The beating of my heart; it's coming in and going out. But here lies
the power of faith; we're calling out whats real or fake. I'm searching
for the secret place to call my own forever. There's nothing here for
me in this world; the life I live is not like before. I'm yearning for
Zion! In the secret place I will dwell; For Zion will be restored! When
I find myself, I'll let you know (that I am not my own). I'll remember
the way it used to be (that I am not my own). Judge me, Oh God, for I
have walked in my own integrity. My man made images have finally took
a hold on me. I WILL NEVER LOOK BACK! Save me, Oh God, for the waters
have come up to my neck. Save me, Oh God, I sink in deep mire; I sink
in. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am
weary with my crying; my throat is dry, my eyes fail me as I wait
for my God. (The last part is taken straight out of the book of Psalms chapter 69) God bless, STS<3 heres a picture of a turtleburger:

Hey everyone!
Here's a quick update on what we've
been up to lately and what we've got going on in the near future.
Over the past couple months we have been writing a lot of new music
and getting things set up for the upcoming album. We hope to have 12
songs ready to hit the studio and be recording by April of 2010.
We finally have a solid line up once
again. It goes as follows -
JD Merrill – Lead Vocals and
Keyboards/Samples
The Sketchy Fellow.
Ian Reiter – Guitar
The Italian Stallion
Jordan DiSorbo – Guitar
The Black Guy
Ryan Myers – Bass Guitar
The Sceney Weeny
Daniel Gardner – Drums and Backup
Vocals
The Bright Guy
So yes, Dan is back in the band, but no
longer as the front man by his own choice. We're excited to have all
these new musicians writing for this new album. It's going to give us
a lot of new opportunities to expand our style and try new things.
We'll be touring from January until we
hit the studio in April, so check our page and make sure to come see
us if we're in your area!!
We love you guys! God Bless!!

Current mood: hopeful
Hey guys, As you know, STS has HORRIBLE luck with vans. And right now, our old van is being used as scrap metal after it crapped out on us in Virginia. So as of right now we found the van of our dreams. It's a 99 Ford E350 with 110,000 miles and is in awesome condition. The van was $5900 but we were able to talk them down to $5400 but with taxes it raises the final cost to $5811. Currently we are going to banks trying to take out a loan for $5000. Unfortunately the business that has the van can't take payments so we need all of the money up front. We leave for tour in 15 days (June 10th) and plan on doing a benefit show hopefully on June 6th. So this is where we need you. We are still extremely broke and will still need help with the van, and merch we only have 25 shirts total for this tour coming up and any future tours we do this summer. So you guys donating any spare change or whatever to use will not only help us out in more ways than one but, also mean so much to us. We truly do have the greatest fans in the world and, we know that by the grace of god Settle the Sky can make it through anything. Look at our page for tour dates with the ever so lovely Outrun the Gun and Versus the Ocean. With Love, Settle the Sky. UPDATE: The link to the pay pal isn't working so sit tight and we should have it up later tonight or tomorrow. This really means alot to us. We love you all so much. Far more than we love Taco Bell or Dollar Menus.=] UPDATE - JUNE 1ST, 2009:So after a week almost of trying to figure this out. Myspace does not allow paypal links anymore supposedly? Called the paypal and that's what they said. And even if they do still work somehow. You have to be a registered non-profit organization. lots lots lots of business stuff. So heres the deal. WE STILL WANT YOU TO HELP US OUT! But we need you to do it a little differently. This is what you need to do if you want to help: Send us a meesage containing the following: 1. Email 2. The amount you wish to donate 3. Your name We will then send you an invoice. Which will allow you to pay/donate the money towards helping us with evertyhing! Thanks a ton this once again really means a lot to us. Far more than we love playing THE GAME. =]

To all of you. Yes, you. Friends or fans, whatever you may call yourselves:
Thank you, from the bottom of all our hearts. Your patience and support have honestly meant the world to us. With all these changes, I know it can be easy to become a bit worried about whats going on in the STS camp. But I assure you, with these changes comes great oppurtunity and growth. The new material is pouring in, and God is blessing us with great friends and family to help us get back to the heart of things 100 times stronger.
Because of all of our fans, friends, and God's will..we have become a stronger band of brothers than ever before.
For all your patience, love, and support..come the 27th, you just might hear/and see a few surprises at our show. And after that, more surprises will follow. We will not let you down, that is a promise.
Big things are happening, and its because of you. Through the hard times, through the good times, you're always by our side and we thank you so very much. We are truly blessed with the best fans ever :]
And with that..a fitting Bible verse to finish:
Philippians 4:6-7Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
We love you<3
God bless,
Ian and the rest of STS

