Inspiration.....that is what I hope this blog does for you.
Please read what my friend Scotty D is up to...it is amazing and not something "I" could do (although I hope to hand him a Smart Water, around NOHO on the day of his run) Personally, I just sent 25% of my weekly earnings (a whooping 10 bucks, that is HOW broke I am right now) and I am not asking you to do the same, but if you can find an extra buck or two, it really will add up. Sometimes I think we don't do things, because we don't think that our 'little' contribution will make a difference, but IT WILL... The reason I made the effort to get out an envelope, head down to the post office and mailed off a money order was because of the little bulletins that Scotty has regularly posted on Myspace. I know he gets them from somewhere else, but taking the time to re-post those has been inspirational for me! So my $10 is for all the inspiration I have received and often passed around from Scotty D.
If you would rather NOT send money to help a child outside the US or your own country, that is okay...use this bulletin to inspire yourself to do something for a child in your own community. Donate to a school, shelter, or youth group. If you don't like kids, help some animals.....whatever it is that you would be willing to give to 'if' you had the money.....believe me when I say, a dollar or two to ANY cause will make a difference, and the truth is, whatever you put out there, will come back to you, often in multiples, so put out some good stuff and watch it come rolling back to you.
Please repost if you can...Scotty has 3000+ friends and so do I...if only 25% of you send a $1.00 that is $1500 for this cause or one closer to your heart.
So PLEASE make a difference, no matter how small TODAY!!!

"Always On The Run" - Lenny Kravitz

Well now that my chiropractor has deemed me "back to normal" (though I would seriously bring into question his definition of "normal"), I think that it is time to "celebrate." In honor of the occasion, being ever the one ready to do things on a grand scale, I am choosing to tone up in an extreme way while concurrently conducting a charity fundraiser of sorts, partially for the wonderful ten-year-old girl who I sponsor in Indonesia through Compassion International. Her name is Trischa or 'Icha' (see scan below), and she lives in a very impoverished area on the plains of Gadingan, north of Surakarta, in between Jakarta and Bali. I plan on accomplishing this task by running a marathon distance from the Santa Monica Pier all the way to Burbank without stopping, barring debilitating injury, catastrophic earthquake or some similar occurrence. Yes, I will be starting where Route 66 ends and running through Santa Monica, Brentwood, Westwood/UCLA, Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Beverly Hills, WeHo/Sunset Strip, Hollywood, Runyon Canyon, Studio City, NoHo Arts District and Burbank (see image below). Google Maps indicates that it would take about 9 hours to walk this distance, but hopefully I can shave that figure in half (I think I'll be shaving my own physical figure in half with this crazy idea!). *FOR FURTHER DETAILS

Kit’s Glass is an independent artist who creates beautiful one of a kind etched glass. Using a variety of glassware, new and recycled, she is often inspired by the shape and color, to create these amazing pieces. She does not use templates, but meticulously cuts each design by hand. The work varies from large unique pieces, to a beautiful variety of small bottles, for oils and other things. Kit’s designs are often inspired byspecial orders from customers, pagan imagery, and certainly her love of piracy! Some of my personal favorite items are small vials that have been made into pendants to wear. These are the perfect gift for someone or even yourself!Kit has a website: www.kitsglass.net
She is also on Etsy (if you are unfamiliar with this site, it is similar to Ebay, but is specialized to just support independent artists of many genres)
www.kitcameo.etsy.com
So, I am encouraging you to not only support an independent artist, but she also has awesome stuff!

http://myspace.com/celticjackalope1
as I mentioned in a bulletin or two, this has always been a fan page (perhaps slightly more) but I have this great group of people and I think the world of the Celtic Jackalope product line...I started telling you ALLLLLL about it...
this week, Celtic Jackalope themselves created a profile of their own and as I am such a big 'fan', I could only make sure you all know about it! (there was a bit of a delay, damn Malware, but that is solved, thank goodness)
do go check the new profile, I believe that they may have pictures of products that are not yet on the website even...and remember that if you have seen something at a show and it isn't on the website, just give them a call and ask...
so here is the myspace profile again: http://myspace.com/celticjackalope1
and we wouldn't want to forget: www.celticjackalope.com either...

I wanted to share some pictures from my booth at Pagan Pride Los Angeles, so you can see how beautiful these pieces are in any setting. If you would like to see quality pictures of these items, go to www.celticjackalope.com
Pagan Pride was an awesome event this year, although I never left the booth, with many people exclaiming over these statues that they had only seen in catalogs or online. Truly these Goddesses shine best when admired in person! Which means you should order yours now. (and mere pictures do not do the detail on these statues justice.)

And here are some of the wall plaques available:

These items and more are available at www.celticjackalope.com
