In Spider-Man 2 Peter Parker is faced with some tough decisions. He is struggling to maintain his personal life while at the same time using his supernatural powers to combat evil. It got so difficult at one point that he was on the brink of ending his run as the famous web slinger. But something stopped him, he remembered the words of his late uncle Ben, "with great power comes great responsibility". I think we all know what happens next, Peter Parker goes on to make Spider-Man 3 which grossed $555,400,000 world wide. Wow, I guess the moral of the story is to never give up even when times get tough.
Now I know what you're thinking, "But Drew, you stupid jerks just broke up, putting an end to your short lived careers as musicians. Who are you to talk to us about not giving up?"
Well calm down guys thats what I'm getting at, after careful thought and consideration we are back and ready to rock again! And while we may never make millions, hopefully we will be able to make sweet rock and roll for your ear drums to dance to.
So here's the 411, we're back playing shows in New England starting this summer so make sure you check our myspace frequently for show updates. Also, stay tuned for a whole new myspace layout, some online merch specials and maybe even a new song!
We hope your as excited as we are and leave some love on the myspace!
From your buddies,
Dean, Tom, Jon, and Drew

So I decided that if yer gonna be a real band, you better start blogging your head off - or at least putting important details in them so they are easily accessible to cool kids that read these things. Sooooherewego. Tomorrow morning we leave for Soulfest '07 up at Gunstock Mountain in New Hampshire. We're pretty pumped to say the least. It's a nice break from our usual jobs and we're hoping to make a lot of new friends. If you're going to be there check us out on Wednesday at the Deeper Well stage at 6:00 pm. In somewhat bad news, our van went ka-put right in time for all of this. We were driving in Massamachoosetts last weekend when it started slowing down and heating up like the 4th of july so we pulled over and wouldn't ya know - Slimer was hangin out under out hood meltin his green ooze all over the darn place. Okay not really, but it was pretty bad, and now we're on the hunt for a new vehicle before we hit the road. All in all, we're pretty grateful it happened now than later. Hmm.... other things, other things to talk about... Okay, we've got a brand spankin new website! It's fresh, maybe too fresh for you right now. We understand. Check it out at www.palarismusic.comWell guys. It's that time again to close with something clever. Not this time, Palaris

First! let us apologize for not keeping in touch with any friends we've made over the past 9 months as a band, and for being realllly lazy with staying up-to-date with our e-friends... if we have any.
Oh man, way to start off a blog sounding way more pompous than we are. what a great face I just e-made.
anyways.
Let me see what I can talk about. Unfortunately... I'm really methodical and work best with lists, so here we go!
Top Ten Things You Didn't Care About Until You Read This Unfortunately Long Header
1) Palaris was recently bought out by the snowmobile company Polaris to put an end to name confusion across the globe. We are now legally obligated to incorporate snowmobile sound effects throughout our set. In return, all snowmobiles manufactured in the future will sport a pinwheel decal.
2) We're going into the studio for the last few weeks of March and the first half of April to record a 10 song album!
3) Due to a lack of press photos, myspace viewers are now subject to viewing Tom and Jon's butts. Wallet imprints?..No, glutes of steel.
4) We're currently in the process of booking a 4 week tour in June with our good friends The Comeback Tour!(check them out in our top friends). If all goes as planned, we'll be making our rounds in New England and then heading out through Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and then back up the east coast. We're pretty much as nervous as we are excited to hit the road and bearrrd it up.
five) GOLDEN RIIINGGGGGS!!!
6) .....are the 12 days over already?
7) We've been busy little beavers with jobs and new jobs and quitting jobs and who knows what else at this rate. And to no avail, all 4 of us are still in musical equipment debt, and this is pretty much a shameless plea for cash. We don't condone you killing off your rich relatives or breaking into Fort Knox, but that's just for the record ;)
8) Dean recently played an acoustic set at an Invisible Children screening here in town and we were able to talk to some of the guys and gals working on the IC street team. They're all amazing people for giving up their lives to help spread the word about the Invisible Children, and hopefully we'll soon have Invisible Children shirts to sell at our shows. All money made from them would be kept seperate and sent back to the organization. Keep an eye out for those.
9) We love you. <3
|O) And we hope that we'll get to see most of your faces at The Space in Hamden on March 24th! It's a saturday night, it'll be baaaalllin'/off the hook/in yo face sheezey, and you definitely need to make it out for all the amazing bands playing with us that night. We'll have posters and flyers and other assorted names for paper up everywhere so we won't let you forget!
And that's about all. Enjoy your spring breaks, and have a luvlee eve-nen.
-Jon

