Steve Williams celebrated his first 1 song, Redneck Yacht Club, recorded by Craig Morgan, one of the most downloaded songs of the year. ASCAP called it "the summer song of 2005." Soon after he penned I Get To, recorded by Blue County, which rose to 1 on the Christian Country Music Charts.

Now a writer with SESAC, he has written for EMI Publishing, Malaco Music, and Greenhills Music Group headed by Woody Bomar. Steve also owns and operates Wilburns Music Publishing and is co owner of Redneck Yacht Club LLC. His songs have been recorded by artists Craig Morgan, Buddy Jewell, Trick Pony, Blake Shelton, Steve Holy and more. A native of St Louis Steve moved to Nashville in 1995 and toured with such acts as Kenny Chesney, Tanya Tucker, Deborah Allen, Buddy Jewell and Sherrie' Austin playing guitar, piano and adding vocals.
