Current mood: okay
.... News from the Triplet camp: Our record is still being mixed. We have some of the tracks already, and we are stoked. A bunch of shows came up suddenly in December, and we're more than happy to do them, since it has been a while since we've been out there on a stage. We were supposed to play Mundo Mix this saturday de 5th, but we aren't anymore We're gonna go down to the Algarve and do Rock on Chrismtas Music Festival, put on by our very own Denny Hurst, who used to Road Mange for us, and is one of our best friends ever. The show is on Sunday, hte 6th. The next day we come back up to our dear Lisboa, to play with our extended family "Humble", on a very anticipated show, to go down on Music Box. It will be Monday the 7th Then we get ready for probably our dearest of all of these, our unplugged Christmas benefit show in Carcavelos, at ABLA (we'll post a map here soon), on the 12th (Saturday at 17:00) it will be a different version of Triplet, more intimate, and you get to help those in need. For this show we invited 2 really nit new bands which we are friends with "Finisher of our Faith", and "Last Days". The tickets will be 5€, and some kind of dry goods, like rice, pasta, or canned goods too, like tuna, etc, or if your prefer 2nd hand clothing or toys, or even new if you want. They will be given out to children in need. Please show up and support us, these kids, and take back our music,in a way yet unheard by many. The show is in the afternoon, it starts at 17:00 and it's supposed to end at 19:00, so make sure to come, it's early, you can't still go party after it. We also just got invited to do a 30 minute FREE Unplugged showcase, for the screening of Rob Machado's new movie. Rob is one of the best surfer's in the world, for those who don't know, but he's a different kind of surfer. Just watch the clip below and you'll understand. Hurley supports this movie, so of course we couldn't say no. And we didn't, but we haven't confirmed it yet 100%, but it all looks like we are doing it. It will be on a tuesday, on the 15th to be more exact. So show up, it will be fun.
THE DRIFTER
In the summer of 2008, iconic surfer and former Pipe Master Rob Machado flew to Indonesia to experience a different kind of surf trip. A journey that would take him way beyond his comfort zone, to the point where he could finally be alone with his thoughts, his desires and the empty perfection of an unnamed Indian Ocean reef. What did he discover? You never stop dreaming. Even when they come true.

Sorry this is too long to translate into Portuguese!!
Hello everyone
Just wanted to show we're not dead, so we changed our myspace layout a bit, until we figure out what the new record is gonna look like, and we had the old one up for so long so... No big change, but still.
I'm pleased to announce that the record is officially tracked, that is, everything is recorded, and the next step is mixing. Jason Moncivaiz who produced the record, will be in charge of that, back in Nashville. He really brought the best out of all of us, and it was a great experience. I could even say it changed our lives, not only as far as music goes, but also as people.
At times we had to question the true reasons why we are doing this. Why do we put up with each other, coz despite the fact that we do love each other, we are so very different, and sometimes outside things can get the best of us: pressure, distractions, insecurities, etc...
And let me tell you a lesson we learned from all of this:
For the last 10 years i've been hearing about how we should "listen to our heart", no matter what, that in our heart we will find the right answer...
Well, i beg to differ, coz so many times our hearts are blind, filled with pain, pride, wounds left unhealed, and also the things i mentioned above.
If you find yourself in these situations, your heart is not to be trusted one bit, and if you are honest with yourself, you will have to agree with me, that our hearts can not be trusted all the time.
Anyway, i wont go into details at this point, but this was probably the biggest lesson we learned.
That's why we need people to fight for our hearts even when they don't look that good, people we can trust, specially in hard times.
I have to say, this record, and the songs in it, are extremely positive, but they came out of some pretty dark times, and places.
That is all for now.
We'll keep you posted
Also in case you don't know you can follow us on Twitter, just look up tripletrock
Love
Ben

The record is almost tracked, that means "recorded", which doesn't mean
done. Still needs to be mixed, mastered, and put out. Still everyone in
Triplet is very happy with the outcome. We believe people will be surprised. It has been a hard working month, we were put the test, and hopefully we'll come out victorious.
Today Ruben finished up his last song on Bass, and tomorrow I'll finish up all the little extra guitar parts. We will also be tracking "Gang vocals" tomorrow. You figure out what that means.
We have one more song to do on vocals, and that's it for now.
After i will hopefully have a well deserved break, in an undisclosed location.
That is it for now.
Cheers
Ben

ENG:
So like...we're doing a new record.
Today I picked up our producer at the airport. Our good friend Jason, who flew all the way from Nashville.
We got to hang out, eat picanha, talk about gear, mics, pre-amplifiers, and geeky stuff...oh, and 300$ worth of golden plated guitar cables (i hope they make our songs turn to gold). Listened to the pre production, and took some notes.
We have a weekend of shows, starting Thursday at Loures (Lisbon), then Friday we go to Spain, to play at Burgos.
Great times are expected, and even more when we get back, and start to work on the record.
More news on that soon.

Current mood:recording mood
Aparecam e tragam pessoal
Queremos que seja uma noite e tanto.
Ate la
Ben
