This is week 16 of the pregnancy. So far, things are progressing normally. I've heard the heartbeat several times (which I never could hear with Morgan and the Chlo-bug) and had my quad-screen blood test on Monday. This is a test generally recommended for high risk pregnancies (older women, women with medical issues) to see if there are any potential problems with the baby. Since I have no family medical history, I am placed into that category. I pray, cross my fingers, wish at 11:11, and knock on wood that next week I hear all is well with bambino numero tres.
In other news, today I went to Petco to get litter and cat food and decided to buy two mice. Most of you (who actually read this, which I know are few) know I have a very soft spot in my heart for rodents. I kept gerbils as a teen, and had a lovely pet mouse named Roy during my stay at BSU. I have been wanting another for awhile now. They make great pets. Chloe is in mouse heaven right now. She named hers Minnie Mousey. Morgan named hers Shirley, which I think is kind of a drag queen-ey name but hey, I love the queens so it's all good.
Okay, time to get them out of their box. Wish me luck that Mr. Spock and Spooky don't eat our two new charges.
