Malta's Brian James's new release it out. Three splendid techno tracks in Brian's own throbbing style! Available from Beatport, Junodownload, Trackitdown, etc.

Words: Brian James is back with mind-altering pulsating techno. La Ramblas De Mi Mente is a powerful and penetrating techno monster in full darkness mode, soul shattering beats that will have your limbs revolt against you, right there on the dancefloor, surrounded by incessant bass tremors. You know you want it! La Capanina is slightly more on the minimal mellow trip but nonetheless effective in moving your tush. One of those tracks that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Cafe24 heads back into the darkness where we want to be. Weird hypno mental sounds revolving around basic throbbing beats and warped grooves.
Sounds: 1. La Ramblas De Mi Mente 2. La Capanina 3. Cafe24
Some Feedback:
Laurent Garnier: Great galactic sonic techno tracks. Really like this (the 3 tunes). Will play for sure ! Dan Curtin: Nice release, I especially like La Ramblas and la Campanina but all three tracks are good! Would definitely play if it was on vinyl! Kasper & Papol (Esperanza): Thanks for the release. I really like it! La Capanina is awesome, will play for sure! Xpansul: Awesome!!! I love this guy's sound. You know I'll play this stuff :) Angel Molina: All this record is a perfect example of minimal / industrial stuff. My support! Dj Coyu (Atypical Farm): I'm not really into the whole ep, but i like a lot "Cafe24". Great hypno and mental old school techno. I'll play it. Tom Dazing: La Ramblas De Mi Mente is a real monster, thank you so very much!!! Really fat shizzle man. Dario Zenker: I love cafe 24! Amazing deep detroit stuff...

We decided to go digital with Aesthetik Records and we're starting off with Ozka, who already gave us the Phutro ep in 2006. Ozka's mini album, 'Where Is That Sound' digs deeper into minimalism, but rather from a conceptual point of view then from a 'hype' one. This release is already out and available from portals such as Beatport, Junodownload, Nuloop, Trackitdown etc. So it's all there for grabs! On to the official bits: AER008 Ozka - Where Is That Sound? Text: After a silent phase, which we all need now and then, Ozka is back with new productions. In fact we decided to release a mini-album since all 6 tracks work so well together and tell us a story about how minimalism can still be interesting and hypnotic, about how electronic music shouldn’t always be superstars and magazines. These tracks touch the deeper side of minimal techno. To sum things up: stripped harmony, hypnotic progressions and all the essentials we need to get through those last hours before dawn. Have a listen:Lower State of ConsiousnessTonik HaircutChic AlorsWhere Is That Sound?Born To Be LovedKontrolSome early feedback: Dario Zenker: thanks a lot super cool ep! i like it. my favs are Lower State of Consciousness and Born to be loved. But all tracks are cool. Estroe: I really dig 'Where's that sound', nice atmosphere, will play at the beginning of my sets. Franco Cinelli: really good work! Xpansul: Incredible release! Chic Alors and Born To Be Loved are my favs, but all of them are great. Thanks man! Tom Dazing: Kontrol is my absolute favorite, will play it!! Good powerful tracks! Thanks!!! Lee Holman: i really like the title track "where is that sound" off this e.p. A Deep Spacetrip! relevant url's:www.aesthetik-records.com www.myspace.com/aesthetikrecords www.myspace.com/ozkaoz

Aesthetik Records proudly (no kidding) presents Malta's Brian James's second release. Brian James - Rubber Doll (+Xpansul remix) text: On his second ep on Aesthetik Brian James shows his true colours. Dark, deep and stripped down techno with a solid old school, almost Chicago-esque feel to it. Rubber Doll instantly grabs you through its simplicity and efficiency. Pulsating beats, a mental bassline with a slight bleepy feel to it. A true techno dj's delight. Madrid's techno maestro Xpansul turns Rubber Doll into a harder edged techno stomper. Edgy technoid sounds and Xpansul's trademark dark rhythmic craziness makes this track essential to any self-respecting techno jock! Panic In Detroit is again a typical Brian James throbbing techno piece for when dancefloors go into "mental mode". Bubbling Custard takes a more experimental direction, reminiscent of early dark Model 500 tracks, but jacked up in Brian's very own wickedness. Dj-support by Adam Beyer, Alexi Delano, Paco Osuna… prelisten: Rubber DollPanic In DetroitRubber Doll - Xpansul remixBubbling CustardFeedback: Laurent Garnier (F-Comm): Brilliant proper techno release. Looove it of course. Will definitely play it out Many thanks for that. Paco Osuna (Plus 8, Mindshake): hey my congratulations for this ep, since i got the promo from xpansul can't stop to play it, is a big big tune, will be charted and for sure my total support for this tune, is sexy groovy, powerful, all the necessary for be a hit .CONGRATULATION!!!! Djinxx (Mezzotinto): Hi dude, i really like this release proper Techno. it reminds me a bunch of old stuff. i'll play Rubber Doll Original mix for sure. Chart and play - Peace DJINXX Mihalis Saffras (Material Series): nice massive production for that release. Will try it on dancefloor! Thanks Angel Molina (Minifunk, Moog): One of my records at the moment. No more words necessary… Biggest support! Xpansul (Plus 8, Disco De Latas): Amazing 3 tracks, all of them incredible, but probably my favourite one is Bubbling Custard. Jeff Mills would be proud! :) Psytox/Didier Sonderfall (Coincidence): Dude, Panic In Detroit is off the chain!!! But my absolute favourite is definitely Bubbling Custard. It euh... bubbles :) Love the way the loop seems to go completely off the beat and yet it fits in. Best Aesthetik for me so far, hang in there mate. Dario Zenker (Num): i like rubber doll. Super deep shit Relevant url's http://www.myspace.com/brianjamesmlt // http://www.aesthetik-records.com http://www.myspace.com/aesthetikrecords release date: early June Distributed by Straight Distribution (http://www.straight-audio.de)

