Hello Friends, Writing to you from the studio as we mix six songs for our upcoming ep entitled "Limbo". We've got a release show scheduled at Detroit Bar for 7/11 with We Barbarians and Red Cortez. Hope you can make the show and celebrate with us! Limbo EP (in no particular order) 1. A Confession 2. Tuck (How it Feels) 3. Limbo 4. God In Search of Man 5. What's It Worth 6. Hiding Place We've been recording these songs with our good friend/engineer/producer Greg Doyle who plays in an Anaheim band, Babychamp. Check them out and download their record for free. Our good friends at Phiaton are helping the cause and have donated some of their headphones to help us record vocals at our house in Santa Ana. Much love. Check them out if you're looking for studio headphones or just plain ole ipod hook-ups. As soon as a few of the songs are ready, we'll be sure to post one or two to our myspace for your listening enjoyment :) We're getting back in the swing of things from our west coast tour with our new friends Kinch (AZ). Had a blast. Made some great new friends and memories. Took some great video that we're editing and putting together youtube aushua binges. We leave again 7/11 to start our national tour in support of NY band Nightmare of You. We're pretty excited to see the southern part of our country for the first time playing music. The plan is to be on tour pretty much until the end of year so hopefully we survive the road....keep us (and our van) in your prayers. If we're in your area, please let us know...we could always use a floor for the night.

As you may or may not know, we are heading out on this summer and would really fancy coming over to your house after a show and sleeping on your floor. There are just four of us. We are all well-behaved and polite. We promise not to make a mess. We require nothing more than a floor and a ceiling. If it is your pleasure, we are happy to go to sleep as soon as we arrive. If you seek further partying, we are happy to do that also. I believe that you will find our company most agreeable. We'll cook, clean, do your homework, walk dog, etc. Deal? Please check the tour dates and let us know if you can help. We are eternally grateful. I mean...how do you not want to hang out with these 4 beautiful faces?

Hows everyone? Richard...this ones for you. Ive been sitting around Dana Point all day long in this weird hot/dry California weather changing channels between football and the annual fire news coverage and thought id say hi to you all.
How about that election day? I'm reminded every 4 years how incredible our democratic voting process is. It's crazy that our entire country can take a day to synchronize with one another and elect leaders, laws, and the direction of our country. On Nov 4th it was just really cool to drive around and see people pulling into designated polling stations, waiting in lines to individually place their personal votes on the future of our country. As I walked into the YMCA in Dana Point after work around 7pm to place my votes, I was assisted by both old and young volunteers....VOLUNTEERS....so cool that people feel motivated to do this without pay. They had been there since 6am making sure every vote was counted. The idea that my vote was being counted and coordinated with fellow americans nationwide sorta freaked me out a bit. I strolled up to the voting computer thingy and I felt my palms get sweaty, this nervous feeling came over me, and i started feeling all americany...full of pride and stuff....it was weird. Everyone at the polling station was there for the same reason I was and it was just great to be a part of something so important. Also, the fact that people have spent years of their life trying to rally an opinion or idea...and then thinking about how ancestors died for the right for me to vote really started to give me the chills. Our great country actually hands the reigns over to its citizens and gives them the opportunity to voice their opinion...dannnnng how cool is that? As you can tell...Im feeling quite patriotic at the moment.
Nate's been doing a lot better. He recently started working again. His medical bills are being taken care of by a non-profit that assists victims of violent crimes. Thats really a huge financial relief for Nate. From my observation, other than the surgery he needs on his ruptured ear drums, he seems to be back up and running. Again, we cant thank all of you enough for your messages, donations, and surprise dinners. We all appreciated the support very much, especially Nate.
We've been moving studios and spending a great deal of time trying to finish songs. We've got some new stuff on the cusp that we are hoping to begin playing live very soon. We've been toying with the idea of heading back into the studio with Teppei to record a few more tracks. More TBA hopefully soon...
We're headlining La Cave Dec. 13th with our good friends, Tall Hands, from LA. They don't come down to OC much, so let's give them a good show. If you haven't heard their music, be sure to find them in our top 8. We're expecting this to be our last local show of the year so hopefully you can help us make it a good one.
We had a little photo shoot last weekend in Silverado Canyon and should have photos up soon. We hate photo shoots. How do you take them seriously? What are you supposed to wear? How are you supposed to look facially? Where do you put your hands? How do stand and not look like you have to go to the bathroom? Should I look to the side like something catches my eye? ickkkk...
Nate - put up the song Reverberation off of our EP. Figured it was time to put a new tune up there for you myspace playlist streamer junkies. Nate was also bored one day and decided to take Reverberation and re-mix it into a different mood....you can find that on our myspace for a limited time.
Eric - trying to sell his red tomato car...Honda Civic. buy his car. recently graduated to expert level on guitar hero. attempting to conquer the drums now. switched to direct tv and got the COMPLETE on demand package FREE for one month. for some reason...direct tv still hasnt realized that the one month is over. who needs a black box to steal cable?
Lee - cooks a mean chicken parmigiana. loves to shop at fresh n easy. recently got a new roomate...this cool guy brian mayfield. oh ya...lees a shift lead at star bucks now...they gave him keys! hes kindve a big deal. tip him well.
Phil - my fantasy football team is clinging to playoff contention. things just arent working out for me. ughhhh. i spend sundays watching , churching it, football, drinking beers, and eating religiously at this dope little sandwhich shop at tutor and spunkys. if you're ever in dana point....go to tutor and spunky's and get your mind blown.
currently listening (because cool bands usually do this i guess): Bob Dylan Television Echo and the Bunnymen Talking Heads Radiohead - In Rainbows
Sweet.

