its been such a long fucking road...but it seems as though things are finally coming together as far as me trying to actually release a cd and to make it available for purchase...
to be honest...right now i am so worn out over the whole damn process and life in general that getting it to where its available for anybody to purchase will make me plenty happy...even they dont sell...at this point i am proud of at least getting it to this point...pretty much all by myself...i have made hundreds of mistakes in the process but i have learned a hell of a lot and if i do this again...or if i have to do this again i wont make the same missteps and next time it should be 100% easier...
all that being said...my cd should be available for purchase on cd baby any day now...it should also be available for download on other downloadable music services like, rhapsody, itunes, emusic, amazon... within the next 4 or so weeks and my cd will be sold in virgin megastores which brings me to remind yall this sunday night is my cd release party at the virgin megastore in downtown disney...
also...i have been taking off old songs from my first cd from 2007 and replacing them with tracks off of my new cd to help show it off...i will not replace take me home but all the other songs on my profile will now feature songs off of "summer camp music..."
sorry for the long ass post...thanks for listening...

i was interviewed by the www.rock-is-life.com website... i was asked to take part in their "5 questions" section of their site... the five questions they asked are below... to read them and my answers head on over to their site and check it out here... www.rock-is-life.com/2008fivequestions/christiansummer.htm 1. if i knew absolutely nothing about christian summer, how would you describe your music to me? 2. if i were to buy your new album, what songs should i pay particular attention to and why?
3. what was it like being the only acoustic artist at orlando, florida's biggest indie festival [anti*pop festival]?
4. what was your worst on stage experience? what was your best?
5. do you think that the internet (whether it be internet radio, legal downloading, myspace, streaming audio, etc.) is a good tool for musicians or is it a bad thing because it hinders profits? also... i got some cool stuff coming down the pipeline... i will be updating a lot of stuff really soon... i am excited about may be on the horizon... thanks for listening... -c

in case you have not noticed...my whole web server has been down for nearly a week...this means that my regular site ( www.christiansummermusic.com ), has been down, and several parts of my myspace page (and other sites) have been broken because it cannot access files that are hosted from my site... i apologize...but its not my fault... do not, i repeat, do not ever trust your web hosting needs to 1and1.com ...they are a bunch of total fuckups. i have been a loyal customer of theirs for nearly 8 years both in paying my bills, and referring hundreds of other people to their services...thing is my site has been down for over 72 hours and counting... despite repeated calls to their outsourced, broken english, incompetent techs located in the philippines (1000's of miles away from any actual hardware in which my site is hosted), and numerous emails to people all over the company...not a single email has been returned, a solution or compensation offered, an estimated time to return to service given, or even a simple acknowledgment that they have done anything wrong...all they tell me is that i need to be patient...6 hours is being patient, over 72 hours of downtime is being an idiot... so with the recommendation of friends off of the arstechnica.com forums (which is a great tech site if you are into tech and science news), i think i have found a new web host that is affordable and seems willing to meet my small needs...thing is it takes time (anywhere from 24 to 48 hours) for my site to be redirected and then propagated through all the worlds dns servers...there is a hell of a lot of technical mambo jambo, that even i dont fully understand when it comes to this stuff...so i hope that this will be resolved on my end sooner rather than later... i have already made the changes necessary (at least i hope i made the right changes)...so hopefully all should be mostly well by the end of the day... the moral of the story... 1and1 web hosting sucks ass...dont use them, dont think about using them, dont register domains through them, dont give them your credit card number, cause you will regret it...they dont give a shit... thanks for listening... -c ps...this wont be the last thing you hear from me regarding 1and1...so if you dont like my ranting you can ignore any further references to them or their services...
