't wait until this CD is released in late April. You're gonna love it! Take a listen at: www.highschooltributes.com and  www.myspace.com/46924674

After that I wanted to play my little buddy Zach Johnsons favorite KISS song Heaven's on Fire which I dedicated to him. Also I decided to donate half of all the sales from my CD Pound for Pound that day, to Zachary. I'd like to thank each and every KISS fan that kicked in to purchase a CD. Zach and I THANK YOU ALL!!!http://zacharyskiss.blogspot.com/

I then played three tracks from the little known Carnival of Souls CD. I really wanted a challenge and I enjoyed learning some difficult Eric Singer drum parts.

Lastly, the part I enjoyed the most about this Expo was getting the chance to jam a couple of songs with my friends in Mr. Speed. I had talked to Criss, the drummer, a couple of times before the Expo and he was kind enough to let me jam a couple of KISS classics (Lick It Up & Unholy) with the band. I was really honored to play with those guys and I hope they know what a special time it was for me. Thank you guys and I hope we can do it again sometime!

Mr. Speed ended the event by blasting out an awesome set. These guys not only act and move just like KISS but they sound incredible too. The thing that I love about this band is they not only play the most popular KISS songs but they also work in some of those forgotten classics. Mr. Speed performs eveywhere so if you ever get the chance to see these guys, don't miss it! www.mrspeedonline.com and www.myspace.com/mrspeedkisstribute

Make sure and check out my pics from Indy at: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=89272144&albumId=872393

Also watch some video of my performance at: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=2020681645

To everyone that stopped by my table THANK YOU!!!

See ya at the next one!

Angelo

I hope you all are as excited as I am about the upcoming release of Christine Sixteen 2 (Another High School Tribute to KISS). I had the privilege of recording the drum tracks for three songs on this CD. It will be a must for any KISS fan to own. This CD is really gonna rock! There won't be a lot of copies made, so make sure you get your copy exclusively at: www.kissmuseum.com in April.