Current mood: chill
As many of you already know, our guitarist Elliott is now in Before Their Eyes.
We simply wish him the best of luck and just so you know he leaves STS as a brother! We all feel that this was a very big opportunity for him as a musician! He called us numerous times to talk this over with us and every time he wanted to know what our thoughts were on this we told him to go for it! Before Their Eyes has been our good friends for many years so we know Elliott is with some awesome guys!
Elliott is one of the sweetest dudes we have ever met! We love him like a brother! We know God has some awesome plans for him in the future! We will miss him so much but Elliott will always be our best friend and a part of Settle The Sky!
As for Settle The Sky, Losing both guitarists we know that God still has a plan! Mike has moved to guitar and our old bass player Ryan Myers is back on bass! Our good friend Ian Reiter is filling in for tours and such!
Thank you guys so much for your continuous support! If your planning on going to any of the Before Their Eyes shows on there upcoming tours please go say Hello to their new member! Elliott!
Tour was awesome we just got home tonight! We were out since Jan. 12th. So its good to be home! We have been writing some new tunes for everyone so we hope we can be ready to play a new song or two very soon!
God Bless-STS

Current mood: excited
Ok, As The Driver Myself(Mike) I will tell you exactly what happend. We had just got done touring with 'Vanna', awesome dudes by the way, but we played our last show and decided to do the 13hour drive(which ended up being 19hours) home straight through the night. So we left around 11pm. We started getting some bad weather around 1 or 2 am. There was alot of heavey snow on the roads and the plows werent keeping up with the snow. So around 5am in New York, it was almost impossible to see the road. I couldn't tell where the lanes where. Luckily there was no other traffic in sight. So i'm doing about 40mph and the snow was blowing across the road and made a drift, I didn't see it in time and hit it. We started swerving to the right and left and ended up sliding sideways blocking both lanes of the highway. i started yelling, 'PROTECT US JESUS!' And when the front drivers side tire hit the right ditch underneath a bridge it through us sidedways onto The sloped underside of the bridge. We were thrown completely on our side and basicly bounced off the wall and landed right side up. All of our belongings in the cubby holes fell out, everyone was thrown everywhere. After we stopped moving I asked if everyone was ok. They were, just a little shook up, no injurys. I then proceeded to get out of the van to check on the status of everything. There is a small dent in the van. A small dent in our trailer. And a little nick in the drivers side rim that gave us a slow air leak. There was no real damage. So I got back in the van and started it back up, started fine, It took a little tire spinning but we got right out of the ditch. Un harmed, and Un broken. There was no other explanation but God. We should have totaled the van, destroyed our trailer and equiptment, and gotten injured. but Praise God He came through for us!!!!!!! We were able to finish the drive home safely from New york!!!!!! We are all very thankful to be here right now and hope that this may be another form of proof that we can show you that GOD IS REAL!!!!! God Bless you all as much as he has us! We Love You!!!! -Mike

This band has been my life for the past three and a half years. But as much as I love this band, its time for me to move on to other things. As they go on tour for the next nine months I will be finishing school and finding out what God has for me and my future. I'm leaving on good terms. There are no bad feelings between me or any of the guys. I love them all and they will always be like brothers to me. I thank all the fans for all the love and support you have given to us and i will never forget the memories that I have had in STS. I love you all and will miss all the fans and shows. God Bless Jeremiah Britner.

SETTLE THE SKY TO RELEASE "NOW THAT WERE WAITING" ON STANDBY RECORDS
EP AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY AT ITUNES OCTOBER 28
Hailing from Ohio this Christian rock outfit has fought their way out of the ordinary by finding a way to twist metalcore and unearth a sound that is all their own. Fusing complex rhythms, classical piano overtures, and of course breakdowns and two-steps, Settle the Sky packs a nice punch in their 6 song EP titled "Now That Were Waiting" recorded and mixed by Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Mychildren Mybride) to be released on Standby Records as an iTunes exclusive on October 28, 2008.
Formed in the summer of 2006, Settle the Sky is a band you will want to keep a close eye on. As they continue to grow, so does their sound. With each coming song is a progression of musicianship, experimentalism, and overall songwriting skills.
After one listen it is easy to see that their deeps beliefs are at the center of this group's music. We want everyone who hears us to know that we stand for something more than just music." says keyboardist JD Merrill. "The darkness in our music is our way of remembering the light we're given."
Ready to stake their claim as more than just musicians, Settle the Sky will not leave you disappointed.
Track list: 1. Cheyenne 2. Now That We're Waiting 3. Woe the Unrepentant Cities 4. The Relentless 5. The Gunslinger 6. Amour Propre
