With so many profile builders out there any one can "pimp" their profile. I have a background and some pictures on mine. But how much stuff is too much? I go to some profiles and it takes forever to load. Then there's so much stuff on the profile I usually don't look at the whole thing.

If someone sends me a friends request I look at their profile. I want to know who they are. I do appreciate a message saying who they are or why they want to be my friend. Being a network marketer I attract other network marketers. I see many times where they haven't even looked at my profile.

Sometimes after one or two messages they're trying to get me into their deal instead of building a friendship.  Anyway to get back on track...You don't need to put 12 videos, 100 pics  and a profile a mile long. I hate to think I've missed out on some awesome people because their profile jammed up my computer.

Sometimes less is more and more is just too much.

What does that mean? You know you can't build a business by yourself or without the right skills. Conference calls and events should be a must in your organization. Now in the beginning you may not be able to attend events but conference calls are an easy way to stay plugged in.

I especially like interactive team calls. If you have a question but don't ask it, well that's not going to help. BUT get on the calls anyway. You hear about timing all the time. Timing can be different thing to different people. Timing in their life, in their day, in their personal development, in their finances.

If you're not plugged in-get plugged in. If you have people on your team who aren't quite taking the action they need at least get them on calls. Send them a reminder about the calls the day before or earlier in the day. Send them a quick overview of the call is they don't make it on.

You can't make someone work the business but you shouldn't ignore them or give up on them. Spending a few minutes once a week or so even if it's just a quick email will let them know you're there. When they're ready to move forward you'll be the first to know.

We get into network marketing to create a lifetime of residual income. You develope relationships by seeing what you can do for someone else. By helping everyone succeed you also succeed. We all want to get that extra paycheck or create a legacy income, the kind of money that gives us total control of our lives.

There's one simple question most people don't know the answer to and that's "How many people do I need in my organization to reach my income goal?" If you don't know go upline until you find someone who knows the answer. This is residual (retail) income only. Not sponsoring bonuses, bonus pools or super commander level bonuses.

I know in my company I need 350-400 active people to make $10,000 a month. In some companies you need 2,000-3,000 and even 10,000 people to make $10,000 a month. Which number would you rather need, a big number or a small number?

Have you ever tried expaining your business to someone and found their eyes glazing over because they have no idea what you're talking about? Instead of jumping right into your opportunity explain what residual income is.

They already have a job-"linear income" but explain it anyway. You go to work you get paid. You don't go to work you don't get paid. vs-"residual income" Do the work once and get paid over and over and over.

I like to explain residual income in terms they already understand-a royality check. Normally only rock stars, authors and pro athletes get royality checks but network marketing allows the average person to get them.

Once you build that relationship and have customers ordering product month after month and year after year there's your residual income. You don't have to do all the work yourself either. By helping your distributors succeed and get a check you get one too. Noone can build it alone.

We 're all different, this is a guideline be personal, use examples make yourself clear, just be you. Don't go overboard telling everything about how your company works that can be a part of the training. Remember it's all about relationships.

This is a great book by Shad Helmstetter. From the time we are children our thoughts and beliefs are programmed by outside influences. Our family, friends and even the media. Helmstetter says by the time we are 18 years old, we are told "NO" or "you can't do that" more than 148,000 times. Leading behavorial scientists say as much as seventy-five percent of everything we think is negative or counterproductive.

How often have you told yourself "I'm never going to able to lose this weight", "I'm terrible at job interviews", "I'm never going to get out of debt", "I have the worst luck". The problem is "thoughts become things". You are the only person responsibe for what happens in your life. You create your reality. As you go through your day, pay attention to what you tell yourself or even other people. You may be surprised.

Changing this mindset, at first, can be difficult, when you talk to yourself in a positve way, sometimes it feels like a lie but that's ok, that feeling will begin to change, if you are consistent. This book is a guide to understanding how you are keeping yourself from having the things you want, health, great relationships, wealth or whatever your goals are. It's also a great guide to help you start creating the reality you want

There's a great book called 'Leading Leaders to Leadership' by John Fuhrman. Here's one my favorite quotes "There are only two possible outcomes to a decision you make today regarding your future: It will either bring you closer to your desired destination or push you further away from it." Whatever it is you want to do in life or in business, think about this, what decisions are you making?
