thu. feb.17th--we drove through the night to our nation's capital. thanks to everyone at GW's radio station. the show at dc9 was, how shall i put this...amazing. each band we had the honor to share the bill with were spectacular. the receiver from columbus OH, someone still loves you boris yeltsin from springfield MO, catfish haven from chicago, and these united states from d.c. we love each and every one of them, and each and every one of you who came out and had fun with us on thursday.

fri. feb.18th--the next day saw us arrive in nyc for our show at sin-e. the first band of the evening was the tender trio, featuring ex-members of spacehog and blind melon. we had the pleasure of following their wonderful set, and also of playing with our friends the bosch, and a + p and the octagon. we also met paul bettany and his wife jennifer connelly. they were there to see their friends in the tender trio and were gracious enough to stay for our set and talk to us afterwards and buy cd's. all in all, a wonderful night in the big apple.

sat. feb.19th--we ventured north out of the city and played an acoustic set at coconuts music in port chester. thanks to everyone of the staff there, they treated us wonderfully. we got back to our roots with an acoustic, no mic performance and met some new friends. thank you.

that is where the good fortunes ended. later that night, somewhere in pennsylvania, one of the trailer tires exploded as we were watching the original dawn of the dead in the van. two hours passed before we got moving again and we landed in harrisburg. we searched the city for replacement tires the next day, and truly lucked out and found two new tires in a little mom and pop place called wal-mart. thank you hyper-consumerism!

don't worry, we made it home safely late sunday night/monday morning. once again, thank you to everyone who came to see us at any of our shows this weekend. stop by and say hello to us when you can.

cheers,
the apparitions

thu. 2/2--our weekend, dubbed the "campaign of destruction", started off in lovely downtown charleston w.v. tom was our ever gracious host at the blue parrot. we harnessed the energy of the giant mural of rock stars on the wall behind us and had a wonderful time with our friends the emergency. later we retired to the wehrle estate and met john wehrle, a true charleston legend. his immense wall of records was only dwarfed by his incredible hospitality. you've never really heard "blue cheer" until you've heard it at john wehrle's home.

fri. 2/3--we next headed to one of our favorite towns in the good ol' USA, morgantown w.v. the two robbie(y)s descended upon wwvu like the wonder twins and debated some of the major problems facing the world today. suffice it to say, robbie(y) won. then we capped off the evening at the lovely rosewood theater, again with our friends the emergency. thanks to everyone who came out.

sat. 2/4--sat. night saw us return to our home away from home, iota club & cafe. words can not begin to describe how much we love iota and everyone there. and we had the pleasure of sharing the stage once again with the emergency, and also with d.c.'s own gist. at the end of the night, i saw chuck norris in the corner, rubbing his beard in approval at the rock he had witnessed.

so once again thank you to everyone who came to see us, talked to us, fed and housed us, etc.. we'll be back in d.c. on an amazing bill at DC9 on feb. 16th (see profile for more details), and in new york at sin-e with the bosch on feb. 17th. come out and say hello to us if you can.

cheers,
robbie

first of all, thank you to everyone who came out to see us in cincy, urbana, and chicago. we had a great weekend. to recap:

thursday 1/26---we had a fantastic time at woxy.com with shiv, mike, brian, etc. visit them here www.woxy.com and check out the podcast of our show, and find out about mark's true musical inspiration.

we followed that up with a visit to alchemize with labelmates sundayrunners and cincy's very own turnbull ac's. puck was our ever gracious host, and no one was tazed (or is it tazered?) this time, which was nice. the next day justin and i watched carnival of souls. it was a true bonding moment as we shared our love of horror movies.

friday 1/27---we played our maiden show in the quaint town of urbana IL at the iron post. we arrived to find a packed house at 8:00, which was very nice. and they gave us free beer, which was also nice. they were all there to see a different band, but those who stayed are forever endeared to us. forever.

saturday 1/28---we arrived in the windy city and were greeted with...wind. and rain. we braved the elements to play the flagship tower records store on clark street. we had a great time watching customers browse as they listened to our record playing over the store p.a. special thanks to our wonderful host miguel and the entire staff.

then it was off to our favorite club in chicago, the hideout, once again with our labelmates sundayrunners. another wonderful crowd, and a good time was had by all, especially the birthday boy eric. special thanks to our sure-handed barkeep nat, and soundman mike. we also got to see hot new stand-up comic sculpturehead, which was a real treat.

all in all, a fabulous weekend for the apparitions. we'll be on the road again this weekend to charleston wv, morgantown wv, and washington d.c. stop by and say hello if you can.

cheers,
robbie
