Hello all.....

For a long time, friends, family and people like yourself, have been asking me to make some soothing music for their kids - to help their little ones unwind and fall asleep, at the end of their busy days in a big world.

Well, that moment has arrived - i've decided to go ahead with this project, and make a lullaby record..........

Thanks to all of you ( you know who you are ) for letting me spend time over the last few years with all your wonderful kids - they are the inspiration for this record............
I hope to have it completed by the end of summer, and release it out into the wide world not too long after that.

Essie Jain will appear on BBC Radio 3's The Verb this Friday 3 October. The show, presented by poet Ian McMillan, is broadcast from 21.15 to 22.00 (BST). Essie will play a couple of songs as well as being interviewed.

A special edition of THE INBETWEEN, including artwork by Luke Drozd and two new bonus tracks, will be released worldwide on The Leaf Label, on November 17, 2008.

We are all very exicted, because not only do we love the folks at The Leaf Label, but we also get to travel over large bodies of water and play lots and lots of music !

Essie is the current New York Times Artist of The Week.

She had an interview with Ben Sisario and played a song for their weekly pod-cast..........go have a listen, it will be up online until June 24 !
