AGAINST THE PLAGUES (featuring members of LOST HORIZON/LUCIFERION/FOREST OF IMPALED/MALEVOLENT CREATION/DAMNATION) has signed distribution deal in Europe with Plastic Head Ltd. Architecture Of Oppression will be released exclusively in UK and Ireland on January 19th.

"Finally after several months of paper works, negotiations and other preparations distribution deal in Europe with Plastic Head is confirmed. I am very happy about that. Plastic Head is very solid and professional company, I guess one of the biggest distro/merchandise label in Europe," commented co-founder Varyen Chylinski. "Definitely, it s big opportunity for Against The Plagues to promote our music and hopefully those European metal maniacs who didn't have a chance to buy Architecture... in their local music stores will find our album soon. I would like to thank Code 7 agency from London for all work they did for us and helped make it happened. I am in Florida right now, visiting my friends from DIVINE EMPIRE. We just started jamming with Jason Blachowicz and Marco Martell last week and I can tell you. We have three powerful songs ready! This shit sounded very extreme and dynamic! I don't want to talk more about it because its only jam session but we'll see what happened in the near future. It's a new year, new opportunities, new visions and new adventures.

A new video interview with AGAINST THE PLAGUES members Varyen Chylinski and Adrian Adamus is now avaialble.

The founding members discuss the alliance between musicians from different countries, process of album recording and band philosophy. Video contains short clips from the band's live performance in Chicago during their "warm-up" tour last year.

AGAINST THE PLAGUES, the mighty alliance featuring Swedish/Polish/American members of LOST HORIZON, LUCIFERION, MALEVOLENT CREATION, FOREST OF IMPALED has announced a distribution deal with Century Media for their self released album, Architecture Of Oppression, in The United States.

Commented drummer Varyen Chylinski: "I just returned to Chicago from California, a great state with beautiful beaches and vast vineyards. During my time there, I had the opportunity to meet with my friends from AT THE GATES at their show in Hollywood. Their performance at the Henry Fonda Theater was tight and impressive. I also visited the Century Media office in LA and met with Eric Williams - Direct Sales Manager of the label. After a very nice and professional conversation we agreed that ATP needs professional distribution provided by Century Media.

Currently our album Architecture Of Oppression is available for purchase through CM Distro and will be shortly available to all metal record stores within the scope of their distribution network. I am very pleased that we signed this deal and hope that this will help catapult our name to a wider audience of metal fans who have not had a chance to hear our masterpiece. I would like to thank all of our loyal fans who bought the album on our site and encouraged us to make Architecture… available to record stores across the world. We are currently planning a US tour for this coming winter and can't wait to perform for all our fans. Stay tuned for more news, this is just the beginning…"

AGAINST THE PLAGUES has announced the addition of ex-MALEVOLENT CREATION/DIVINE EMPIRE/KULT OV AZAZELguitarist/bassist Marco Martell, who will be taking over bass duties for the band.

The band's official statement reads: "It is an honor to now have Marco as a new addition to the ATP family. We feel that Marco’s involvement presents new possibilities that will add a new dimension to the music and live performances; this is a natural progression and a step-forward for the group. Marco is an accomplished musician with outstanding skill and talent; with that said, we are confident that fans will embrace this newly re-enforced lineup. We are excited and PROMISE an extreme and intense return to the stage in the future; until then, keep checking in with us. We also want to thank all the loyal supporters and die-hard metalheads for the continued support -we urge everyone to keep sending-in e-mails.

Marco states: "I have been friends with the guys for some time now, and it is only natural that we join forces, especially on a project of this high caliber. All members are by far, top notch musicians and great people to work with. I am definitely looking forward to sharing the stage with ATP."

The Against The Plagues lineup consists of Wojtek Lisicki (LOST HORIZON, LUCIFERION) on guitars, Varyen Chylinski (ex-DAMNATION, FOREST OF IMPALED) on drums, Adrian Adamus (Forest of Impaled, CORPHAGY) on guitars, Orlando “ Logan” Perez (VEX) on vocals and now, Marco who has recently been added to the lineup.

Against The Plagues released their debut album Architecture Of Oppression in 2007 which is available for purchase in select locations and can be ordered online or downloaded off the MySpace page, iTunes, and Rhapsody.

AGAINST THE PLAGUES lead vocalist Orlando Logan Perez has joined Texas metal band, VEX, winners of the Xtreme Texas Metal Band Of The Year in 2006. On April 1st this announcement was made on the vocalists' personal blog; however, being that it was April 1st, there was some debate to whether the singer was provoking a hoax.

Logan has recently confirmed that he will be the new vocalist for Vex in the following statement: “I am honored to be working with such great musicians and great long-time friends that share similar visions, philosophies, and burdens. Although my work with Vex will be significantly different than that of Against The Plagues, I believe it will present a similar spirit of aggression, harmony, and intellectualism.”

Vex’s first full length album entitled Thanatopsis is expected to be released this summer before they return to complete their second album expected to be released early next year. In 2007, Vex completed a US tour supporting AVENGER OF BLOOD and GODLESS RISING.

AGAINST THE PLAGUES, the new "mystery metal" act consisting of Adrian Adamus (FOREST OF IMPALED, CORPHAGY - guitars), Varyen (DAMNATION, Forest Of Impaled - drums), Wojtek Lisicki (LOST HORIZON, LUCIFERION - lead guitar/vocals) - along with Logan Perez (lead vocals) and Martin Widel (keyboards), have issued the following:

"First of all we would like to wish the best to all our fans and metal-heads who have supported Against The Plagues in the past two years, those who attended our warm-up tour and those who have purchased our debut record – we wish you a great and prosperous new year in 2008!

"The brand new Against The Plagues album is finished and scheduled for release on September 1st, 2007. Architecture Of Opression will be available for purchase on our official website and MySpace page only in the US. We'll keep you informed about the European release as soon as we finish negotiations regarding license and distrubution deals.

Against The Plagues is described in a press release as a "power act of blasting musical and idological expression, presented in different extreme metal styles."

Palpable agressiveness, but also lots of melodies, different metal styles, many atmospheric and rhythmic changes makes the materical a collage of emotions and a breath of fresh air among the stench of modern colorless and monotonous releases."
