Ok Kiddos,

This weeks pic is an easy one. He is one of my personal heroes and one of America's preeminent students of The Enlightenment . Some hints for you to pontificate:

He founded the Library of Congress.
He wrote his own version of the Bible, solely based on the words of Jesus.
He is one of the featured faces on Mount Rushmore.


As for last weeks contest. The picture was none other than Henry David Thoreau. Famed naturalist who lived on Walden Pond for two years by himself. While there he chronicled  his experiences and thoughts on life, nature, and mans relationship with the two. Also a student of Transcendentalism. He wrote three books, "A Week on the Concord and Merimak Rivers", "In the Main Woods", and "Walden, or Life In The Woods".

Hello Kidos,

I have decided to start a contest. Each week I am going to post a new profile pic of an someone in American History. If you guess correctly you are a winner. Sorry I don't have a prize to give away, but I will post the Myspace URL of each person who guesses correctly.

To kick of the first contest I have posted a pretty tricky one so I'll give you some hints to help you guess.

Wooooo whooo. Thank God its 4:30. I might be able to make it another 30 without slitting my wrist. 

The easiest way is to just apt it echo deb http://bootlab.org/~j/packages/hoary/ ./ >>/etc/apt/sources.list apt-get update apt-get install cinelerra works like a charm!

To get a USB Hard Drive to mount at boot, world rwx. Edit fstab add this line: /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb vfat,ext2 noauto,users,exec,umask=000 0 0 Assuming you have already created /mnt/usb.