Hey everyone, I thought I would take a second to update everybody on what's going on. First off, I don't think I can articulate how thankful I am for all this support I've received and continue to receive. It's astounding, really. All the cards, gifts, donations, just the notes even, and just the idea that people are wishing me well and hoping I get better quickly is just too much. So, thank you so much, it means the world to me. As far as my health goes, I'm alive and pretty okay. My skull is cracked up, and it hurts something pretty. I think there was a total of four fractures including one sustained to my ocular cavity and these are probably gonna take the longest to heal all the way. What happened to my ear is a little different. My jaw bone unhinged and broke my left ear canal and as for right now I still can't hear out of it, leaving me to play the "Where's that sound coming from?" game while I hear out of mainly one damaged ear. The doctors say that a little hearing will come back, but, both ear drums are perforated and I will need surgery to fix them and hear at 100%. I just have to wait until I find out if I have qualified for emergency medical insurance, hopefully, and then I'll be able to move ahead with that. My eye is somewhat peculiar as well. There was a rupture in the Choroid part of my eye. The doctors seem to think I'm pretty lucky due to the fact that if my eyeball decided to rupture a few millimeters over it would have been in my Macula and I would have no vision in that eye at all, instead, when looking out my right eye now it just looks like everyone is melting or pretending to be in a Salvidor Dali painting, straight lines become wavy and it kinda feels like I'm in a fun house, and, I just found out today that this is permanent. One worry, and this sounds totally medieval and superstitious to me, but one worry the doctors have is that "blood vessels" can now "grow through the rupture" into my eyeball and mess with my Macula. This apparently could happen, but it makes no sense to me. That's about it for all thee hoighty toighty medical stuff. Truth is I feel okay most of the day, I have plenty of company, tons of awesome food and I'm not too worried about any of this stuff. I have taken up painting water-colored-thank-you-postcards, they are going well. I know it will be a while before I'm back to "normal," I'm doing everything I can to get there as fast as possible. In the mean time, my friends, acquaintances, community, and pretty much everybody, you never cease to suprise me or make me feel good. I doubt there is anyone else that feels as comforted as I do, and for this I'm endlessly grateful and I thank you all so much. I'll let you know more as it comes.
Nathan Gammill

I wanted to fill everyone in on what's been going on with the band for the last couple of days. Thanks for the messages and comments from all of you. Please keep Nate in your prayers... On Thursday night Nate was taken to the hospital because of some major head trauma he sustained from getting jumped by a couple of guys. The cops showed up and Nate's friends explained what happened and described what the two men looked like. The cops put a call out and another unit up the street caught the two men as they were writing them up for a DUI. Nate's friends identified the men and they were arrested. Apparently, both of these men were just released from prison about a week ago. Nate was taken to the hospital that night for multiple head injuries. He suffered a skull fracture on the back of his head, another also next to his eye socket, and a fractured ear canal. We've visited him a couple times and he seems to be in good spirits and we think that he will be released in another day or two. We're thankful that Nate is alive and didnt suffer any major brain injuries. We've had to cancel a couple of shows to give Nate some time to heal up and take care of himself. Thank you to the venues and you guys for being so understanding of the situation. We are hoping to be back at it in October at some point. Please continue to pray for Nate that this doesnt have any long-term effects on his health. I'm sure Nate will be pressing charges and hopefully put these guys back in prison for a long time. Again, thank you for all the support from you guys. As bummed as I get thinking that there are people out there who would do things like this...it's touching to be reminded of how great friends are. ...and now I leave you with a picture of Nate cutting a rug on the dance-floor

