It's been a while since the last mix, so I felt the urge to do a new one. As always it's a quite personal selection of old and new stuff, played out and tested by myself on various occasions, clubproof and well hung, but this time around I had to use digital means to compile the tracks due to a wrecked pioneer mixer at home. Still the original tracks have all been recorded from vinyl sources (I like to emphasize that), except the last track from John Maus (which I nevertheless love to death... still hunting down a vinyl copy). Most of the mixing is none-digital, but lots of cuts and re-arrangements have been necessary due to dropouts. Don't get me wrong: it's fun to play around with files, having a whole new set of possibilities at the tip of your finger. But there's nothing like dropping the black gold on a record player, at least for me. It lets you keep the respect for the music, it's pure, it's essential, no fancy dress code or headcrashs. It's the one reason why dance music is structured the way it is. And frankly, I don't want to spill the vodka on my laptop. Why spilling in the first place? Well, shit always happens...

> Here's one I really know absolutely nothing about, but it also sounds like it prefers to stay in the dark. Hyperbolic and driven by pure movement, raw techno with an edge, primetime of my dreams!

John Maus - Do Your Best (Upset! The Rhythm)
> This is so obscure I originally thought that it's been released somewhere in the early eighties. In fact, it's a young chap with huge talent, being also on myspace. Apparently every single professional reviewer hated this record. Well, I have a message for you guys: go fuck yourself, as this is not the night of the living deaf, is it? So shut up and learn to listen. I am so angry at you , I just feel like sixteen again (which is good, by the way). Music can't get more personal than this.