The much anticipated Highway ep by Franco Cangelli, accompanied by a brilliant Reynold remix!! Promo text: A solid Detroitish techno ep from Franco Cangelli. Digging deep into his roots, he delivers 3 brilliant tracks that exemplify the machine soul of techno. 'Highway' pulsates with deep bass kicks, slowly evolves to a rhythmic orgy of beautiful detroitish chord layers. Future classic deep techno. The darker and moody 'Things Coming Together', works the dancefloor with classic 808 sounds, a square bassline, dark strings and a nasty, sticky melody. DBX meets Detroit. 'Presumably So' starts off on a minimal trip slowly evolving into a funky track with a moving bass string, squelchy electrifying sounds and a sweet pad to add a nice deep touch. Reynold then comes along with a mind shaking remix, funky chords, electro bassline, building up to an unrelenting dancefloor experience. Dj-support from Paul Mac, Ben Sims, Reynold, Estroe, Fabrice Lig, Adam Marshall, Angel Molina, Russ Gabriel… The Sounds
A1 HighwayA2 Things Coming TogetherB1 Presumably So (Reynold remix)B2 Presumably SoFeedback Paul Mac: Thanks for this one my favorite Aesthetik so far by a mile good work, Things Coming Together is the cut for sure, good work. Reynold: great record!!!! exactly the sound I wanna play now.. very detroit but still modern and fresh! + franco is a great guy and his label rocks so when he asked me, I didn't hesitate one bit to make that remix for him :-) Russ Gabriel: Another superb release from Aesthetik records. I absolutely loved the two mixes of "Presumably So" as soon as I heard them. Played the Reynolds mix in every set I've played since. Soulful techno at it's very best. This record is what it's all about. (Franco didn't want me to have this for Ferox, was saving it for Aesthetik.....bugger!) Fabrice Lig: Excellent e.p ! Really like the Presumably so (Reynold remix) really funky and deep track ! I also really like Highway ! excellent track too ! A nice e.p between old school and modern « minimal » high quality music Adam Marshall: I like the "Things Come Together" track alot.... killer funk Franco Cinelli: Amazing release, musica, no more frozen minimal Estroe: Thanks for your music. I'm especially going for the Reynold remix. And your track Highway is very beautifull, very Detroit indeed. Full support! AER001 Franco Cangelli - Mondo Guasto ep
Aesthetik Record's very first release is by the hand of Belgian producer Franco Cangelli. Already having some slick releases on Sushitech and Toys For Boys, his third vinyl ep playfully shifts between old school minimalist straightforwardness and solid experimental techno. It will put dancefloors in a hypnotic frenzy and make people thump to orgasmic rhythms. Work it out!

A1 Dysfunctional A2 Sneaky Intentions B1 Work It Out B2 The Happy Life Implant
AER002 Ozka - Phutro ep
Aesthetik's second release is by the hands of Belgian artist Ozka. Previously known under his moniker 'Kaoz' and from his collaboration with the 6th Sense Approach crew, his first releases appeared in the 90's on labels like Reload and Rotation. After a few projects for experimental labels Tibprod and Filament, he rises again and delivers 4 killer techno tracks, gripping rhythms, deep and seductive sounds, a perfect balance between minimal structures and detroitish sounds. AER003 Johan Fotmeijer - Critters ep (+Hakan Libdo remix)
Swedish techno talent Johan Fotmeijer, with releases on Adjunct, Kailash and Mitek, brings us the 3rd Aesthetik release. He takes us down a darker and mysterious road with mental driving basslines, throbbing beats and some healthy jacking funkiness. Dancefloors will tremble to Mystikkal's fat bass and Critters's dark atmospheres and vocals. Bass addicts will stand in line for their fix. For deeper journeys Female Robot will provide the necessary juice for warming up dancefloors like it should. Hakan Libdo's remix of Critters takes it down to a more twisted path with restless fat basslines and a dose of dancefloor madness. If you're looking for an ass shaking experience, here it is.. Aesthetik launches the debut vinyl ep of Malta's finest. Brian James spoils us with minimal and deep, hypnotic tracks. Soothing but gripping sounds layered on top of throbbing beats, a nice mind trip for afterhours dancefloors. Micromekanik combines machine soul with deep layers of searching and dreamy sounds. Onda Verde, is a playful track, basic rhythms with invasive elements to keep people going till dawn. Flambe in Paradise breathes sweet electricity and minimal chemistry. The ep comes with a wicked Pheek remix, subtle 'pheek' quirkiness, hypnotic drive and a basic house groove for afterhours frenzy. A must-have for every minimal freak out there!
Prelisten here:
A1 Micromekanik A2 Micromekanik (Pheek remix) B1 Onda Verde B2 Flambe in Paradise

Franco Cinelli: My Friend!, this release is super hot!, thanks for the music!!!! I play sure! Adam Marshall: Thnx for the promo! killer cuts. i will play Pheeks remix for sure, and I also quite like Onda verde as well. thanks!