NATHAN: Hey PHIL: Hello NATHAN: Who's all here yet? PHIL: I think just me... NATHAN: Figures... Hey, how much you want to bet that Lee's asleep still? PHIL: I don't want to bet on that, besides- ERIC: -Six. Seven. Four. Three. Uh. One. One- PHIL: Eric. ERIC: Phil? PHIL: Yes, hello, Nate's here too, we're waiting on Lee. NATHAN: Is there any reason we are doing this so early? PHIL: Eric, is Lee even up? ERIC: Should be. PHIL: I know, but is he? ERIC: Couldn't tell ya. I'm up. NATHAN: I'm gonna make some coffee, my blood feels like molases. ERIC: I could use some. PHIL: Well could someone go figure out where Lee is? I don't want this to take too long, I have calls to Forida I gotta make before they call it quits for the day. NATHAN: It's noon. PHIL: Not in Florida. NATHAN: That makes sense... ERIC: Lee! NATHAN: Lee? ERIC: Lee! What are you doing? ERIC: We have a conference call... ERIC: Yes, that was today... ERIC: It's about noon... ERIC: Yes, right now... ERIC: Sure, put in on pause... NATHAN: Hey, Lee, you want coffee? NATHAN: Jesus, what's that thing with the chain saw? NATHAN: ...and that guy in the purple robe with the scythe? NATHAN: ...you don't say... Hey, how far along are you anyway? NATHAN: Three times? You beat it three times? PHIL: What the hell are you doing? Get Lee on the damn phone, please. NATHAN: Lee get your phone... NATHAN: Everything's fine don't worry. ERIC: He found it. NATHAN: Hey Lee, where was it!? Ha! Didn't I say that? PHIL: Just guve him the number. NATHAN: I totally said that. PHIL: ... NATHAN: ... ERIC: No, you just punch the numbers in, you don't have to speak them. LEE: Hello? PHIL: Thank God. ERIC: Coffee is done. NATHAN: Thanks. PHIL: Look, I just want to make sure we're all on the same page. I'm really excited about the Detroit Bar show and just want to make sure we are all doing what we can to make sure we get everybody there. NATHAN: Seriously. PHIL: Seriously. And, I was hoping to get some new songs in the set, I think it's really important that we start finishing this mound of material we have so people don't get bored. LEE: We should just do an album! ERIC: Well, a couple songs are pretty close. NATHAN: Yeah, I mean, Hiding Place is just about done, I was listening to the recording we made of it and it sounds almost ready... PHIL: Almost. So, what else does it need? NATHAN: Well, I was hoping, I mean, if songs we're landscapes, you follow me, like I was hoping to put it somewhere between an evironment like the one in 'For You' and the one in 'This Must Be The Place.' ERIC: Landscapes... NATHAN: Yeah, like, I don't know, just like, I want it to feel like you're watching Pete and Pete, or something. PHIL: ... ERIC: ... LEE: ... NATHAN: ...You know? Like you know in Clavin and Hobbes where they're sledding and making snowmen and there are all those cool trees around? Those narrow, white and black... I don't know what kind they are...but.. LEE: Cedars. NATHAN: Nah, I don't think they're cedars... LEE: They're Cedars. NATHAN: No, they're like the one's in those Bev Doolittle books. Where she draws pictures of Native Americans, but then it turns out there's a big eagle or a wolf in the reflection in the lake or something... ERIC: What are you talking about? NATHAN: It's just how I want the song to feel. ERIC: ... PHIL: ... LEE: ... PHIL: Well, we'll work on that. NATHAN: Hey Lee, do we have any cream? LEE: There's some in the fridge. NATHAN: I don't see it... LEE: Hold on... NATHAN: I looked in the door... on that bottom shelf... LEE: It's right there. NATHAN: Where? LEE: There, by the leftovers. NATHAN: There's leftovers all over the place, Lee. LEE: Here. NATHAN: Thanks, ...that was kinda right in front there, huh. I was just looking for pink, we usually get the pink kind right? This really kinda blends in there doesn't it... PHIL: Alright, so, just make sure you let all your friends know about the show. Now that we are going to be travelling a little farther for shows, we won't be playing around here as frequently, so it will be nice to get everyone together at Detroit for the last time in a while. I gotta get back to work, what are you guys up to tonight, anyone have work, or can we practice? LEE: I'm free. NATHAN: I think I can, I'll have to check, but I'll send you a message in a few. PHIL: Eric? ERIC: I kinda got something going on... PHIL: What? ERIC: Just something. NATHAN: Well, what? ERIC: Don't worry about it. Just something, nothing really. NATHAN: Yeah, me too, I got something going on, better wait 'til tomorrow night. LEE: What are you guys doing? NATHAN: Just something. Don't worry about it Lee. PHIL: Alright, I'm outta here. NATHAN: See ya. LEE: Bye. LEE: Eric's gone too. NATHAN: Hey Lee, have you eaten yet? LEE: No, not really. NATHAN: Scoot over. NATHAN: What? Don't sigh. It's my couch. NATHAN: Hungry? LEE: Nah, not really, now. NATHAN: Alright, I'm gonna walk down and get some food. LEE: See you later, you coming back? (END CONFERENCE CALL)
