SUBWAY011EP Hypnotic Elements EP – Noah D Subway 12″ Vinyl x 2

Noah D steps up for his return on Subway and what a return it is.. Hypnotic Elements EP is title of his 5 track double pack and its the one everybody has been waiting for! The A side is the one and only Seeeriousss thats being cained by allmost every bigshot in the game. No cheesy buisness but straight up ghetto sounds are filling the speakers up and destroying it bit by bit by bit! Turn it over for another big bad tune called Twister.. Like a hurricane this riddim explodes into a whirlwind of bass and sub and sucks in anything that comes across it.. again not for the fainted hearted cause Noah D is ON this! Disc 2 brings back one of Subway’s Biggest bangers in a Straight Jacket VIP Style.. Noah D VIP’s this tremendous tune and it gets the extra flow and strech it deserves. Once this one drops you know there isnt no turning back anymore. Turn it over for 2 different takes on Noah D’s sound. first one its Got U Now a dubbed out stomper wich sees Noah flexing over other sounds as he’s best known for! The second tune holds Vibrationz.. and there is nothing more to say about this tune as it does exactly what it says.. SUB + SUB + SUB.. dont let any beers stand in front of a speaker when this one plays cause youll see yourself running toward the bar to get a new one before you know it!

LNDB 004 - JAHDAN "THE GENERAL"

Following the success of the acclaimed dubstep/roots single "She Told
Me" with 77Klash and his group Noble Society with their album Take
Charge taking Best Reggae Album of 2008 from iTunes The General finds
Jahdan going deeper into Dubstep territory for the first single from
his new solo album with DJ /Rupture and Matt Shadetek's Dutty Artz
crew "Buzzrock Warrior". On The General Jahdan offers a cautionary
tale of a boy caught up in political violence and gang warfare in a
third world shanty town. Jahdan looks at the glamorized world of
gangster-ism and gun violence through the eyes of the children left to
fend for themselves and paints a sad picture:

"Whole heap of ghetto youths living desperate and destitute / can't go
to school cause they can't afford a khaki suit / a hot meal at night
before them go to bed and sleep / so they go out a road with them big
gun and go creep / cause they got to eat..."

On The General Jahdan touches down on a deep and hypnotic dubstep
reggae riddim produced by Matt Shadetek and Liondub which marries the
vocal aesthetics of contemporary synthetic reggae with the pitched
down syrup hooks of chopped and screwed Houston rap. In their first
collaboration together Liondub, an internationally acclaimed ragga
jungle / reggae producer and DJ, and Shadetek, known for his grime and
dancehall productions, sat down in Liondub's Bedford Stuyvesant studio
with Jahdan and built the riddim especially for the project. The
single features the original mix, acapella and remixes by Marcus
Visionary and Noah D. Marcus Visionary, who like Jahdan is Guyanese
by way of Toronto, is best known as a drum and bass producer releasing
on Shy FX's Digital Soundboy label. Marcus transforms The General
into a warped-bass dubtep banger on his remix. Portland's Noah D is
respected for both his dubstep and drum and bass output receiving
support from DJs like Skream, DJ Hype, N-Type, Tech Itch and turns in
a dubby percussive remix. Jahdan himself has a long history of
releases and collaborations including recently voicing for Diplo, a
single with Liondub forthcoming on DJ Pinch's respected Earwax label,
collaborations with Dead Prez, Norris Man, DJ Premiere and many others.