Hey Guys and Gals! Sooo.. This is kind of a "we're bored and have nothing better to do" decision we made. We have no songs online - haven't recorded yet, BUT that is not stopping us from posting some Romeo & Juliet-esque lyrics for y'all to soak in. Okay. So they're not that great(don't tell Dean I said that he's in the other room!) but maybe um.. you'll recognize some of them when you hear them. Or maybe you'll just be able to relate to some. Maybe.. And plus you get to see what we're all about. Hopefully you like it. Looove yoouu
Ghost Please tell me what's the use Each word I say just ties one more knot into the noose Knees weak, hands are shaking, look at how she's hesitating Looks like I've raised up the flag Looks like the towel has left my hand
(chorus) So you know, just so you know With just the slightest suggestion My soul could fall through the floor
I see the open door let's the turn the key and act like we don't miss what's before Don't look, dive in deeper Let's pretend the spirit's weaker Looks like I've raised up the flag Looks like the towel has left my hand
Iscariot I'm here to let you down Pick up the gas and burn this to the ground I'm not the person you see Barely a kiss on the cheek I've been here once before Say all the words but leave you wanting for more Leave you wanting more
(chorus) Please help me to be The person I need to Help me to love them more like You do I'll tell you the truth I'm far from the proof they need To have a future with You
I'm here to let you down Believe it or not I don't have this all down I'm not the person you see Take time to stop and repeat I've been here twice before Say all the words but leave you wanting for more Leave you wanting more
Masquerade I'm done with trying to think That I'm the one at fault I've given you enough I think I'll take this for myself Do you remember or think at all That I'm the one who ran away And you're the one who called
So take back, take back All you ever thought And dream that, dream that I was at a loss for words If it makes things better Let's reintroduce ourselves, because
(chorus) I tried to let you go But you held on to tight The words I said were sweet But they should've stayed inside Let's try this all again and Skip naievity I know you had your fun but baby that just isn't me.
I'm done with trying to be The highlight for a girl A girl whose arms are open til she's had her fill. I still remember and think to call But you're the one with blood-stained hands I can't respect at all.
So take back, take back All you ever thought And dream that, dream that I was at a loss for words If it makes things better Let's reintroduce ourselves, because
A Long Walk Home With less room to breathe And less time to know There's something scary About shutting off the lights on all we know With blood rising up And waves crashing down You make it plain to see why I'll never be putting on this crown.
And it's a long walk home To the end.
(chorus) There goes my pain I find it hard to say no I fall in love each time You say so Let's move these clouds I'd like to see the sky blue But colors are nothing without you.
With hope thinning out And fear filling in I see the trigger pulled Taking homes away from all the sin But don't be alarmed The scope sees me too The red dot on my chest is the proof.
And it's a long walk home To the end
Thinking To Listen Your dreams have left the ground And i'd take note It's safe to say that Time will be the one to bring you down
Concealed ambition and silenced fame Don't doubt these things are Coming back to give themselves a name.
It's times like these I never think to listen I just talk until I'm done, talk until i'm done And I know You know exactly what I'm saying I'll still talk as if You don't, talk as if You don't
Kiss the Ground I know falling is faster But I'm sure I can count on disaster These wings will carry me safely If I let them be real and fly But right now I'm bent on forgetting I'm set on calmly resetting I'm sure I'll come back eventually When I breathe my last on earth.
(chorus) You're the one who knew better You told me from the start But nothing hurts worse Than rejection from the heart. I'd like to try this all over And let my guard down Let's turn this thing sideways Time to kiss the ground
I hear each word you're saying But I'm fine ignoring the blessing For now I'll take what I'm taking And regret this sometime down the road And I can't let you take over I cant give all of me to you Cause right now I'm loving the shallow And your depth is the last thing I need.
(bridge) It's time to get it together Time to let some light shine through Cause the fire keeps burning And hearts keep searching And we all knew better than this from the start
I know He'll love me forever I know He's well worth my time Cause He cried for my soul, died for my soul And He loves me with blood from hands
