Just a little update from on the road. 5 out of 11 gigs have gone by now and so far, it's going really great! Tonight in Szene, Vienna, we were happily surprised by the number of people who showed up on a sunday, that rocks!

Also a big thanks to the metal heads in the Prague, you people gave us a great time!

We've shot some footage every day and here's the footage from the first day in Türock, Essen (D). Sorry about the crappy visual though, check it out!


There will be a lot more footage online soon, also check the youtube channel of Markus the guitar tech: A big horns up to the guys of Entombed and Merauder, who are very cool to be on tour with. They rule!

‘VISION’, the forthcoming album by Death/Thrash band DEVIOUS (Hengelo, Netherlands) currently is in the capable hands of JOCHEM JACOBS (TEXTURES) at the SPLIT SECOND SOUND studio (Amsterdam, Netherlands) in order to be mixed and mastered.

 

DEVIOUS’ appearance at ELSROCK (August 29 2009 in Rijssen, Netherlands) alongside the likes of FLOTSAM & JETSAM, TANKARD, MUCKY PUP and SODOM will also be ‘VISION’ ’s release party. DEITY DOWN RECORDS will have the CD in stores on August 31 2009 (world) and September 7 (UK/Eire).

Hengelo, Netherlands based Death/Thrash quintet DEVIOUS commenced recording their new full-length album “VISION”, to be released by DEITY DOWN RECORDS. “VISION” succeeds the band’s critically acclaimed works “Acts of Rage” (Spitzenburg Records 2003) and “Domain” (Deity Down Records 2007). The recordings will be engineered by Frank Klein Douwel and mixed by producer Jochem Jacobs (Textures) at the Split Second Sound studios, Netherlands.

Due to the departure of long time bass player SVEN VAN TOORN, the current DEVIOUS line-up consists of:

GUIDO DE JONGH (Founding member, Guitars)

FRANK SCHILPEROORT (Founding member, Drums)

ARNOLD OUDE MIDDENDORP (Vocals)

WOUTER HUITEMA (Guitars)

DANIEL CENTIAGO (Bass)

Along with the replacement on bass, the band introduces a brand new logo. The release of “VISION” is planned for late August 2009. The exact date will be announced shortly.

Dutch national radio station 3FM organizes a contest with which a support slot at the forthcoming Unholy Alliance III Slayer show of Nov 7th at Heineken Music Hall (Amsterdam, NL) can be won.
 
The finals during which this prize of prizes will be awarded are being held at Stairway To Heaven (Utrecht, NL) on Oct 31st. There, Devious will meet two more contenders.
 
A skilled jury, containing a representative of Mojo Concerts and music guru Eric Corton will decide which band is fit to open for legendary metal giants Slayer. Devious will only stand a chance if you are there help them see it through.

"Shoot Devious and win!"

Devious houdt i.s.m. Deity Down Records een speciale Zwarte Cross video actie. Kom naar het optreden van Devious zaterdag 26 juli om 12:00 uur, haal je mobieltje tevoorschijn, schiet de band terwijl ze in aktie zijn op het podium en maak kans op pakket bestaande uit een gratis "Domain" CD + T-Shirt!!

We willen proberen de gehele set compleet te krijgen. Lever ons je clip aan vóór zaterdag 8 augustus. We hebben daar de volgende manier voor bedacht: stuur een mailtje naar contact@devious.nl. Je ontvangt dan inlogcodes voor het speciale Devious YouTube account. Upload je filmpje maar kies niet de optie "openbaar maken". Wij zullen de meest geslaagde clips selecteren, ze zichtbaar maken, en er de namen van de winnaars bij vermelden. Die zullen voor eind augustus hun prijs in de bus vinden.

DEVIOUS has rejoined forces with original vocalist ARNOLD. Frontman Coen had expressed the desire to step down some time ago already, but has helped out in order to fulfil the band´s commitments towards bookers and venues while the band was looking for a suitable replacement.

Guido comments: "a few rounds of auditions took place indeed, but we soon concluded that the best man to represent our brutal package is our former vocalist Arnold, with whom we recorded "Acts of Rage ", our 2003 debut album".

Gerard of Deity Down Records adds: "props to Coen for the marvellous job that he did on "Domain", Devious´ current album. His decision deserves to be respected, but I also think that the band´s future is equally bright with Arnold back on board".

The new line-up will debut on stage at Atak in Enschede, Holland on Februari 8th, with supports Hatred (Blasphemous Deliverance CD presentation) and Toxocara.

With pride DEITY DOWN RECORDS announces that as of today the roster has expanded once

again. Brazilian veteran musicians GERSON WATANABE (guitars), HERNAN OLIVEIRA (bass, vocals) and JOHNNY ROSA (drums), a.k.a. ANMOD have signed the dotted line. The band can without a doubt be situated in the deathgrind field.

ANMOD's debut CD "Monstrosity Per Defectum" has been scheduled for an early 2008 release.

All current ANMOD members share a part of their     brutal musical history with another Brazilian band by     the name of FORNICATION, yet the likes of

                HORRIFIC DISTURBANCE

                FLESH GRINDER and

                HECATOMB 

    should also ring a bell.

Dutch Death/Thrash Metal Machine DEVIOUS joins forces with DEITY DOWN RECORDS.
 
The release of the long awaited new album "DOMAIN", successor to "Acts of Rage" (Spitzenburg Records, 2003) will be celebrated at "Metropool" in Hengelo, Netherlands on Thursday Februari 1st of 2007. During the release party (count on a few surprises during the event), "DOMAIN" will be available at a special, high discount price.
 
DEITY DOWN RECORDS' long time only band VERMIN welcome DEVIOUS as their labelmates. All parties involved are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation.
